Akhtar234 - sorry what I meant was that 600p would be a fair sp on the market right now and we are nudging closer to that each day, not fair value for a takeover. I stand by my 700p as a realistic take over price, without some headroom to make profit why would they bother ?

Because any buyer has to take into account risk and leave enough headroom to make it worthwhile. Valuing the sum of the parts at 800+ and offering 700 is probably their limit.

These days I tend to just follow market trends, end of the day there are lot's of good companies sitting at ridiculously low valuations and vice versa, some real dogs that are very overpriced.

You could drive yourself mad trying to fathom out the reasons behind it.

Longer term doesn't really interest me, i'm only playing this game for a few more months then cashing everything in.

It's a good solid company run by grey men in grey suits, just about as low risk as it gets for an airline considering the assets.
