A brick manufacturer, Sp up on most builders today, hence the hike here I guess. Thats the reason I bought in here last year- its been slow but starting to pay off now.
Very large purchase at the Year high price today, gla
I believe their annual figures are out on monday?
I want to support MBH but SP fell (ha ha like a brick) and was about to sell and jumped back 3.0% ....can anyone explain how/why??
If there is a gambler in you, then this could be well worth a few grand. An order limit to buy at around 70p may be just the trick.
Er no! More like watching paint dry.
Any brickmaker woth its salt should have been making a fortune in last 12 months. Divi anyone? Looks like we might just get our act together in time for the next recession, in May!
Yes, saw that - exciting week ahead? GLA
Nice write up in Money Mail on Michelmersh Brick Holdings : http://dailym.ai/1rRPVGg
Looking good :-)
Spoke to some-one in the industry over the week-end- Bricks still in demand and stock levels still low in UK. Cannot see why the share price has dropped, but remain a medium term holder.
Early days but indicators just starting to turn noses up - OBV & RSI up and volume increasing over last few days - ideal time to buy IMO - only god news to come
rebought a slug @57p...still on free carry (a little pricey still imv)
Michelmersh Brick Holdings Earnings fell at Michelmersh Brick (MBH) in 2013, but first-half results this year were better-than-expected and forced Cenkos Securities to upgrade forecasts. Higher brick prices mean adjusted earnings per share (EPS) are now tipped to rocket by 1,000% in 2014, up from 0.2p to 2.2p. That’s more than double the 2012 figure, too. Next year, it's back down to earth, although forecast growth of 25% is not to be sniffed at, and average forecast growth for the two years is a stunning 511%.
Bad forward planning then
MBH are apparently producing at capacity. It is a long & expensive process to increase capacity. Hence the waiting list.
Beats me as no news yet the SP continues to fall.
Same question 2 months and a 10% fall in SP later!. I hear builders can't get bricks for love or money, MBH instituted almost a rationing system. Either this company is badly managed and inefficient OR the share price must be grossly undervalued. Is there anybody out there who knows the answer to this conundrum. Does anybody even care? Management? This should have been boomtime of late - have we missed the boat now?
Just listening to Jeremy Vine on Radio 2 regarding national brick shortage Surely MBH are producing at full wack ? waiting time 5 months? brick prices on the up - company should be booming? Why is SP slipping?
again, opposing views..hows asos going..or sncl??
Sunday Telegraph article. Brick price up 8% ,can't make enough. Stock down one third across the country, house building rising strongly. BUY BUY BUY
but sold most of my free carry today ...looks stretched v TNW & CF..and placing was @45p
Really good RNS very low debt now, brick prices on the up, construction on the up, should see improvement in the SP
Thank you for this management have made no secret they want to sell THIS year to the employees and unions it's just a matter of who
The sale will happen as Heidelburg desperately need the money and you won't get a better time to sell but I doubt there will be a buyer for the whole of the UK and USA brick and concrete divisions. I think Hanson will have to sell it off in bits. Ibstock and Wienerberger are very interested in the UK brick works but I doubt the competition commission will allow either to buy the plants, especially Ibstock. Michelmersh have a better chance given there smaller size and probably can raise enough funds to buy all of the UK hanson brickworks. Maybe Michelmersh and Wienerberger will acquire a few plants between them?
