Rainbow Rare Earths Phalaborwa project shaping up to be one of the lowest cost producers globally. Watch the video here.
Yup, I've been pretty much perplexed by the recent rises, sawe the Egyptian update today and it all made sense. Question is, will Monday see further rises?
if you saw a retrace coming over the hill! Seriously though, I don't have my hand up. I'm not holding at the moment, didn't see the rise coming and was swithering about whether it was going to continue north or have a bit of a retrace, big spread. Haven't been keeping an eye on ferrochrome price, export volumes, energy costs etc. bla bla bla lately but I might do a wee bit of mining just now. GLA
I'd almost be sure enough to bet a kidney on news being after Monday. No reason or proof, just a hunch
It does indeed. Good day!

sorry to hear that. It did look weird earlier this week, nothing happening, very little volume, yet a steady decline in sp. Think someone was getting ready for this to happen.
a few years back. err, or more maybe. Always seems like there's good ideas, a lot of bad luck in play as well
Just saw this, things really this bad? Haven't been reading anything in IFM recently
I reckon you're the man for this question, trading platforms, I've asked this on another board too, I've always used hargreaves lansdown, which admittedly might just be through ignorance and laziness as it's what I started with, so a friend asked me my opinion and I'm probably not the best to offer advice, he's been told svs securities is good, what d'you think? Sorry for the off topic on here, but in the absence of any other real action of late, I hope none of you mind, just looking for a bit of help. Cheers to anyone else with an opinion on this in advance
advertising costs are a necessary expentidure for long term success. They'll get a lot of repeat custom from each new customer aquisition I would imagine, plus the setup costs have been incredible, despite the reduced number of owned as opposed to franchised branches. I'll be keeping an eye on sales figures for the year, still think it's going to be a good one to be in in the future. All the best to all still holding
Almost exactly the same as me, jumped ship at a 31% loss, got 39.5p. Long term is all good and well, but if long term involves a year or two of sp decline then that's no good, better to get back in lower. Not enough info and charts are saying nothing. Tiny volumes having a huge impact.
thanks for that, makes sense, atb
yeah, lots of AIM stocks sitting with large spreads at the mo, is that just purely from low trade volumes?
that's news from DP Poland! Not sure who CP Poland are! They might make their pizza with fat fingers
Amendment to Master Franchise Agreement ("MFA") As described in our 2011 results statement, the Company's store opening strategy has been revised. Having successfully established a good presence in Warsaw, opening 12 stores in 2011 and our 13th store in April this year, we anticipate opening a minimum of 2 further Company operated stores this year. This opening schedule is expected to be complemented by the commencement of sub-franchising in 2013. Our franchisor is in full agreement with our evolving strategy and has agreed an amendment to our MFA to reflect this revised strategy. The threshold number of company operated stores required before we sub-franchise stores has been reduced from 20 to 12. While the minimum required store openings are lower this year than originally planned, the agreed minimum store opening schedule to 2019 is higher at 127 stores in total. We are focusing our efforts in 2012 on building brand awareness and sales, which are continuing to grow across the estate. 14 May 2012
Hope so, Euros (as in football not notes/coin!) should be a good catalyst for growth at least, wish I'd waited until this week to buy them, not to worry, it'll be a great addition to the portfolio eventually
following on from ghost town as the theme tune of this board for now, and at the risk of sounding like a pretentious tw*t, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tumbleweed displays characteristics not too dissimilar to DPP at the mo, "once mature and dry, disengages from the root and tumbles away in the wind", sounds like the franchise phase of the roll out. "tumbleweed is a diaspore, aiding in dispersal of propagules (seeds or spores)" There are a few chuckles to be had if you read through the above wiki with DPP in mind.
Yeah, doesn't look overly positive at first, but I guess the ifs and buts of demand this year could have something to do with it. Previous position would have been to stockpile and sell when the price rises, but with energy costs so high, the "attractive compensation" may be welcome, if other SA producers have already accepted similar offers, there's the potential bonus in pushing the spot price up. Maybe it's just a bit of caution, possibly a way to near enough guarantee this year passes without disaster. Why not before? No idea, either we weren't in a position for this to affect us (allocation unused or reduced for the furnace repairs), Eskom weren't in a position to offer the compensation, or simply this is the right move at the moment. Agreed though, this story asks more questions than it answers.
excuse my ignorance, but I missed the start of the jam comments. Two years since the last run and I have to say I did switch off for a while and missed a fair chunk of several nosedives. Think I'm a little emotionally attached to this share. Someday I'll probably go and visit on holiday with the profits, could be a while mind you!
Bah! Been watching this since ceckys was all on his lonesome proclaiming the virtues of this company. Keep thinking I've missed the boat, keep getting it wrong, hence bah! Good luck and all the best!
