Why would an investor here need to be "brave" (your word) if, in your very own words, we are never going to see 16p again? Even the brainless ramper is forgetting how confident he is supposed to be! I'd say 'you couldn't make it up' but that's literally all Red does, all day, every day. I honestly still think he believes he can influence the share price from this message board, like some kind of have-a-go redditt forum hero. Tool.
It's only my opinion as always Orthern, but I guess those 'in the know' are fully invested and those who haven't heard of us, or who have but have seen the SP fall steadily and languish, are unconvinced...they may well try to jump on the bandwagon when the SP catches fire...
We're still in the post Christmas/New Year hiatus and now that the merger is agreed, there would appear little to look for before it is complete in late January...
But we will surely get some sort of drill news sooner or later to keep the pot boiling...if only on Moran...
I still believe the CGP SOLG stake will be kept in Treasury, either as firepower to support the DGR/CGP 'inner core' wishes and would only be sold to a potential bidder at a tasty price well above 17p, or not at all...
I have observed over time that the SOLG SP is much more correlated with the Gold price than copper, which may well have helped substantiate its rise from 15.66 to 17.92 but sooner or later copper must have an impact, at the very least when the bidding war starts...
For now I congratulate those with the foresight to buy more at 16 or so in the last few days...you wont see that again.
I dont see press articles lighting a fire here because there have been too many false dawns...(biggest takeover story in town...October 2021...) but this time it's for real...a TR1 by a serious player, or the first bid (but then it may be too late)...
Until then no doubt Quady will have a field day as a naysayer, while not very subtly shifting from the 'certainty' of production to "I told you all along a takeover was a possibility"...
Ho hum from a very wet Haweswater, best wishes...
Entertaining last hour
He didn't say that Quady, he said "When the first bid or approach is announced, it may already be too late...especially if the shares get suspended 'pending an announcement'...
And it wont be the results of the strategic review..."
I think he mean't the announcement will be a bid not the outcome of the review.
Didn’t say it was non existent…. Said it was a smokescreen/irrelevant It’s not going to tell us anything we didn’t know and haven’t known for many years …. It’s obvious the board want to get this sold, the only questions that need answering are can they get it sold? and will we get a decent price?
Now stick to the facts and stop telling porkies there’s a good lad/lass ….. I happen to agree with Red that the SR may never see the light of day , if it does it’ll simply be to confirm we are for sale.
If you don’t agree that’s fine but when answering try and keep a civil tongue in your head, that means be polite by the way …
Orthern.......because so few are selling!
So along with DBW Redknight believes the strategic review is non existent.
What rubbish.
The company has announced a strategic review so that's what we are doing.
Red you could also ask, Why are so few buying?
Happy New Year all. Red are you in contact with someone on the insider at SG still or did that end when Ingo exited?
"So tell your friends, because this is a rare opportunity to make serious money depending on how brave they are"
Anything to give red an exit.
Why would anyone sell...?
This is still a relatively unknown share for most people, but IMO it will attract FOMO interest when the SP begins to motor...
So tell your friends, because this is a rare opportunity to make serious money depending on how brave they are...
When the first bid or approach is announced, it may already be too late...especially if the shares get suspended 'pending an announcement'...
And it wont be the results of the strategic review...
GLA
No trades for nearly an hour now
Lots and lots of mileage left in that one!
Well done copperpot
nice punt, Copper. Well done.
Uplands (UPL) indeed addicknt! They were at 0.45 four weeks ago when I suggested folk take a look!
So repetitive...
As I've mentioned before, the full details of the discussions are contained in CGP's Management Information circular.
Anyway, all that matters is that it's been done and we are now on our way to sunlit uplands ( before anyone accuses me of rampy nonsense, that was tongue-in-cheek)
Ok maybe though I do remember a tweet a while ago saying it had been “9 months in the making”
DBW, discussions with CGP started in June/July.
As you know, I agree with you on the rest.
The reason the RNS hasn't been issued is that the company is preparing another announcement which hasn't yet been finalised but is of great significance and must be read in conjunction with CGP's.
Add …. The way I see it is similar. The whole merger was conceived probably a year ago with the clear intention of joining forces in order to monetise everyone’s interests ….. and by default ours.
There is a clear intention to get this sold and at some point there will be a press release that will leave no room for doubt and any opportunity to speculate at these levels will be gone for good. Whilst I don’t enjoy the waiting I’m confident of the outcome.
Oh, I read it alright. Few questions
What’s the funding to be spent on which will add value, if we are not exploring?
How does the current price of copper impact us as the stuff is in the ground? Extraction costs are increasing across the board, and and bidder doing their own feasibility study will include this. Everyone here bangs on about copper prices, but ignores extraction costs.
Much of the squabbling issues with Cornerstone we have seemingly overcome was of our own making.
Yes, we are in a slightly better position, but let’s take off the rose tinted specs for a moment. SP is 17p with no buyer in sight, and no alternative plan.
ToS, that's one way to look at it. Alternatively, you could read Fort's post of 22:40.
DBW... completely agree. They really need to make future path clearer, as you say, put it in black and white, or the SP is going nowhere. At present, as far as the market is concerned, we are a junior explorer, with many licenses, none of which we are currently exploring, significant daily overheads, and a Tier 1 asset with no tangible plan to monetise it.
