Not really, the resolution isn't good enough for that.
Can you see anything happening at Roan Seis?
Weekly chrome concentrate price update: unchanged from last week at US$320/ tonne.
Obviously all eyes on Zambia but chrome continuing to perform and from the satellite images at Thutse it looks like plenty of expansion work is going on. Looks to me like the groundworks are being done for the new chrome modules.
Rising costs are driving this. Predominately diesel due to load shedding, transport issues and rising inflation. Be interested to see how rising costs have impacted margins.
Load shedding was 7000hrs last year, not forecast to get any better this FY. Just hope Coetzer bought some cheap Chinese batteries and a million solar panel that’s baked into previous results…

I agree that the coalitions now formed in South Africa is not only good for Jubilee but importantly for South Africa..
I expect that once realization hits, South African shares will improve dramatically from the lows caused by fears that the two anti business parties would keep South Africa on a death spiral . It is a HUGE plus for South Africa and I expect relations with Western countries to normalize. As can be seen with bonds I expect there will now be more monies invested in South Africa .The outflow should stop. It is the first sensible decision taken by the ANC.
Maybe the Jubilee board could take a lesson and TRY to improve communications,

Are you saying we are all children on here Happy? I've taught enough of them to know the difference. Delayed gratification is a superior attribute which some unfortunately never learn.
Worse still he gets the icecream and they sprinkled nuts all over it and they don't like nuts.
To make things even worse there's no bubblegum in the bottom and that's why he chose that icecream in the first place.
Not sure where I'm going with this. The analogy to JLP isn't really working.
I just felt sorry for the kid, that's all.
Now to top up or not to top up - shall I stick some juice on top?
Not so bad when the child is constantly let down and isn’t expecting ice cream.
For those who have trouble understanding the silent treatment.
Imagine you tell your child you taking them for ice cream and it's the most spectacular ice cream you have ever tasted. Then the day comes and not only do you not take your child for ice cream you give your child the silent treatment.
Not really fair ... is it...
Actually shuvlin seisnav makes a valid point about power generation and if it has affected the timelines I'm fine with it just tell us that is the reason otherwise everything is on track and we will provide a further update with end of year results how hard is that apparently way too difficult for this shower.
Copper strategy is the main company focus they were happy to keep copy and pasting how great the IRH deal is in the last few RNS they sent out.
In the time it will have taken to build Roan and get it up to nameplate capacity (if it ever does) another aim company will have built a complete mine and be processing.
Anyway I am off to cut the grass and enjoy the sunshine.

As I said it's a silly price for this even without the copper expansion.
Copper back up around 9800.
Platinum over 1000. Jlp high correlation to pgm prices in 'normal' circumstances i.e. no warrants, no options and no placing.

..... and if you draw another line after the bottom at 4.6p the two peaks of December and May make the top line of a rising wedge!!!!
Very exciting - giving me a rising wedge just thinking about it. Power to the sheeples.
And the slope of that line equated to about 2.86% per week.
If you join the dots on the chart between the March low, the April low, and yesterday's low you get a pretty straight line. Maybe the herd instinct of chartists will confirm yesterday was the bottom.
Thanks for that Sprint. Looks like confidence is returnng.

Surely all that will make Happy jolly and Jolly happy.

Now is not the time to get pessimistic about Jubilee 's prospects.
Wait for news & then make a decision.
The good news is on the JSE the big sellers seem to have disappeared.
There is hope we will hear some good news
Houston, we have a problem. We've blown a fuse and the paint still not dry. But don't tell anyone maybe they won't notice...
Let's face it. Institutions are now in Jubilee for the Copper. PGMs is an unknown because of electric vehicles and Chrome prices won't stay elevated much longer IMO.
We don't even know at what margins Leon renewed the chrome ore for. We have to guess that's still the same margin which isn't good. He could of just told us. But he didn't. So beware.
Leon hyped up Copper so much that when you don't deliver on time this is exactly what happens. Same old same old.
Problem here is a combination of factors. No updates. Several million options doing the rounds and metals prices falling away from their highs. I believe if there was any bad news, Neal would be upfront. He is a qualified professional in his field. Definitely going to be some slippage as the small mining licences go from a theory to reality! But the results will be life changing. The management cant do anything about the options or metal prices, but they can give an update. Hear that Leon/ Neal?
Chrome reassures me at the current price. As Seis updates regularly, the price is very high and appears to continue rising. If Thutse module two is on track, the next full year will be impressive at these prices. None the less, Leon put pen to paper!

