Bought at 6.999 after thinking this was the bottom, obviously not! Any idea where that might be? Like you everything is down but hopefully something positive soon.
I'm now down loads on everything in my portfolio and this one has just joined my failures. In the past I sold shares at a loss only to the same shares worth much more than I bought them for. Admittedly some sank and eventually disappeared, that's where the research comes in. I hope I've got this one right as feel a complete failure at the moment, looking at my investments. But at the end of the day l did my research and took the plunge, no one to blame but myself. I could sit behind my laptop moaning about the company but what's the point. I'm sure they will be trying there best to get us back on track as soon as possible. I will be topping up tomorrow as I've hopefully called this right. Have faith in the management and yourself or move on.
Care to explain how you came by that figure ?? Any logic to it ????

Where does everyone think the bottom is ?
bargain prices load up time will turn blue
the management of Filtronic must be s@@@@@g themselves with what has happened here, they like myself are hoping for a reasonable price in the market soon.
Is practically impossible unless you are very very lucky...if you think a share is way oversold and you brave enough then you dip your toe with purchase of a first tranche which I have done yesterday...I will keep watching and base on further development will consider adding or cut my losses and move on...having said that IMHO the current mad market is very punishing and even good news seems to be ignored left alone profit warning....this company suffered a major setback but far off from going bust...hopefully they can move on to get them back on track. Again IMHO.
"who buys the 100,000 and 150,000 blocks"....The same person that sells in 100,000 and 150,000 .. seen this many times. Look at the trades, there's the exact trades as sells as well a little later whether they be in profit or deficit. I think someone it looking for the bottom of a falling share price but has yet to find it.
Until the BOD clarifies exactly what mMIMO represents in terms of contract loss then it is impossible to know the implications to the company. I mean seriously … going by the RNS or the financial statement, can ANYONE genuinely work out what the worth of the mMIMO contract was worth to FTC? Unless we can there the share price is uncertain and with uncertainty it will only continue to fall with people buying in on the hope its reached the bottom but unfortunately it looks like it has further to drop. I am in this share at the moment wishing i'd waited but will average down once the bottom has been reached.
who buys the 100,000 and 150,000 blocks
it is a major blow.
but going fwd they will start to roll out 5g .plus money in the bank ,plus the us side ,plus mod things ..
looking at 10p/12p sort term
NOT written of at all......
From RNS.......
" However, given the importance of mMIMO to our future plans in the antenna business, the Board has commenced a review of its options for this component of the Group."
Looking at options to carry on with work towards mMIMO / 5G .... not given up yet !!!
Is it a fact???.....aducated guess.....or just a wishful thinking???......

Rob Smith, CEO, commented "We are delighted to receive these initial production orders for our mMIMO antenna. The announcement on 30 July 2018 by T-Mobile and Nokia stating that Nokia will supply T-Mobile with $3.5 billion of early stage 5G Network Equipment as part of T-Mobile's first US nationwide 5G rollout underpins our confidence in our decision to focus considerable energy and resources over the past year on our mMIMO developments. mMIMO is a key technology for Mobile Telecommunications Networks as it uses licensed spectrum far more efficiently, thereby increasing existing network capacity. It enables the use of beamforming techniques which will be an essential requirement of 5G networks. The orders demonstrate our credibility and capability as a supplier of complex antennas into the telecoms market."As this product moves into regular production, demand is expected to flow in accordance with our customer's normal buying cycles. As a consequence, Filtronic will not announce further orders for this product type unless they fall outside the expected pattern or are material in the context of our anticipated financial performance. There is no certainty that production orders will continue at the current rate. Rob Smith, CEO, said "We are pleased that order flow is now running for this product which is the first offering from our Massive MIMO antenna range. This technology is key to the densification of 4G/LTE networks and is a cornerstone technology for future 5G networks.".New Contract WinFiltronic plc (AIM: FTC), the designer and manufacturer of antennas, filters and mmWave products for the wireless telecoms and critical communications markets, is pleased to announce that it has entered into a new multi-year supply agreement with a major European defence contractor to provide state of the art microwave modules for use in aerospace radar systems. The agreement is subject to a production process qualification.Under the terms of the Agreement Filtronic will manufacture and test the modules at its advanced mmWave centre of excellence in Sedgefield, UK. The multi-year contract has an anticipated potential value in the region of £3.0m to £5.7m dependent on the final volumes delivered over the duration of the Agreement.Rob Smith, CEO, said: "We are delighted to have been selected as a supplier of these modules to this prestigious customer. We have worked hard to develop opportunities in the defence and aerospace market and this contract flows from the successful ramp of our other defence contracts. This further underwrites our growing credibility in this important market."
about to go blue 7.9 paid

some one buying in at 100,000 and 150,000 a lot of them

.
The year under review saw steady progress as we further
developed our strategy of broadening our customer base and
the markets we serve. Although sales revenue reduced, a
good sales mix along with the initial fulfilment of the previously
announced defence contracts enabled gross margins to
improve, with the result that operating profitability was
marginally higher than in the comparative period.
The reduction in sales resulted from a combined impact
of lower than expected demand for our customer-specific
integrated ultra wide band antennas and delays in the
production ramp of our new defence contracts that did not
achieve full production capacity until the final quarter of the
year. In the second half of the year, we also saw a softening
of demand for legacy filter products as some of these
programme roll-outs naturally concluded.
We are, however, very pleased with the progress made
through the year in developing, refining and executing our
strategies to prepare the business for 5G deployment and
to increase our participation in markets other than mobile
telecommunications infrastructure. We were particularly
pleased to announce the award of a development contract
for Massive MIMO (“mMIMO”) antennas from Nokia. This is
strategically significant as mMIMO is a fundamental technique
that will be used in the development and deployment of 5G
systems. The mMIMO antenna is complex, but we have been
able to leverage our prior IP to accelerate the development
phase and we anticipate that, having recently received initial
orders, production will commence in the first half of FY2019.
