City Of London Investment Share Price (CTY)

Hi Robleo, not new as you say, bought first shares about 40 years ago but just a moderate investor ,no time to do much dealing like some.

Never bought a gilt though, I remember my granny had a small amount.

I was just curious as you hear about them now and again and also I have a fixed rate bond maturing next month but I probably have too much in building societies. I don't see many bargains either . I recently bought a small amount of Temple Bar IT for a change.

Hello Aangus1, no i have never used gilts, i have a selection of high yielding dividend shares and investment trusts, also a selection of funds for growth, most of which i have held for a while, i don't see many bargains around at the moment though as the entry price is quite high on most of them,are you new to investing or have you been doing it for a while

Robleo, do you ever buy UK gilts to get a fixed income or just stick to stock market based investments for a bit of growth as well hopefully ?

570 today, very nice, am holding this for the long term pension pot as a bit of diversification, hope it can keep on going to 600
