are we sure that the assets do exist?
There are going to be a lot of top quality British companies going for a song potentially, not just solg .
NM is hated by many in the industry for his arrogance.
They would love to see him die a poor man, and what better than to steal SOLG from him ( and us )
Besides, much more kudos to pay just a fraction for this huge asset. Can dine out for years on that story.
DC a shill, several key NM allies given the offer of an out before the hammer falls, the 40 billion asset picked up for pennies.
PIs are just insects to these sociopaths, who would enjoy burning ants with a magnifying glass when they were kids.
Agreed, the problem is you need cash...
Even though we are going through a difficult time it's worth remembering the entire marker is under stress too.
Ray's got it 100%, the big dogs will win in the end, it's just a matter of how and how much.
4.5 mill tip of the iceberg.
Who would want to finance SOLG with these rumours ?
The next RNS will be that the final accounts will have a delay in publishing due to 'irregularities' which are being investigated.
Cue SP collapse, suspension, etc..... Assets sold off on the 'cheap' . Just suffered a 15k loss on Petropavlovsk ( POG ) in exactly these circumstances.
Sorry worms....... that's the way business is done these days.
Fair enough Kat
Apparently they’re uploading the updated major shareholder list on Thursday so I guess we’ll see then
Ever hear of dark pools ?
Saw it happen with Gulf Keystone Petroleum.
Notifications 'lost' or 'delayed' by weeks / months.
Kozel and friends unloading before walking away.
Word.
Excellent Tesla so glad you disagree with me.
Just makes my position stronger.
Kat …. “Relentless selling” … lol
The big boys have this by the nuts, at the right time, with the right management in situ, with the right dwindling cash position. And you think they want to assist you with everything in their favour?
Sharket
They are a few on here who remind me of Ostriches.
They are in balls deep and don’t really have much choice but to believe the ramping BS posted daily on here.
Their investment strategy is if it is all going t!ts up pretend to buy a few more 100k tranches so to convince everyone ie themselves …..all is good.
For anyone to post the sp does not matter to an explorer in Ecuador is beyond delusional……
When they run out of cash do they honestly think a charity company is going to give them a £100m top up to keep trading.
Mather must be pooping his lead lined pants currently
Maybe not strong enough.
I can read a chart. Steady but relentless selling .
4.5 million fraud uncovered and admitted. Seems to have been swept under he carpet, though. Prepping the stage for the main news.
Two CFO senior financial officers jumped ship, along with other senior managers.
Sounds like a setup for those in the know to cut their losses before the bombshell.
I got burned by Afren a few years ago, so I know the score.
We all seem to disagree.
One thing I would hope we all agree on is that we will have a more accurate outlook by the end of the tear.
Let's just wait and see.
Nothing wrong whatsoever Shark.
What is it they say is bliss?
Everything's fine though Bozi, can't be anything wrong here as a FTSE250 insurer's share price fell by 20% recently too. Or something like that.
... If he wants to be public enemy number 1 Medar...
If he doesn't enjoy his job and doesn't want to lead the company going forwards.
may be he is targetting a raise at 10p!
Another 52w low today. Utterly fabulous.
Good luck to Darryl trying to raise funds on this valuation. As Tony Beets would say, it sucks to be him.
Fort - I don't know the full background story behind Oz but yes, I'd be inclined to say it was bad management.
Just because an offer came in at $25 that doesn't excuse what went before.
To use your supply and demand scale theory. What creates a lack of demand for a stock, thus dropping the price?
1. A weaker investment case
2. Poorer fundamentals
3. Adverse company news such as profit warnings, operational mishaps, financial sloppiness, etc
All of the above is directly controlled by management.
Now, we can also include the wider macro picture, but this one is an uncontrollable variable. However, management can take steps to position a business on a good footing should any downturn happen. It's called operational resilience.
Similarly, a lack of supply of stock is cause by increased demand and a lack of sellers. Why? Because all those variables I just mentioned are being well managed or are in a company's favour.
So yes, the share price is just a valuation tool for traders but it tells the story of the stock, as does the chart. To suggest it's meaningless until there's a corporate catalyst, is, well, not true.
SharketMare so DLG has fallen a third recently yet really well run company.
Sorry your post doesn't hold water.
There have been some real pearlers on here of late: "the share price doesn't matter".. "Ecuadorian politics is rock solid".. "management and its communication are totally fine".. "it's global events causing the share price to halve in 3 months and nothing to do with how the company is being managed".
The delusion here is deep amongst some of you. Perhaps I have been extremely fortunate, but over the last 18 months or so I have not been invested in any company that has been as poorly managed as SOLG. Certain posters on here are cherrypicking facts and clinging on to RNS to support a view that everything is fine and dandy and there isn't anything to worry about, totally ignoring the stream of bad news we have had to put up with (I'm bored of repeating them).
I'm afraid you are so far off the mark it's laughable. And for the "share price doesn't matter" contingent - if you truly believe this I hope it's only your own money you're responsible for investing. Utter loons.
that's a strong one kat2008.
Hi LunchMoney the drilling on hold was in a webinar cannot remember which one.
I believe DFS to be delivered by 2nd quarter next year.
Yes they have been quiet on the 20 tenements that we are trying to JV.
