What counts is what was told to the analysts early this morning ! It is completely wrong that analysts should have preferential treatment to ordinary shareholders ! Sadly that is the way that it is ! Nevertheless, the sp seems to have held up quite well, despite all the news today ! Apparently Mr Corbyn walked out of talks, cos Chuka was present ! Says it all, if it is true ! I think the best thing to do is to go for No deal Brexit and then the Executive will be back in control to negotiate deals with whomever ! The DUP and EIRE might be disappointed at the result ! That's the trouble about being greedy ! Nevertheless I am saddened that we are leaving the EU !

It seems to me that the worst news has now passed us bye ! IQE was unfortunate in the reduction of orders fuelled by the Apple scenario , combined with the tragic death of the Financial Director ! All that is now behind us ! There seems to be buying by Oppenheimer , one of the main shareholders in recent weeks , so at last a firm support for the share price ! If the reporting on the twentieth of March is positive then there will be a real lift in the share price in my humble opinion . A buying opportunity for the brave perhaps !

I am beginning to think that I was wrong about the Macro effect of Brexit ! Much to the disappointment of She Who Must be Obeyed , the local Mini showroom is being closed ! Get it ? While Rome burns ........... !

I suspect that many of the Institutions that bought at 140p sold out at 170 p or more ! A quick , nice profit ! As for a buyer, it could be any company that sees an advantage in owning a small technology company , with patents , that is at the forefront of its field ; and that has future exponential growth coming ! It does not ,necessarily , need to be a company that is a next in line along the feeding chain ! Having once owned an old Moto flip flop phone , which I absolutely loved , I am intrigued to read about the new foldable phones that are coming out shortly ! Samsung Galaxy X would seem to be the first .

I have to say TL that there has been plenty of information for shareholders , if you know where to look ! The trouble is that market sentiment is against the company ! You might be right that a takeover could be the best bet for shareholders ! Maybe not for the company , though ! The main private shareholders have now one foot in the grave , so an offer is in my opinion a distinctly possible scenario ! With a big bounce for the pound, if there is a semblance of a Brexit deal , now would be the time for a predator to pounce !

The poor old PM ! Sent back to Brussels by the nutters in the Conservative party to get a deal ! She has returned to the British Empire with her tail between her legs ! Wasn’t it David Davies the lead politician in the Brexit dealings, who thought we could do a trade deal with each European country? You just have to put your head in your hands in despair ! Well , as expected Maggie May liost the vote - handsomely ! I try not to speak politics to She who must be obeyed, because days pass without subsequent conversation ! Apparently I am a fascist ! Liberals heh ! This is the trouble with Btexit ! It has divided the Nation in the same way that Eire was divided between families as to whether or not there should be a Republic state ! Not many people realise this ! There was vicious violence and brothers would pass one another in the streets without a bye your leave ! Thank you very much politicians ! You are a credit to your Nation State !

So , apparently tomorrow is seen as the most significant day in politics , in this country , since the end of the Second World War ! Another war that was supposed to end all wars ! A war that most of our fathers and some of our mothers fought in, “ to save freedom “ . We fought to save Poland from Nazi tyranny! The Polish have been always grateful .They volunteered to fight in the RAF during the War , with distinction . As members of the European Union we welcomed them to this country to make up the labour shortage . I am told that the labour force is both diligent and hard working . Yet now we dismiss them as unwanted baggage ! The Nation worked hard to become part of the European venture despite all the political nonsense that has occurred over the years ! Peace in Europe , is, in my view, the prize that Brexit puts at risk !

No point speeding up the boarding if the planes cannot take off ! Life was a lot easier forty years ago ! No calculators , computers , faxes or mobile phones in the office ! The photocopier took up a whole room ! If you wanted to deal with a bank manager you walked down the road and spoke to each other ! Things actually worked better then than now, in my opinion ! And we didn’t have intimidating thugs roaming the streets outside Parliament ! Where’s the Tardis ?

I have been ambivalent about the economics of Brexit as will be seen from past posts ! However , it is clear that the politics are dividing the nation, as can be seen with the thugs accousting Anna Soubry today ! Why were they not arrested and charged with behaviour likely to cause a breach of the peace ? I suppose it’s not too late in the light of the video evidence ? Or is she just a stupid woman that deserves it ? Shocking ! If all this carries on, then the Macro for the stock market in the U.K. does not look good!

I don't suppose IQE are involved directly in this . Qualcomm are a US company . IQE possibly supply both Qualcomm and Apple, either directly or indirectly, so the effect on IQE should be neutral, shouldn't it ? Anyhow , time to switch off for a while and enjoy the Christmas spirit ! Fortified this year, by a white golden retriever puppy from Cardiff - still with his Mum at the moment ! Sadly, the old timer passed on, last Spring ! The best things in life are free , or at least fairly cheap ! We all need to remember this !

Have to say that I was relieved today to listen to Maggie May ! I thought she was a tour de force in the way that she presented her argument to the Commons ! A comprehensive speech from a comprehensive educated girl ! Unlike Mr Corbyn ! Haberdashers grammar school , if I remember correctly ! I expect secretly he gets along very well with Boris et al ! How many of the comrades realise this?

Apparently Warren Buffett has increased his holding in Apple, fairly substantially , following the Drop ! He might be correct ! Who would have the temerity to challenge him ! I , just a small fly here , sold out today . I went back to my first posts and realised that exuberance had taken over the psyche ! Why do we want FACE ID rather than TOUCH ID ? There is something about haptics ! As Tesco says - why pay more ? Maybe , it is down to augmented reality! Trouble is , that may be a while away , like the self driving cars ; although I gather the target date for the latter is only 3 years away, for a major manufacturer ! So , I suspect that the shorters will be at large for a while yet ! The risk in staying out , Is a takeover ! A real Conundrum !
