Having listened to Paul Brink I see that Franco being on board is much bigger news than I first thought. Much bigger, in fact, than when Newcrest and BHP took a stake. The fact that the sp hasn't reacted in a positive way smells bad.
We are once again an exploration company so can look forward to the speculation section of the lasonde graph. with drills in more than one target, we might get a decent rise. I haven't had one of those for a few years now but the last one was really quite awesome.
Maybe the sp being held back is a good thing as CGP holders will not accept the offer. Solg would have to come up with a lot of shares for them to join the party over at solg towers and while the solg would hold a bigger asset, if they wait until push comes to shove, cgp will be cheap as chips by comparison.
