Not been too good a day on the markets but sun still shining. I been watching a little company called Inspirit energy , I have been invested but got out a while back. The reason I mentioned these is that they have a great idea for a new boiler, it is a gas boiler but produces 30% electricity as a by product Would be a great ploy by one of the big builders to install these in their new properties. Imaging the advert "comes with 30% free electric". They need cash and builders got it, wouldn't be that much. Let's hope it survives and gets to market

Hi Rugby Just been looking at the Q&A and the one answer on the steeldrum production is encouraging. They have teams working together under an initial temp contract to see where the best opportunities to increase production are. Very encouraging, 250 a cert in my books :))

I don't believe the housing market has reached the top of the cycle but it is coming. The current level of sales is unsustainable with the amount of people able to afford new houses diminishing. The growth for houses will be from affordable schemes. While the banks are advising customer to move out of sterling stocks and brokers putting high risk valuations on builders these stocks won't attract the investment industry. I personally am not putting anymore into this sector and reducing % of my pot even with all the bargains about Good luck with whatever your plans are :))

I am waiting with interest how the sp reacts for Gallifords and Bdev the former has a final divi of 49p and the latter has part final/special divi of 35p. I'm expecting both to drop but by how much % wise. I'm intending to hold on to GFRD for now but selling Bdev before end of Sept is still my plan.

Hi Tom He's done very well to come back and win that, the crowd was fantastic. My friend and I found a great water colour of Turnberry in an auction for very little cost and sold it nearly the next day for a good profit. Money to made in golf stuff. I'm more into cricket and rugby though, disappointed Worcester couldn't stop up in the cricket very good young team will be back. Can you name another City in UK that has within a couple of miles a county cricket team, premiership rugby team, horse racing track, top basketball team, and a top rowing club, sadly lacking a football team. It's been a spectacular rise over last few months I hope it will rise a lot more. I have a couple of issues with the fields they are in. Having invested in Lansdowne oil and PVR in the Barryroe field and seen spectacular rises in both with the same story as here ie millions of barrels plus a farm out. Made a bit with Lansdowne but didn't get out in time with PVR and sat on a big loss. The Trinidad field is or will be owned by CERP and we are the operator with a right to buy it. The well that has been drilled gave over 1000 bopd initially and then dropping back to a lower more steady rate with pumps which happens in Trinidad. I'm not expecting a vast improvement above 250per day. What I am invested for is the deal making this BOD can do. I think there is more likely a jv with CERP on the southwest peninsula closer to the Venezuelan oil fields and also with them in south America. This is only my opinion and probably wrong but let's hope for a stunning deal in the near future

Hi Tom When I was building the block of flats in Worcester in 2007 the storms flooded the site by 15" the drain flood flaps worked but the water came up the service entries, got some great photos of the cricket and race tracks under water. I haven't pressed the submit button on my tax yet but there was no allowance in the calculation

Hi dc Glad you doing ok. Just filled out my self assessment from memory last years we still had the tax relief , this years there is no tax relief and the divis are added to your income. Be my last year of that all my divis will be in my Isa. Good luck

I was listening to a conversation in the pub last night about spread betting. The one chap said he was Investing £1000 pm and getting a return of £300 . My ears picked up. The other guy turned to him and said" be careful they lure you into a sense of security and then you end up like me with nothing".

Hi Corlis I've never used charts I wouldn't know where to begin. I've watched Zak Mir a few times not sure if he gets anything right. To me if you look at the Tw chart the average max and min lines are converging in the 160s does that mean we are going lower. What is a candlestick and a downward leg sounds like horse racing jargon to me :))

Hi corlis This discussion has been good while there is a lull in news and get away from Brexit. I'm not surprised that others find critism in my picks. Exploration stocks use a large amount of money one drill might be the end. I've spent hours and hours researching Sound and CERP. James Parsons of Sou is a leader , a great deal maker. I would sell everything and follow him on his next adventure. Shareholders have gone to their office and he has welcomed them in to his office. He welcomes shareholders when they step out of the lifts at presentations. The geology of Morocco is fascinating with the gas trapped under 1km salt layer. On one flow test they burnt off 1 TCF (UK uses 3TCF a year) and it's replenished itself. I been in CERP since 2011 and I know the Trinidad geology . They have licenses 6 miles or so from the Venezuelan coast and there is much more upside with them than Trin especially with Leo Koot in charge. I would be concerned if people lose money on anything I say and do your own research plenty of videos etc and Malcy's blog. On a builder's note nice to see MJGleeson doing well . I'm not bothered if people don't believe my beliefs in Sound energy, I have done too much research not to realise this is going to be massive. The next drill will be the make or break I'm confident

Hi Nige I agree Tw is my bread and butter stock Regarding predator don't stay too long ,profit and out although the ceo has a strong following he used to run Fastnet oil. ATB :))
