North Korean Mick, just because government agencies have given Kromek money DOES NOT mean it’s all guaranteed to work. Just because an nhs lab is looking at the results does NOT guarantee they will give it a flying colours accreditation. I’d get back to weighing your bolts and measuring the power of a motor.

Skid35, you’ve definitely got valid points to be annoyed with Kromek. It is a company that has not been run well. The ST bounce was definitely not great this time, however I’d point out that his write up wasn’t in the print edition last week. His article will be in the print edition out Friday, so we might see some extra buying then. I just can’t see how - if these detectors work - that the profits and share price won’t surge to well beyond double today’s valuation. I certainly won’t be a long term holder here as I don’t trust management, given their history. But I do think this is a very good short term buy, with limited downside and huge upside

Mike33, I think there’s a better than 50:50 chance this machine will work. However I say it’s definitely not guaranteed as you seem to believe. I’m not a scientist, but I do read what scientists say of trying to build such a machine. I recall one article where a leading scientist in the field said it was trying to look for a needle in a haystack trying to find covid particles - that there is so much that needs to be filtered out, and then the covid particles that are left - some may be old inactive ones.
Your comment about DARPA giving a 3rd round of grants as evidence that it works, is neither 100% proof the device works. DARPA are absolutely desperate for a machine that does the job Kromek are working on. Just because DARPA have spent a few million in a few stages doesn’t guarantee anything. It’s another good indication the machine works but not a guarantee by any means. If the market knew the machine clearly works, or I for that matter, the share price wouldn’t be at 16p. Mick33, you’re a bit like some North Korean minder when it comes to Kromek. Anything slightly negative that is said about ‘our dear leaders’ at Kromek is attacked. What’s your interest here?

As a relative newcomer to Kromek I see everyone focused on the CEOs mistakes of the past - the China order fiasco, ventilator orders not materialising, CEO being a boffin not a go getter.

But Kromeks future is going to be all about this binary result of the bio pathogen detector. It will work. Or it won’t work.

If it works. Kromek are going to have an army of customers beating on their door, following the global media attention. None of the past will matter one bit at that point. They have to make and sell 96 units a week with the help of their manufacturing partner the CEO speaks of, to make an eye watering £25m annual profit. Can you imagine any new investors after the result being put off by a few past errors? In the words of Simon Thompson (who says expect good news in the coming months) this is going to go “well beyond 28p”. I’ve upped my holding in Kromek to 10% of my portfolio. This is a fantastic opportunity. Some long term holders can’t see the wood for the trees on this one

I don’t think skid35 really is out... Would be a bit like skidding out on the last lap of a Grand Prix, just before taking the podium. A smart long term holder surely hasn’t left the party at the most interesting time??!

Until the results of the bio pathogen detector are out it’s all speculation. A little up, a little down - who cares. The scientific result of the trial will make all these ups and downs irrelevant - if the results are positive. Kromeks share price will surge “well beyond 28p” - Simon Thompson. If they are negative Kromek will just carry on plodding along with their other products - nothing lost - the bio pathogen detector isn’t priced into the share price and government grants funded it. Perhaps the share price goes down a little on the disappointment. I’d say speculative bets don’t get much better than this.

If the Kromek scientists manage to get positive results from the third party who are accrediting them (an NHS lab I believe) regarding the machine. As looks likely, given the Kromeks scientific successes of the past, and the CEOs comments.
Anybody who thinks this news won’t get worldwide attention and thinks that subsequent to that they will struggle to sell the 96machines a week, which will generate £25m profit (Paul Hill), is off their rocker in my opinion. Forget the managements record. Look at the scientists record.

Nobody knows how wise or unwise skid35 was until the scientific results of the bio pathogen detector are out. I don’t know why anybody would sell now when the results to this game changing machine for Kromek are about to be released. Especially since none of the future revenues (which will eclipse the rest of Kromeks business) are priced into the share price. Crazy time to sell for a long term holder. I’m a newbee (3monthsish holder here). I see strong potential here. A lot of people posting about poor management decisions. However this is a scientific result we are waiting for here of huge importance not just for Kromek.
