am selling here, got them at 50p...... thank you very much !!!
The market likes round numbers, and MBH has been at 100 since 23rd August. Technically, it has a chance to go beyond 110p in the next few months. GLA.
I've held these for almost a year now, I think they're seriously undervalued. My other favourite apart from these for the same reason is Anglo Pacific.
I would suggest there's more legs in this share - has been 105p in recent past - prior to announcing major project - prior to purchase of Carlton Brick. I am waiting for 2017 half years results.!! which appear to be running later than last year?? Have I missed them?
Has it peaked @ 93P?It will be a long time before those clay pits are filled in and built over.I'm out of here, nerves won't stand this roller coaster any longer.
Positive news in Daily Telegraph Questor
take over perhaps.
A very bullish move today after the pullback from 93p to 78p. There's no official news out though and volume is not high. However, in the last hour there have been a lot of buys and many between £2k to £5k.
Indeed, what is happening.?Up 9.5P already today.About time in my opinion. This share has been undervalued for far too long.
What is happening?
Positive news today, and a tighter spread should take Michelmersh above 81p in the next few days.
78p met and now 83p. A positive move in Michelmersh's share price recovery. However, today's spread is a very sickly 6.41%. Market makers need to narrow that gap before the market starts to get going again.
Next target is 78p, if it can rise above this the reversal is clear and the shares are heading north. DYOR
It's on the next leg up after the first breakout from 51p. Definite more to go after bottoming out at 46p.
No debt, cash pile building up, undemanding PE, and assets roughly equal to the share price, lovely.
Happy with them , debt free always puts on smile on my face. GLA
A concrete face - yuk
nice move north, foreign imports will only get more expensive thats my thinking.
I hear what you are saying, i remember when the price reached 110 (i bought in at 90p) and i thought i'll hold to see if it gets to its all time high of 120...which it didn't and its been nearly all downhill since. From what i recall the problem seems to start when sales fell but brick prices rose so they still met forecasts, just been rubbish since. Not sure what the way out is, like you say, maybe a take over. If anyone knows more please tell. Nice little rise today though so far
Either we are very inefficient brick manufactures or the market is not as efficient as its supposed to be. This share has performed abysmally lately. I am beginning to cling on to the possibility somebody might try to acquire us. Really, is this a sleepy family-type firm with it's "soft approach" to sales? I should have sold ages ago and bought Ibstock.
looks steady now , and might move north.
I've mentioned this on other boards but concrete facing bricks are taking market share from clay bricks. This trend started during the clay brick shortage 3-4 years ago and developers were desperately looking for alternatives. Concrete facing brick was already used, albeit in smaller numbers. Once developers started using these they stuck with them for low budget developments and haven't looked back since. Look at Persimmon's corporate responsibility page - it clearly says 'Increase our use of sustainable concrete bricks as an alternative to clay bricks'. http://corporate.persimmonhomes.com/corporate-responsibility/persimmon-objectives-2016 Aesthetically concrete facing bricks don't have the same appeal as clay brick but they are cheaper and easier to produce. Persimmon are already building a concrete facing brick plant for backward integration. CEMEX and other concrete producers are exploring the same.
may be great now with £ set for relief rally and s&p set for much anticipated decline or crash ..if fed lift rates expect mayhem (imv..NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE>>> see an expert blah blah blah)
O.T. so just put a huge short on the FTSE. lol
The landfill licence for the former Dunton brickworks has been granted and associated works completed
