I'm surprised any of the long termers bothered to watch it.
I could have told you what would be said.
They have used the same script for the last 5 years.
It's like watching the wizard of oz at Xmas and wondering how it ends.
it is difficult to be confident that he is not doing stuff on behalf of BHP.
He looks like a rabbit in the headlights, no confidence whatsoever, not a leader imo..
Can anyone on this bb name a board member they believe has done a good job and should be voted back in at the upcoming AGM?
If so, could you give a simple explanation as to why you believe they deserve it?
Seconded Frankincense.
I suppose I see today's presentation as a bit of a wasted opportunity, whilst he couldn't have given away anything sensitive, I'm sure he could have done more than repeat the last couple of presentations, play the same corporate video. He seemed to lack confidence and more so enthusiasm. Whilst I'm sure the wheels are turning in the background I'm also grateful the market wasn't open today.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that the next couple of months are crucial here and if he wants the backing of investors at the next AGM he needs to deliver and quick.
It's one of it's crude ploys.
Divide and Conquer.
The fascists did that a lot apparently, not that I'm intimating anything of course.
Just for the record.
Her Majesty the Queen is at Windsor now, it's the last time we will ever see her.
We are witnessing British history today.
Looks like you were correct Ortherncopper.
They wouldn't want any awkward questions would they ?
He might as well have just sent a recording of his last presentation and saved the travel money… and they cut it before the questions
Just the same old, waste of time watching it...
found it
Can anyone point in the right direction online to watch the presentation please ?
Hi SharketMare, I bagged around 15 decent mackerel and I gave up counting the pollock. I must have thrown about 30 back (alive of course). I brought four decent pollock home, they're around the 5lb mark. I pass some on to the neighbours. I only go for a few hours until I've caught enough.
Good luck matey.
Copper - hope you bagged a few fish, nothing better than fresh mackerel grilled with olive oil, salt and lemon.
Dbw - thank you, I am about to play another 18 holes so will miss the presentation. Hope we get an answer.
I don’t think he will take questions Quady… EVERY industry person in the room already knows the Solgold story.. they have heard/seen our same presentations repeated at every mining event for the last 3-4 years… at this point, these presentations are a total waste of our time and funds, nothing but all expenses paid trips out for our board member..
If he takes questions, every single question would be regarding immediate funding, friction with our larger investors and PFS.. so I doubt he will take any..
Sadly, Ortherncopper you may be correct don't believe they will say anything about funding unless they are asked a question on the subject.
Something something first mover advantage,
Something something first cab off the rank,
Something something emerging copper giant,
Mumble mumble it’s all going great.. check out our new animation
Can somebody with access, please up-date us on what DC has said later at this form today, please? Gracias!
Frankincense - they sort of had a good few weeks of interviewing her and testing her aptitude to decide that before they offered a contract of employment.
Entirely possible someone else made a bum call but much more likely to be the other way round.
Isn't she suing her last employer for something regarding her employment ?
I'd have thought twice about employing her just for that regardless of gender.
A Leopard can't change it's spots as is apparent on this BB.
Bozi:
"Saridas' first job was to meet the big stakeholders and get to grips with the corporate environment and culture at SOLG. She clearly didn't like what she saw."
Got it in one.
What error can she have made? The budgets would have already been set out for her, payroll up and running, contracts for drills and third party work all paused as per the company policy.
Saridas' first job was to meet the big stakeholders and get to grips with the corporate environment and culture at SOLG. She clearly didn't like what she saw.
I think resign is exactly what Saridas did.
Her first month in the job would have been met with arguing and general stalemate between BHP and Newcrest and Mather.
Saridas likely said "I'll leave you children to run this business into the ground. Not on my watch."
And so here we are...
