Complete tangent. Jolly - can you please have a quick look at CIC? Director buying, meeting on Friday to return cash via buyback/divi. NAV 50% above current price. Many thanks. AP
here...the brick market is delicately poised imv with weakness perhaps helping enough to offset ?temporary slowdown in construction..and then there is the landbank ..I see mbh as better bet than housebuilders cos so sold off and weakening improves competitive position, but BUT BUT have no idea where ebit will be this year or next
Hello Jolly. What's your TP on this?
bottom soon??
rumble
sector recovery/bounce
probably right..and worth a punt at these depressed levels??
DIY by those at the top, not by outers. Nothing has changed yet.
looming??
Debt down, divi doubled, cash up, earnings per share up and an increase in revenue predicted for this year.
Yes, divi payments resumed, improved margins, a lack of supply of bricks nationwide, our new London facility..... Why buy a house builder when you can buy a company that supplies the whole sector! This is a very good medium term buy.

This seems a solid dividend company for the long term, not one for trading imv. We will always need bricks.
This is something my family invested heavily in years ago. It seems to be a good medium to long term investment with good growth , albeit recent falls in so could soon be recovered , has anyone any views please?
Whopee ...SP Michelmersh 10% up today but I only kept a small number out if nostalgia, bit like RR
in weak markets...but impressive buying...bounce? ...looking for c60p re-entry, btw
but gravity of reality inevitable
Weinerberger have recently taken out of mothballs 2 UK facilities resulting in an increase in production of 200 Million bricks per year. MBH produce in total only 70 Million bricks per year, so the UK will be swamped by capacity.
Ibstock floats today @ £190 with twice as many shares as Michelmersh. So, more value here than the city likes you to believe.
MBH Data will be updated in the next 48 hours but the stock is trading below the historical average. Room for an uprating, one would think.
