Lejjb, you seem to have got the wrong end of the stick. I don't happen to agree with Michael Liebreich and I'd be surprised if there are any ITM shareholders who share his views.
While I'm on the subject of correcting things - where did you pick up the idea that..."Because hydrogen has been demonstrated to be a highly effective fuel, more so that pure electricity, particularly for applications involving motors". If you are implying that combustion of hydrogen in an engine, or being recombined through a fuel cell to power an electric motor, is more efficient than simply using the primary electricity in the first place to drive an electric motor, then you're way off track. It's one of the reasons why the anti-hydrogen team is currently winning this argument due to the direct use of electricity being so much more efficient. It is important for electrolysis supporters to concentrate their direction on use cases where the actual hydrogen molecule is the desireable commodity, not byproducts like electricity generation. There are plenty of hydrogen molecule requirements out there (chemical industry, fertiliser, steel, cement) to easily soak up renewable electricity through electrolysis for several years of expansion. Motors is a niche application for those who can't/won't use electricity directly.
