Hi Trent Hope you are ok after your experience. I've been visiting in Cognac, France. Caught the train to Gatwick and had to change at Reading. Had time there to find a pub for lunch, found a pitcher and piano when we went in at 12.30 it was empty. I have to say it was the worst meal I've ever had and we only had fish and chips. How they can put a meal down in front of you with burnt chips, the peas were hard enough to break your teeth and the tartar sauce was onion sauce. When confronted the waiter didn't know what to say. All for £10 each (robbery in my opinion) What is happening with Marstons food the quality is certainly not what it was even 12 months ago. I can feel an e mail to Ralph Findlay coming on this is just not good enough no wonder the share price is struggling.

Hi Tag Quite agree with you I shall be here to the end but I would be disappointed with less than the four figures James suggested but whatever happens it's been a fantastic time and no other share has this buzz of excitement. I've been discussing this share with a lot of people even the other half and all I get he's at it again, so to all those non believers I shall say I told you so :)))))))

Hi Tom Think I recovered not sure if it was the travelling or the brandy oops cognac mustn't say the b word. Glad to see the markets recovering. That was a sensible decision not to raise rates, I didn't believe they should have raised the rates the last time due to our uncertain future. My family in France still believe things won't change next March, I couldn't persuade them otherwise. Most people over there are saying the same I hope their right it's going to be a nightmare travelling. I been looking on Rightmove this morning in Jarnac near Cognac there some great bargains there not like here but there's no cricket :(( Lets hope our Nige is right and the sp is on the start of an early Santa rally, back to 211 well I hope so but the 190 level would be welcome Hope you enjoying your walks ATB :))

Just made it back home from Cognac in France bit of a long journey, did it this time by getting to Gatwick by train. By the time the plane took off that was nearly 10 hours, then nearly 2 hours driving the other end. France is such a big place they very lucky having so much land. My niece is working for an estate agent and she says they are very busy with the English trying to buy and finalise the deal before next March. She told me if there is any mortgage involved then only apartments and small houses are selling. The bigger properties are not selling especially any with a gite' or bed and breakfast. There are still some bargains at the mo, one 3 storey only €9k but all the fees must be paid which is a ? Her husband project manages work on homes but he is inundated with work. The English over there are finding it hard to find people to do the work, apparently the French turn up and put very high prices on the work. He says he used to buy a lot of materials over here and take it back as it was that much cheaper but now they are about the same prices with the UK rising fast. The son is just 15 and he's started work as a trainee electrician , 2 weeks on then 2 weeks school and only 5 weeks holiday all year. Does seem strange to me but would be a better system than what we got seeing kids coming out of school at 2.30 Off for a nap now , hope you found my little snippet of some interest, if not oh well never mind.

I see BP just been given the green light to start their Alligin field in the North Sea targeting 20m barrels of reserves , they are hoping to produce 12,000 bopd. Their other field with Shell has just had a multi million round redevelopment targeting 450m of reserves and hoping to produce 120,000. The reserves are similar to the SWP these bopd targets would be mind blowing to CERP finances. Ah we have multiple targets 12-14 were mentioned Come on Leo go faster :)))))))))))

Hi Tom Thanks I'm hoping that old farmers still there . He sells brandy wow was good. A 4 storey mansion and they live in the cellar. We stayed B&B on the first floor cobwebs, creaky floor boards, sitting room in darkness, great big stairs ,still straight out of the 1930. Bit like that Russel Crow film. Hi Joebop It's unlike you to be negative. I must admit at first I was not happy with the placing but the SWP is coming sooner after this placing and the profits will be enormous and the big guys are close. The placing price is going to be insignificant at this price. Keep smiling all the best :))

Hi offerman, capital The big draw for Goudron is the high api oil in the high 30's not like the SWP/Suriname where it is only mid 20's. Pity Goudron is an IPSC as we don't seem to benefit from it. The light api oil is indicating that it is coming from another source lower down. I wonder if the survey has picked that up. Predator have got access to 2 wells but I believe they can buy the whole field

Hi Jim From memory I thought Leo said H2 for 1st drill in the SWP cos I was thinking that's in the rainy season. At least with this super rig they have, it won't be as cumbersome as the one LGO used

Hi offerman Well done good post. It's going to take a bit of time though to build up momentum in barrels per day to fund M&A if project Green is revealed where will the funding come from. The dilution road probably wouldn't be enough. A big farm out of the SWP may be one answer. I would prefer though to keep the SWP for ourselves (being greedy) the profits will be enormous Happy days #dreamsintheCaribbean :))))))

Hi Nige Not sure about the market getting it wrong, in my opinion they are just following the safer money ie bonds, gold, oil. With builders being classed by the market as high risk that stops 2/3rd of funds with low and medium risk clients from investing in them. High divis will not effect their decisions, the special divis are keeping the high risk status I know I keep on but quarterly divis would spread the risk and reduce volatility therefore reduce the risk. But what do I know :))))))

Hi mem I have given some thought to the prospects, exciting times getting closer. Bigmj's 50p would be a fantastic target to reach and achievable with Leo in charge . I think your figure would be a dream come true but possibly only with a future sell but who knows (well Leo might);))

Well this past week has seen the last of my trading pot here sold along with my Bdev shares and put my last buy into Sound (sou). I''ve made a loss of about 20p with Tw and a little profit in bdev and i've already made 4p in sou. Report's coming back from the Moroccan shareholder trip is very encouraging especially crudehopes reports made entertaining reading. My plan is if they are sold before the next special x divi here in tw I shall be buying back heavily but that is only guess work. My main holding is staying put for now where else can you find an investment paying anything like this one. Have a good day sun is shining:))
