Good post Peters this merger will take time to show any benefits and the short time it's been going on the increases in production are already happening. The enlarged group will enable the firm to pick and choose the best opportunities to increase production. I'm quite happy to see Goudron take a back seat and let the water pilots build the pressures up for the inevitable increase in production. From what I read in the RNS the pace is starting to quicken and I'm looking forward to a furious 2019. ATB :))

Why am I still invested in Tw. I was thinking of swapping my Tw into Bp or HSBC so comparing the divis. 1,000 shares in Tw would give me about £190 annually as of this year. The same value in HSBC shares pays £100, and Bp would pay about £120. BDEV works out about £145 I cannot comprehend how the financial industry is not piling in. So to sum up I intend holding I'm not buying anymore as my holding is about 20% of my portfolio and after 2007 I think that is my limit

Hi Rio In my opinion the volatility in this sector is caused by the special divi, making them high risk so investment funds won't invest. Increasing the normal divis and introducing quarterly divi would give a steady income stream and make them more attractive. Only my thoughts but I wish the volatility would go away

My hopes for this week is to see Tw start a slow rise as per last years chart , it's about 20p lower this year so early Jan I'm hoping for £1.90 but lots of things can alter that. Other things happening this week Bdev x divi how high will sp get, nervous time , glad I sold mine. Marstons update due, brewing sector similar to the housing sector ie out of favour Sound energy due to spud/start drilling in Morocco could be massive find but every well ever drilled has had no more than 40% chance of success GGP due to announce their results of drilling in Oz CERP investor presentation on Wed I'm hoping Leo Koot waves his magic . Hi Motbuck Very good results , looks like more acquisitions coming. I'm hoping for divi increase. I've gone from Bdev and decided to keep out of sterling stocks and been buying BP paying 8p+ every quarter as they earn in dollars

Hi Tom Tw just not interested in that market. You have to look at Mears, Morgan-Sindall, Gleeson and best one in my opinion is Gallifords. Whatever happens with the cap/council's will have no effect on what Tw or other house builders do. I'm trying to find info on Inland Homes a friend told me to have a look, not sure if I got name right. Can't get over HSBC paying another divi next month that's 3 in 4 months luvly jubbly :))

Hi Motbuck Must be a good update today with the sp rising by 25p I sold out of Bdev last week it's been a disappointing rise to the x divi. ATB :))

Can't believe removing the cap on councils borrowing for houses will have any effect on the market. Most councils have hived off their housing stock to housing associations , the ones that haven't will borrow just to keep up with repairs not build more. I can't see it making any difference to Tw market. This is another thing that May is out of touch with.

Hi Tom Well it not all doom and gloom today I have a little share called Pennant based in Cheltenham, had them years. They make training devices for pilots among other things. Bought around 13p never sold any now £1.50 ish they used to pay a divi hope the big rise this week means they going to start again :))

Hi Tom Sp not too good with x divi on Thursday doesn't bode well for Bdev either with that x divi next week . Oh well back to the garden

Hi troubles Always interested in scientific ideas. Use to watch Tomorrow's World every week and one invention has stayed In my mind "a spray on solar cells" they promoted it by saying you could spray it on tiles,bricks, glass never heard of it since. Even that would have needed a state of the art battery. I keep looking at Nano, I'm interested but not to invest at mo. My Sou pot is getting bigger ATB:))

Hi Scully Off topic The rise was too late for us on here well done. In my opinion oil is for today, gas for the next few years, lithium for the next 10 years but hydrogen is the future (ITM power), the holy grail is a battery that can store enormous amount of energy but on a miniscule scale ( Ilika see today's RNS, I have been invested looking to get back in). Hi Scully I've seen Clon rising prefer Sou. I got a few lithium plays not one promised yet. Also had got burned by Afren in Ghana oil so I keeping away from that one. Good luck with it and sell on the spikes .ATB :))

Hi Nige Leaving it a bit tight in my opinion. The housing sector seems to be in a negative period from the finance experts, even though the numbers suggest otherwise I'm more concerned with what happens to the Tw sp than the others as I'm holding. I hope I'm totally wrong and you have some good luck The trade war issue has come at a bad time for the UK with the Brexit issue bit of a double whammy. Nervous times both here and with my other share Sou who are near to start drilling ,will know by Xmas which way it turns out, I'm confident of success but all fingers and legs crosse All the best :))

Increasing stamp duty on houses never works. Scotland found that out when they upped the duty on £1m+ houses sells plummeted and Osbournes changes brought in less tax. When will they learn:((

Hi Tom On a blue day it's surprising Tw gone lower with x divi coming up on Thursday. Glad I sold my Barrett shares don't look like a surge is going to happen but I could be wrong, did come out with a little profit. Atb :))

Hi Tom It is a great idea, I know they have installed prototypes in care homes at the mo. They gave a contract to Malvern boilers to make them. I know money issues are slowing it down. Can't believe Worcester boilers not taken them out yet just for the patent. Still think it a good idea for a major builder to get involved Have a great day in the sun , it very warm here just right for the autumn show and traffic jams which are unusual round here:))
