I agree that we’ll be calling driverless Ubers to get around in 10-20 years and that’s a good thing imo.
I appreciate not everyone can access batteries, solar heat pumps but I can double our battery storage and it would be paid off in less than 3 years at today’s prices. I’m hesitating because V2H/V2G could make those batteries an expensive option.
People who invested in solar 15 years ago, have made a small fortune based on their FIT payments, some are getting close to £1 per kWh.
In winter we use 4500 kWh a month.
Our annual cost to run 4 EVs and a 100 year old house, 2-3 times the average sized uk house, is £600. I expect that to be zero this year when our solar farm investment comes on stream.