Thanks Kalan,
Appreciate the view of the hydraulics - an unexciting hypothesis but most likely the correct one.
On June 3rd 7 million new shares were bought/ allocated. There wasn't any obvious increase in selling after their admission about 8 trading days ago.
Over the last 4 days about 4.6 million shares have been sold in batches of either 100,000 or 150,000 shares - the warrant holder and or option shares may have been sold into a share with weakening fundamentals in terms of PGM prices (which we know is still highly correlated to the share price) and copper margins which have fallen by about 25% from their peak. Also the lack of hoped for news dampening potential buyers to take up the shares. Going to be a real buying opportunity for those who kept their powder dry.
Other possible explanations exist.

There are big sellers in South Africa as well so it is not only ACAM. I really believe that the company should issue a RNS
OrionMinerals... Leon is NOT responsible for news releases now - Neal is.
I'm wondering if this is ACAM selling down. They recently sold some for the first time since they have held the shares. There's no way to know that of course until we get an updated shareholder list or another TR-1.
Of course not! It's price sensitive information so has to come through an RNS.
Anyone think they would get an answer?

Hoke ... you are a typical human ... not good news when it comes to investing.
How about the big fall in the copper price over recent days? Down over 1% so far today too. Also the markets are grim generally, it's not just Jubilee that's falling.
This drop is very worrying and raises endless questions about Jubilee's future. Things going through my mind are amongst others:
1. Is the IRH deal about to fall apart
2. What is wrong with Roan
3.Is there something lurking that is being hidden from shareholders
Can anyone shed some light?

It certainly does not feel like good news imminent - has anyone in SA tried phoning the company?, e mails are often easily ignored
If we get an update mid July that will be two and a half months, that is just unacceptable and any news but good news would be enough for my to sell up.
It’s not even about the decline in share price for me, it’s all about not communication with the shareholders
Edzi
I have come to the same conclusion. This didn't even need an RNS. Doesn't take much to put a pic or vid on Linked In or twitter showing the plant operations.
Update in mid July that is for sure.
Just like this header, there is something wrong with communication.
I dont buy this busy in negotiations line - its a two minute message to confirm all good, or he needs to be on it anyhow. C levels dont get the luxury of 1 dimension focus for two weeks and counting.
THis is Leon's Achilles heel, and will be the demise of his CEO tenure given its been visible for years now and he isnt addressing this weakness
Shuvlin
The only secret can be that it's NOT up and running
Last post: Kennyp52, 18 Jun 2024 09:44
What does JLP pay Ollie for ? Communication has been dire since he came on board. They might be concentrating on the projects and getting them up to capacity but I still do not see any value added by Ollie
Long term for me. Cheer up jolly. SP finished sitting on the 50 day moving average resistance so .......
50 day moving average at 7.35p aprox- let's see where it finishes today.
Negativity amongst us long term holders at frenzied peak. It's down to frustration. We had it in our minds that news could land at the end of May and it didn't happen - maybe it was never the intention - whatever it is/was - the only reason the sp has fallen is because of holders selling. most sell at the bottom and buy at the top- no intention of selling just trying to time the next buy. Thank goodness for the chrome cash flow and the placing - just a matter of time to mega cash flow and reduced capex. Going to cut the grass..... just waiting for a couple of electrical components. Should be up and running by 4pm. Do they have screwfix in Africa?
I tend to agree as “mining” does not cover all aspects of what it does. If companies had to pay penalties for long lasting waste dumps the whole complexion of the market in which JLP operates would change.
Lack of trust. Not news.
JLP needs to relist on a better index which provides liquidity and better valuations. 5% off simply due to lack of news is ridiculous!
BTW a long term holder is not the same as a holder who was out from covid till very recently
Started: Ardbeggar, 17 Jun 2024 09:05

On what evidence?
These electrical components have caused almost a 6 month delay. It's honestly doesn't add up??
When Leon says the Roan module was assembled and tested in SA. How exactly was it tested? Did they ship down a few hundred tons of copper material to do the testing?
Also what electrical bits did they use to test it in SA?
And no news on the additional 4 modulars?? Wtf is happening here??
If they update and say they still haven’t got the part that will be it for me, I will sell up. The communication is diabolical.
C.mon indeed. I hate these (hiatii?).

