Jesus now can you all be so bloody thick?
He’s not in a close period, he corrected himself quickly and said blackout period
Two totally different things. Can nobody pay attention at all?
Slug a closed period is a blackout period.
Firstly it’s close not closed
Secondly they’re not the same
Close periods are 30 days before interim and 60 days before annual accounts are published to market, directors cannot deal in a close period
He means insider information for example a senior employee or director gains access to significant information that would affect the share price is made public
I believe he’s tipping us the wink, not just by this comment but by some others too
Any idea that this is going to make it to production as solgold (at least under our ownership) is for the birds
Spot the difference.
The close period (or closed period) is the time between the completion of a listed company's financial results and the announcing of these results to the public. The close period is typically regarded as the one-month period preceding the release of a company's quarterly results, and the two-month period before the release of its annual results.
A blackout period in financial markets is a period of time when certain people—either executives, employees, or both—are prohibited from buying or selling shares in their company or making changes to their pension plan investments. With company stock, a blackout period usually comes before earnings announcements. For pensions, it comes at a time when major changes are being made.
For the conversation we are having they are the same thing.
Slog is up to his old tricks and spinning an argument on the head of a pin.
Note the word usually in your second paragraph. Now go and look at what market abuse regulations regarding insider information are
Then if you’ve got any juice left in your tiny little brain, try and figure out when our next results are due out and subtract 60 calendar days
…..and the discussion was going so well today.
Ten the insults start. Shame , the board was enjoyable till then. Different points of view discussed in an adult way.
He can’t admit he’s wrong, he just hurts insults around and then goes quiet when he’s had his pants taken down
Pathetic individual
Im not wrong! I’d admit it if I was, as I did about saying I couldn’t see 10p yesterday
How would you react if someone called you unintelligent and then threw every ist and if they could think of at you?
He needs help. Both in his understanding of investing and in his manner
The board was particularly enjoyable Thursday and Friday when he didn’t contribute
*ist and ic
*Wednesday and Thursday
It never contributes when the price is on the up 🤔
Slug , we know. Be the bigger adult. Everyone sees it , enjoy your weekend fella.
Quady , behave naughty step for you.
I’ve noticed that too DBW, but mention the climate scam and he’s all over it
Anyway it was an important point I was trying to make but he’s too thick to understand it. We’re not in a close period so if Caldwell cannot buy now and is in blackout, it has to be because of price sensitive information he is in receipt of
All will be revealed soon, this share has always been a leaky ship so something is afoot
'In addition to these costs, the Company will need to reach a restructuring solution for the group's existing liabilities which as of 15 March 2024 were ~US$418 million, comprised of US$241 million in senior debt, a US$27 million cost over-run facility ("COF"), US$68 million to trade creditors and US$82 million of convertible loan notes, and a restructuring solution for its existing royalties arrangements. Reaching a potential restructuring solution with existing creditors may increase the full funding requirements.'
This is from HZM. This is what happens when a company becomes indebted to various creditors rather than SOLG's approach to financing which was equity dilution and royalty agreements.
HZM is now 1.5p as its equity has been reduced to feck all due to its debt pile, the creditor takes all. SOLG doesn't have this indebted concern, this external and existential threat faced by HZM shareholders
Glad I don’t drink in the same pub as you.
You’d be the village bore in the corner is never wrong and everyone has to agree with you. You are not always right and ignorant on some subjects. Just like most of the population. I think it’s call a big ego!
Schlemiel, we have Mather to thank over the years for not being another HZM
Very different in the pub aquinaga, they can’t censor what we’re allowed to talk about (though they are, incredibly, trying to pass bills to do so)
Most people agree with me because I’m right and not afraid to talk about things others feel awkward about
Not a big ego at all
I’m definitely right about solgold too, it will be sold and sold for its gold
1984, STFU
Just for once.
Direct your ire where it should be directed, not at the bogeyman.
Try and behave as you would in real life and everybody will get along better.
The fact you write this:
“Most people agree with me because I’m right and not afraid to talk about things others feel awkward about”
Says it all. Ego the size of a bus!
Nice to hear from you BN.c
Hope you are well
No.
Jst give it a rest, you tool.
Unless it's 100% SOLG related.
You just can't help commenting on everything and it's boring as f*ck.
I can read your beloved Daily Mail or listen to GB News for your sh*te.
Whilst a blackout period is usually related to earnings, that can be exceptions such as special circumstances, which is the case with SOLG. So in this case I concur with 1984, it is 100% certain executives are in receipt of materially price sensitive information not in the public domain, so cannot trade. The said price sensitive information relates to various financial offers and will be released in the near future and will have a very positive impact on the SP, in my opinion.
