Same as myself. Don't want to sell under 1.5p . So I hope you get near to your 1.45p in the near future. It would take all the pressure off. Could relax a bit by then. Just need a bit of luck for a change. Atb mate. Zeps
Nice one – I really don't want to sell any shares below 1.45 which is what I started buying at but I do have rather a large holding with all the averaging down - I will take a view on it with next news lets just hope we get those permits, I don't mind really if it takes 2 months but I just want assurance that we will get them. if ever I need to get anything off my chest again the code will be - Polish pizza anyone? lol - have a good day mate ; )
I agree 100%. my average is still disturbing on 2 1/2 mill. I got a bit peed of when it dropped so much today. Thinking about the permits and change of office in georgia. I would like to top slice at 1.5p. Just keep a mill and half. With ddj out of the way and no more large sells we have a chance of the 1.00p mark. At the moment I think the mms are playing their game. Which is annoying. Atb zeps
Hi Zeps - yes I had had a bearish thought (which I guess you've read by now) and just wanted loftya's opinion without creating a hullabaloo in our board. I know that a few of us have higher averages and I don't want to post anything too detrimental to our already fragile sp. I still think everything will be okay for us once we get the permits - we just really need to get the permits but at the minute I don't think we have any assurance of that. The one plus sign for me was that the director buys came after the newly elected Premier - hopefully a good sign.
This will go lower as it's still in it's early stages and not much or any profit to be made due to the costs, i reckon give it a couple of years and then this will see really good gains but till then i would invest my money elsewhere.
Lack of interest and recent negative comment about the prospects for Domino's Pizza in this country appear not to have done DPP any favours - sub 20p soon?
No forseeable rise, looks like 30p could be at least 6months away, quite possibly a year - worth a punt I reckon if one is happy to invest for the longer term. Hard to say DPP is undervalued, but in future terms, at these prices I'm not disappointed I bought in.
Take a look at the Intrim results.........guess the drop is down to the fact that sub - franchising is 2 years away and requires further funding
What's happening guys- why the big drop!?
For those of us who bought at 60 odd pence can anyone see anything to have some optimism with this??
advertising costs are a necessary expentidure for long term success. They'll get a lot of repeat custom from each new customer aquisition I would imagine, plus the setup costs have been incredible, despite the reduced number of owned as opposed to franchised branches. I'll be keeping an eye on sales figures for the year, still think it's going to be a good one to be in in the future. All the best to all still holding
...but no mention of whether they're actually making any money. I suspect not as advertising and promotions must be costly.
Almost exactly the same as me, jumped ship at a 31% loss, got 39.5p. Long term is all good and well, but if long term involves a year or two of sp decline then that's no good, better to get back in lower. Not enough info and charts are saying nothing. Tiny volumes having a huge impact.
I bailed out at 39p with a 27% loss in order to cover another speculative position but never expected DPP to hit 29p - like many other AIM companies it's now somewhat under-valued but I have no funds to buy back unless I sell other shares at a loss! I think the technical term for the mess we're in is "downward spiral".
Does anybody have a clue as what is happening
that's news from DP Poland! Not sure who CP Poland are! They might make their pizza with fat fingers
Amendment to Master Franchise Agreement ("MFA") As described in our 2011 results statement, the Company's store opening strategy has been revised. Having successfully established a good presence in Warsaw, opening 12 stores in 2011 and our 13th store in April this year, we anticipate opening a minimum of 2 further Company operated stores this year. This opening schedule is expected to be complemented by the commencement of sub-franchising in 2013. Our franchisor is in full agreement with our evolving strategy and has agreed an amendment to our MFA to reflect this revised strategy. The threshold number of company operated stores required before we sub-franchise stores has been reduced from 20 to 12. While the minimum required store openings are lower this year than originally planned, the agreed minimum store opening schedule to 2019 is higher at 127 stores in total. We are focusing our efforts in 2012 on building brand awareness and sales, which are continuing to grow across the estate. 14 May 2012
Hope so, Euros (as in football not notes/coin!) should be a good catalyst for growth at least, wish I'd waited until this week to buy them, not to worry, it'll be a great addition to the portfolio eventually
and a board director bought 200000 shares last week.............does he know something we are about to find out?
This share is clearly for those that want to invest over the long term, but i'm excited for the end result. I think its a given that this share price will do very well over the next 2-5 years, after all this is Domino's who are tried and tested. I predict a sp of £1 within a year from now!
lol feels a bit like that but lets hope its not dead from the roots up, didnt seem to take off as i hoped.........
following on from ghost town as the theme tune of this board for now, and at the risk of sounding like a pretentious tw*t, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tumbleweed displays characteristics not too dissimilar to DPP at the mo, "once mature and dry, disengages from the root and tumbles away in the wind", sounds like the franchise phase of the roll out. "tumbleweed is a diaspore, aiding in dispersal of propagules (seeds or spores)" There are a few chuckles to be had if you read through the above wiki with DPP in mind.
