Absolutely.....I am saying it from the begining of the year....well over reaction to the news in December, and slowly but surely recovering since... .plenty mre legs to go but we could do with some contract/s wins news to realy give it a push.....GLA.
But mostly to do with the complete overreaction to their update in December, at precisely the markets were all getting jittery. All we are seeing is a re-rate back to a sensible level....
Probably has a bit to do with it, I saw it on linked in, had a look at what they were doing and decided to have a punt! Used to work just next door to Filtronic, remember the price in the dot.com boom! Will be happy with a tenth of that lol
Is it just a coincidence that these past few days Filtronic have been exhibiting at a very important trade fair in Barcelona.
Think it's just momentum as the chart has been heading gradually northwards these last few days
@ 10.29p.
May be it's turning a corner and contract or contracts on the way!
Hi,
I've been following FTC since it fell from ~20s... Apart from being a good company...
What's the cause of today's rise?
Thanks. Have been watching since the 7s lol.
Welcome, and GL to you all......the trend is your friend, and it's certainly good one atm....anther good rise this week YET, stil cheap enough IMHO.
@ 9p today. Up 10% now.
Just bought some. Local company to me and like the product/potential.
Be nice to get up near the High this year
And steady rise continue.....nice,and easy does it.
transaction date 1 Feb
Some momentum forming...see what next week brings.
,
Yes show of confidance.....althiugh the shares bought cheaper than the current....we have a seller at the background which block further rise atm,but all sells moped fairly easy, and once cleared we can expect the next jump.
750,000 shares - must be feeling confident
Circular was released yesterday by the way, which clearly would explain the above average level of activity. I suspect that we could see the same sort of activity during the early part of this coming week, and that near term price target might be attained somewhat quicker than the analyst had anticipated !
Well worth ploughing through new company broker's inaugural piece of research. 24 pages long. They make the point that the enterprise value/sales ratio is significantly lower than the average, and on their 60% discount basis the near term price target is 10.5p. However, should there be improved visibility of future revenue streams then obviously a narrower discount would be more appropriate. If, for example, the company was priced on an average ratio then the price would be 24p.

I expected a bigger reaction after the half year results - still predict this will be back above 10p in the near term . DYOR
The market start to sniff a bargain here, I fully expecting the post half year results momentum to continue next week and beyond...have a good weekend guys .:-)
You realise of course that Professor Rhodes is no longer involved in any way whatsoever with the management of the Company. Indeed, I am not even sure that he still has any shares, certainly he is not disclosed as having more than 3%.
I too was at Leeds University, 1971-1974. Fond memories of some excellent gigs in the Refectory, although sadly I missed out on Paul Mc.Cartney's Wings when they turned up unannounced one day, and played for free.
Just looking in at Filtronic. I am not a holder. Just follow it from time to time. I went to L eeds University , studied Electronic Engineering between 1985 - 1988. The lecturer of Microwave Electronics was a Professoe Rhodes. He lectured parttime, as busy with his new company ...Filtronics Ltd.
The rest became history with the onset of the mobile phone industry.....and he became mega mega rich