You can find SA fuel prices for the current and past years here:

This financial year has been slightly cheaper than last in Rand terms.
If the price of diesel in SA is reflective of the UK, it will be cheaper than last year! Anyone got figures for the last 2 years in SA?

You’re right Jolly. I missed this through the research I did. Great news.
Actually.. there has been no loadshedding for roughly 75 days now.
Charts saying now is a good time to be topping up or getting in. Strong support at 7.3p and even stronger at 7p. Drifting sideways to slightly down (obviously) but with very little downside and massive potential upside. MacD being primed for an upswing.
Of course news will trump charts but the sp is in a healthy position chartwise for a big move up on good news.
It looks like most are just patiently waiting with a few trimming their holding and a few buying in.
I don't really see any hidden stories or conspiracy type stuff, we have idle minds and we let them wander.
The schedule has been delayed again due to electric delivery IMO and they want an rns to be positive which I think it will be and in the not too distant future.
Barring another placing or Roan upgrade not working we will be on the up again soon IMO. Then a stream of positives to report thereafter.
Roan running, Roan up to nameplate, Thutse module completed, Module at nameplate. 2nd module started, Sable improvements complete. design and location of first IRH module decided. Deals signed with xy and z. Copper rising after recent pump and dump out of the system. Massive profits for 2nd half 2025. (Don't expect anything good in June finances).
TG5,
Your 11.47 post yesterday shines a light on why disclosure of the Roan electric component is so crucial. I agree with your view - I would not buy whilst there is this uncertainty - is Roan now commissioning, or are we still in delay. Therefore this information is potentially holding back (or holding up if there is delay to convey) our share price as it will be affecting the behaviour of potential investors.
A good CEO would acknowledge this and find a way to communicate - interviews, RNS's. As I stated the other day, Leon is letting us down here. If he was neck deep in shares I may be more lenient in my view but he isnt - thats been his choice, but it changes my trust levels accordingly. If you weant to see good comms and CEO alignement to Shareholders - you could do worse than look at Zephyr (ZPHR). CEO communicates well and despite a 12 month setback has managed to keep LTH in loop and he is heavily invested. I doubt Leon will change and as JLP scales, his positives for me, are more offset by the negatives.
Im still invested and still see this going up - it could be more comfortable and go up faster with the right CEO in my view.
Kalan, what are those charts saying?
Personally, I would hold and wait a week or so, Kalan. I’m not 100% convinced about this upgrade to Roan, and if it was delayed a few weeks longer, will create a great buying opportunity. Whereas if all is good, I see any increase to be modest until they prove they can deliver.
Just my thoughts
Tg5
Thanks for your tip on LND TG5- it was a well timed tip. I looked at it and decided funding was too big a problem. My bad, good tip, ignored by me. Congratulations on your profit this time - will keep it on watch. Now let's move on - how long dare I leave my top up- Tg5 reckons any time until mid July for news. Could we be surprised?
Last post: Thegambler5, 14 Jun 2024 10:46
From January RNS…
Roan will continue to operate at approximately 50% of full capacity while an alternative solution is being pursued to source the electrical components which includes the option to locally manufacture the components. A 9 weeks delay is expected to the upgrade of the Roan project.
Now Mid June. Not good enough
Tg5
This is from the 18th april RNS. Re. Roan
The assembly of the new front-end modular unit at Roan is scheduled to commence commissioning and ramp-up during May 2024. This will expand the overall capacity of Roan to produce up to 13 000 tonnes of Contained Copper per annum.
The completion of the upgrade has been frustrated by the delay in the delivery of the final electrical components due to logistical challenges and based on current delivery schedules, has delayed the completion of the project by six weeks expected to the end of May 2024. This delay impacts the forecasted copper tonnes for the FY2024 period as the full impact of the upgrade will only be seen during the month of June 2024.
Not the use of "based on CURRENT delivery schedules". Plenty of possibilities for slippage there and also "during the month of June" indicates that the impact could be felt anytime within the present month. I can't see them issuing any more news until that is fulfilled.
