Hi Baz I have to agree with hopsta on the shareprophet site, they have always seemed to be on the opposite side of my investments and research . I wouldn't subscribe to it. I normally research the leaders of companies Peter Redfern is one of those he's done a great job with Tw saving both Taylor's and Wimps and the pension funds. James Parsons of Sound is tremendous, very share investor orientated. At the Gherkin and Shard presentations he met all investors coming out of the lift. I've done hours upon hours studying the geology of their licence in Morocco it's a huge find . I'm in no doubt a liquidity event will happen next year , it's just how much. JP stated a four figure price that's a 25 bagger but probably won't get that :))

Hi Nige To my mind no-one building houses is worth over £100m a year no matter what the performance of the company especially at the expense of its customers. Designs for new houses to me in general are the poorest in a generation. You could be anywhere in the country and see the same designs, there is no local distinctiveness. My grandkids draw better designed houses than all the builders are producing at the moment. Bwy in particular are poor and crammed in. I'm not anti building I just crave for more quality products. I believe I can make better profits elsewhere at the moment such as predator oil in 4-5 weeks 1.5p to 9.4p, the only builder to have big gains at the present time is GFRD £5.70(rights issue) to £11 My hopes and dreams are with Sound energy 10-20 bagger who knows might fail but I doubt it. So I'm still happy to hold here but I'm expecting my profits to come from outside the builders. And I'm still smiling All the best :))

Hi Nige I'm sticking with Tw for the moment. I know them, my pension is with them. GFRD is the only other one I stay with I don't just invest for the divis there are other reasons why I don't like investing in other house builders PSN bonus payments are in my mind immoral BWY design quality is very poor Bdev I shall be selling before end Sept I'm more interested at the moment moving funds into Sou far more exciting, there are webcams for their 2 drill sites on the web site, 233 artic loads to set a rig up. I'm expecting a bidding war Good luck with your plans

In my opinion the Tw share price drop happened because the markets do not like special divis.
Investors/traders sold out before the x divi date and reinvested into Barrett for their special divi, it's the same pattern as last year but at a slightly lower level
There will be a big sell off from Bdev before x divi date and then Tw will start to rise
Last year Tw price hit a year high after Xmas while Bdev started it's huge drop

It's all too traumatic for me I prefer to have steady high dividends and not having to worry about the share price, that's for my AIM shares.
I have a few in Bdev but will be selling before the end Sept way before the x divi date I don't want to be trapped in here till next June

Hi Tom My average is too hard to work out but is way low, sorry to hear yours is high. As some consolation Taylor woodrow bought my Bryant shares for £2.04, the share price just can't stay above that figure. It was a cash plus shares , I can remember quietly saying to myself YIPPEE :)))))))))))

There are still pubs closing by me in Worcestershire but this made me stop and think. An admiral pub boarded up with a sign outside"you can lease this pub with our low start up rental scheme with low ingoings" No wonder it's boarded up. Hi Gaspunter if they get rid of the small pubs as you suggest they would lose some star places like the Mug House, Worcester, the crooked house, Himley, west midlands, the tilted house Tipton Gems in my opinion, put a glass down on the table in the Brooke house and it slides up hill :))

Hi Nige Difficult times to have a system that won't keep changing. St Ledger day today so hope things will settle down a bit(my friend told me to bet on a horse called Kew Gardens but I know nothing about horses). Regarding Bdev I'm still selling before x divi date, I'm not looking to achieve the max price either. Definitely don't want to be stuck in there until next June. The share price doesn't look as though it knows which way to go,I'd be happy with 5.90. Galliford has been a much better bet for me even with their problems on the Aberdeen bypass, I can see loads more value in them than the other builders. I have bought as high as £13 but the rights issue at 5.70ish has given me a big profit now £11ish . Brokers are saying £15 but doubt that probably back to 13 more like. Still holding here what other share at 1.70 is paying over 18p and rising. NAHL were but that's gone down to 15.3 for £1.15. Good luck with your system. ATB:))

This is a deep discussion today , whatever happens we're up the swanny without a paddle. Trade deals who are we supposed to do that with, oh yes everyone that can walk over us. Anyway Remainers and leavers will never agree. I would say 80% of my local pubs regulars voted to come out, more than half of those wish that vote hadn't taken place and unfortunately some leavers are no longer with us.they voted mainly on the migrant issue not trade. What galls me more than anything this is all down to the Right wing whim of the conservatives and the lack of action by the EU on immigration. What a mess, the world are looking at us and laughing

Hi Dc I never use stop losses. In a position where the mm need shares, they can see the prices on stop losses and spike the price downwards take out the stop losses and raise the price back to where it was, seen it loads of times. Hi Nige Bdev went down over 30% after x divi last year with less downward pressure, to me Dc's 40p lower might be a bit light. I don't intend to be in it by then which ever way it goes Best of luck :))

I came across Predator a few weeks ago when CERP took over a license they are operator on 1.5p to 7.8p fantastic rise. I took some profits to keep topping up here I've never sold any here since buying in the 4p rights issue. Happy days :))

I was listening to the ceo of Predator oil yesterday on directors talk. Near the end he named Sound as an example of a massive find. The industry knows what we have :))

How far is Kambalda away from GGP licenses where RNC minerals found a 95kg nugget the biggest ever found. Let's hope GGP find one bigger :))

Looks like Gallifords dragging Tw above the 1.70 level. Nearly doubled their rights issue price whopping divis, no specials good news :))

Let's hope the share price can hold above the £10 level, it's nearly double the rights issue price. With a heavy dividend due it can only get better :))

Hi all Great debate today. Must excuse me tonight been to green dragon in Malvern for 70th birthday do had a lot of wind I mean wine, wonderful night. I can't for life of me remember Taylor's getting past 5.32. In march 2007 I was in Kenilworth building a block of shops and flats and one day I took my certificates to take to the hsbc dealing office in Leamington nearby to sell all it the £5 figure, I got way laid and didn't make it :(( they definitely didn't get to 7. I'm sure the merger hadn't occurred at that time. Has Google merged the share price into one instead of 2 companies I'm looking at another 40k otherwise :(( My share history on capita will tell me I've never seen 7. I worked for Wimpys in 1973 on the high speed train shed in Bristol, not a good experience so was never interested in them afterwards. I think wimpy must have got to 7. Jak. they both had big subsidiaries in America and earned 50% of their profits from there and it disappeared overnight. I can't remember when the merger happened but was after April 2007. If it did get to 7 sorry for arguing but I should be in the south of France on my yacht :(( hic Ps Marstons one of the only risers about b.....y time
