That may be the scenario where you live but it definitely is not where we live.
To get in to see a GP, where we live, is like pulling teeth out, they put so many obstacles in the way to get an appointment it’s ridiculous. When you do manage to get an appt it’s with a person who is in training and leaves the room to discuss the case with a qualified gp 🤷🏻♂️
However on the flip side my mother in law seems to be able to get an appointment with a specialist at the drop of a hat.
She had a scan last wee, results yesterday and getting a CT scan today.
Whereas, when my wife needed to see a consultant we had to go private and pay for an operation last year.
I suspect post code lotteries are at play.
