I read Benchmark Minerals' well written paper on Sodium Ion batteries. They clearly make the point that Lithium and Sodium are complementary technologies. Since I first read about Sodium batteries I always thought they would clean up for static storage and for very cheap commuter cars. Now that Musk as promoted FSD in China, I think it's more likely Lithium goes to transport and storage, Sodium some storage.
No kidding. Some of us were here in African Mining & Exploration days …
Fingers crossed for all good news, but lets be honest its been a very long wait for quite a few of us. More twists and turns than a twisty turny thing.... Li mining was never insight when I first came here :-)
All in all, lots of good stuff to come, and relatively soon.
Various drill results were outlined from NOA and Reservatorio where drilling had been completed Dec 5 and Feb 26 respectively and there was to be further drilling at Pinheiro and Grandao. Maybe they decided to amalgamate all the results.
CRMA due to come to force tomorrow and Sefcovic stated that he wanted to get things implemented straightaway. Let’s see on that front but any pre launch discussions and outline agreements would hardly come as a shock.
Yes, 80% certain we'll get a RNS update on resource before the 8th May. With all the scandal disappearing into the ether likely rises until then.
Was hoping for an update on resources - 9 April RNS "The Company expects to publish the first of its new JORC Resource estimates, on the NOA orebody, later this month.".
Also I seem to recall them saying there should be more on partnership agreements by the end of April, but I can't find the reference to that at the moment.
EU funding confirmation incoming
That’s my hunch
Meanwhile PR is trying to make something out of this story;

Any idea that an alternative to the Li battery will be developed anytime soon for commercial purposes, meaning that MdB is not required is just pure fantasy. To think now 40-50 years after the Li-Ion battery was first invented it's still being improved and still has a long way to go on the affordability/recycling front.
It was weird that Costa gave up so easily even though it was mistaken identity and another Costa that was actually implicated. Why did he go so readily if he knew he'd done nothing wrong ? All very strange and doubt that the truth will ever be known. Even though this debacle and the local opposition seem to have subsided given the lack of anything happening at the recent weekend rally, SAV still not recovered ok to 5p region seen before all the nonsense began. Need the positive newsflow to get going.
It is now becoming clear that Operation Influencer is an investigative fiasco characterised by epic incompetence. Just a question of time before we see resignations from the attorney generals department and the public prosecution office. Looks more and more like political dirty tricks is at the heart of this.
Yep, all looks like a storm in a tea cup. Back to the 4p+ this week.
I think he is back buying more... some big accumulations of the last couple of days. Me thinks another positive rns is about to drop. Certainly hints have been made about news updates.
2-3 weeks ago there was to be a mass gathering of disparate groups descending on Boticas to beat a drum and dance around a maypole. Has anybody seen or heard any reports in the national press? Free handouts or Parish Mag? I realise that it might take a few days for it to percolate through the system, but you might have thought that whilst possibly not front page headlines, that there might be some sort of commentary might be available - who was represented, numbers, what was said or even a good time was had by all - but nada, nothing, zilch.
And then I see in Portugal Resident. https://www.portugalresident.com/climate-activists-occupy-ministry-of-environment/ And they want fossil fuels ended by 2030 - all well and good but both extremes of this argument need a pragmatic solution and some understanding.
Ramping again?
But you are right, lots of news in the pipeline with the tap about to be turned on.
Potentially game changing week coming up.......let's see
Maybe. Certainly running out of working days. How much notice are folks to be given? RNS post 4.30pm for the following morning?
Perhaps they are waiting for Monday. It is Earth Day after all. What could be more fitting :)
Still in here and managed to add quite a bit @2 so quite happy at the moment.

If SAV note this with interest, maybe we should as well.
Still no news on the NOA resource Jorc or the investor event as detailed in the annual report and set to be forthcoming before MayDay.
Get the popcorn in.
Our boss is fairly putting in the legwork in advertising the benefits of our project;

Headline a bit deceptive. 13% EV registration share v 13.9% last year, Hybrids up, Uk and France are up. Total mkt for all cars -10%. Early Easter. Diesel collapse even reader. New OEM rules coming in next year and reductions in grants may have.
Runs with a current ‘news’ narrative that anything regards EVs is bad
Telegraph article quotes some grim EV sales figures in EU for 1st qtr 2024. Hopefully SAV hook up with the right partners for spodumene supply if EV adoption is struggling, although surely even lower EV sales would still easily gobble up SAV's supply in EU market.

Operation Influencer on the right track. Today in the Portuguese newspapers.
