My message to those concerned15 Dec 2025 14:49
To all concerned
The RNS notifying shareholders of the offer from Jiangxi is definitely a step in the right direction after several years of poor management and infighting with Cornerstone and BHP.
Looking back to 2022 when Jiangxi became involved the price has plummeted and, it would appear, to have been held there by an unknown party.
It is only recently that the share price has recovered to begin to reflect the value of the immense resource that Solgold had discovered following the announcement of near surface, high grade deposits at Tandayama which could be developed to fund the mining of the block cave at Cascabel.
Dan Vujcic seemed to be a good replacement for Scott Caldwell who, despite being a lovely chap, was a poor choice of ceo with very little engagement or direction.
We have had several years in the wilderness that was described as a strategic review. Sadly no strategy was forthcoming and there was no conclusion to the review.
The recent share price movement smacks of news having been leaked to a privileged few investors.
The rest of us are left to guess what results are left outstanding and the nature of any other price sensitive progress. Warren Irwin has even admitted that "we know what is going on and you obviously do not".
I have been invested since 2008 and checked daily for news so I'm fairly sure I haven't missed too much that is on general release. Do other investors have a special channel to information?
He also blames Nick Mather for destroying relationships with key buyers. It seems very unlikely to me that BHP would accept such a low offer simply to spite Nick.
The revised offer values solg at £842m for a multi decade, multi prospect concern. It is very difficult to not take this derisory offer as a personal insult to all who have stood by the board during the ups and recent downs.
As you might understand, I do not support the board in even considering this offer and will do all I can to get support to stop the sale from going ahead.
One more thing. Organising the AGM to take place between Christmas and New Year and the timing of the confirmation of the binding offer on the 26th December is undoubtedly deliberate to confuse issues. So that's 2 but I think you get my point.
I look forward to hearing from you and news of progress through the CORRECT channels.
