Quady is making sense for a change.
I think a JV maybe a bit much but it's another brick in the wall to make and sell the package to "whoever"
I think this could be the final tree shake to the bottom.
Jezzoo Quady always makes sense.
Ask yourself why the we are going to be sold mob, have said anything of substance over the last decade.
Semaica know, I repeat know that we are going to production.
Short doing well so far, looking to close low 5's maybe even high 4's
Q, I know you're very particular about listening to what the company says - and I agree with you- but how do you square your belief with SC's comment a while back that we are not producers?
I listened to what he said addicknt.
The fact we are not producers, means that we require that expertise.
Either through a project manager with civil engineering contracts and support or through buying the expertise in maybe joint venture with someone with the knowledge.
Good spin! My guess is you're the only person who interpreted it that way.
Now that we know that the strategy changed fundamentally when DC was unceremoniously dumped, surely that tells you all you need to know? It was laid out in plain English in DC's court submission. We know Mather wants out, we know our Canadian masters want out, are you of the view they've changed their minds?
Well it's certainly showing signs of activity. 3.6m traded in first hour.
Now blatantly evident that this is in play and quite shocking to see the open attacks on the share price.
Someone's really keen on this which bodes well. I'd be more worried if we were at 6p levels and doing 300k traded per day. That would be a major concern.
Looking good here no matter how they try to dent sentiment through sp games. It's looking good asset and Ecuador wise.
Addicknt that's ungenerous it's not spin.
Ask yourself a question.
What would give Semaiac the necessary confidence to construct.
It wouldn't be a sale of Cascabel, that could fail.
It has to be that Solgold has a plan to Advance Cascabel to becoming revenue earning.
Nothing else would do.
It was bought up to 6.55 in the first 15 minutes and then a blizzard of AT trades drove it down to 5.83 in just 15 seconds...then further to 5.68 in the following 4 minutes...you can't tell me this isn't being held/driven down...
Q, you ask what would give Semaiac the confidence to construct and the answer's obvious. Ownership of the asset by a mining major with deep pockets, not a small exploration firm with six full time employees.
Incidentally, you've never been able to offer an explanation of DC's court submission. It was laid out in black and white and was totally unequivocal. Surely that must make you think twice?
Addicknt you make my point, when you say ownership by a major mining company with deep pockets.
But that's not the situation.
We are not owned by a major mining company with deep pockets.
My earlier point was about confidence.
Semaiac would not undertake this project on the promise of a sale as this could fall through.
This is the strongest statement so far that we are going to production.
Q, their confidence is based upon the understanding that by the time it comes to construction they'll be working with either the Chinese or a mining major.
What about DC's statements? Any thoughts?
Addicknt DC's statement is not relevant.
He is embroiled in a court case.
You are snatching at straw's here.
You however have not answered the question.
Semaiac would not spend this upfront without understanding who is going to build this
They would not take the chance that someone else would own it and gamble on timelines and costs
That's ridiculous.
They are doing this because undertakings have been given by Solgold, so that Semaiac can do this and make money.
Why would anyone have confidence in SOLG building Cascabel? They've openly stated they're not mine builders, they've effectively shut down ~90% of the company's operations, they've sacked most of their workforce, and the former CEO has submitted court documents stating that all of the current BoD are pursuing a sale.
Today's RNS is a great step towards turning Cascabel into an asset that a serious buyer can purchase and develop.
Q, so the bloke lied in a court submission? His statement is directly relevant, the fact you don't wish to believe it is more a question of you clutching at straws, not me.
By the way, if I'm right we have settled his claim for circa £2m and I'm not sure we'd have done that if he was telling porkies.
The one thing we do agree upon is that Cascabel is going into production...but we won't own it.
Your missing the point SharketMare.
If this was going to be built by anyone else.
Then that would have to be announced first.
The agreement is between Semaica and Solgold.
Hence it's Solgold going forward.
Semaiac would never announce this on what maybe.
It has been given solid assurance's.
"The agreement is between Semaica and Solgold.
Hence it's Solgold going forward."
This is just not true. Just as the agreements we've signed with Franco and Osisko aren't dependent on us being the company to actually build the mine for those companies to see returns on their investments.
In typical fashion your head is firmly in the sand and you're ignoring the many facts listed below that run counter to your narrative.
Can I just say, it is Solgold that is going forward, it is Solgold who will build this mine, it will be Solgold riding high in Ecuador.
The only thing that will change is the ownership of the Company, the one that buys us out, they will keep the good name in my opinion.
Atb
Matters good call. Better times ahead..and soon!
Sharketmare your missing the point.
The agreement is between Solgold and Semaiac.
Hence they are committing to spend a lot of money.
They would only do this if Solgold can build this.
They would never commit to this on the rumour of a sale.
Bandit, your missing my point, I know Solgold won't spend a penny.
But this is going ahead on the understanding that Solgold will purchase power at a special rate, so in order to build, they must be confident that we can take a large slice of the 200MW.
Otherwise they wouldn't build it.
Do these things get built quite quick then? Like within a year or two? FFS , it means nothing , will take 10 years to build the thing.
Ate the plans in? Make that 15 years.
Covgaz it doesn't matter, it's a long term solution.
We currently have power, just we require a lot more.
