Pinewood Technologies Group Share Price (PINE)

Software tech type shares seem to be on a charge today. This, You-gov, Kainos Group, Celebrus Tech; all seem to be up around 5 to 8%.

News anybody

My take on it is that there are many momentum chasing quant funds that have done quite well in the market regime of the last few years. They pile onto stocks that have fallen recently and have other negative signals according to their models. The global software sector is also seen somewhat as an AI victim, which I suspect add fuel to their bet.

In this case I do suspect they’ll have their ass handed to them.

I am looking to invest here. It seems a good business, with a potential moat and expansion possibilities in the US. It seems a recent bid fell through but surely the SP reflects this already. Why are there so many shorts here and why have they increased recently? Can anyone help? Many thanks.

Terrible day. No strength in the shares currently. I appreciate market jitters, but very few buyers.

Whilst one day this share will have its value recognised, sadly, in the absence of a bid, this share is currently unloved. I will be selling a large amount of my substantial holding, as soon as there is a reasonable uptick.
