Prudential Share Price (PRU)

My 11/6/26 comment and Japanese spinning top forecast high of 1073 rapidly heading to fruition.

The short term bearish trendline from May 2026, enables a current week trendline value of 1055.25, which could provide some resistance.

The close is above the 20 period moving average on daily, weekly and quarterly charts, which should provide support to the equity. In addition the sp is now above the Parabolic SAR used for trailing stop values, on all described timescales, which is bullish.

The sector chart shows a 9-10 week sideways consolidation, which involved a bullish double bottom pattern, and the sector price is currently above the 9-10 week consolidation high which is bullish for equities within the sector, including PRU.

The sp is heading into overhead supply from trading at higher price levels, which is expected to result in some selling and slower upward movement, and perhaps consolidation. DYOR.

Yes geopolitical factors at play but Trump has trampled world order. USA is nobody’s friend. China is no standard bearer for democracy and human rights but Europe is looking east not west, even Japan is improving relations with Beijing.

To quote a previous post, ‘shares go down, shares go back up again’. It is frustrating that the share price has performed to disappointingly of late, IMO Pru has sound strategy and is delivering; I think Pru’s recent results speak for themselves.

The problem with this stock for me is its dependence on East/West relations. Every indicator from the the West's boss nation, the USA, suggests that tensions will remain or more likely rise. This may be good for price volatility if you trade, but as long term investment it is risky. Its yield also remains unattractive.

I can remember when it hived off MNG the experts got it dead wrong and MNG has consistently outperformed its larger rival. Every while I look at Pru to see if anything has changed for the better, so far it hasn't.
