Instead of selling Blackwood Gin, Distil should team up with small Tonic maker and sell ready mix 'Gin&Tonic' in pretty bottles.
I'd sell Blackwood's, as it's starting to struggle with such a small company, but a big company with a big distribution network could make a lot more from it. Sell it for £10m, give the shareholders 1p per share special dividend, that leaves £5m to pump into existing an new products and would make the share price at least 10x what it is today.
decent performance in light of covid etc but this is clearly a 1 brand company now.
IF someone want Redleg might as well bid for whole company - say £10m (80% premium to current market cap) as the other brands are pretty worthless ATM.
I'm sure they would sell any or all of the brands given the right price.. I've heard Don talk previously about our tiny mcap (£10m at the time) and the potential for a brand sale 5 x that valuation. We have sales lines into the UK major supermarkets and in Duty Free outlets and even Wetherspoons.. I just think we need to be a little more agile with our range of offerings.. and hopefully we can do that going forwards.. Mardi Gras? We just need to be there at the right time with the right product when one of the big players decides they need to have xxx in their range. In the meantime I'm just happy that they don't ever ask shareholders for more cash like most other Aim companies do.
Dave - what brand would you sell. Redleg has the real value at the moment, but would massively reduce revenue?
Overall good numbers, a prudently run company. Only worry if the fickle nature of the market and with companies chasing the next trend (gin then rum) with brand saturation.
Happy with the results considering what's going on all around us.
Revenue up, profit up, money in the bank and still that 20 - 50m brand sale possibility.
Good news considering the covid lockdowns. Good to see Diva is selling again, and that we've entered new markets. We really need to get into the USA market and I'd say we need to do it before Boris strikes a US trade deal, so we are ahead of the competition.
Not a word about selling a brand. Maybe it's not the right time what with the covid lockdowns, but as I said before, Don needs to get on with selling a brand, as that is the core company policy and the way to a big shareholder return.
Blackwoods Vintage Dry Gin offered at £16 a bottle rather than £ 22 at Morrisons !
Redleg is currently featured on the Tesco homepage in its "Top Offers" section. Nice bit of exposure and a great price if you're thirsty.

So undervalued here it's crazy.

“Distil Plc (LON:DIS) cheered high demand for alcoholic drinks as UK consumers have been stocking up during the lockdown. In the quarter to 31 March, revenues soared 97% as sales volumes increased 80%, thanks to “strong” individual brand performance and weak results last year due to Brexit.Analysts at Progressive said the results were helped by “a judicious decision” to advance production timing to ensure availability of stock, as well as “prompt channel management”.The AIM-listed firm switched stock from the on-trade channels, such as pubs, hotels and restaurants, to meet increased demand from the off-trade channel, such as grocery stores. Last month revenues jumped 50%, “more than double the 22% increase indicated in recent press reports for the UK alcohol market,” analysts noted.” Courtesy Proactiveinvestors

Oh, I'm watching the sp closely. I'll wait for now. Will be happy to top up below 1p if it happens, esp if the market gets nervous when results come out (old news imho). I am already putting more cash than I should into a single AIM company, but I have high expectations for DIS in medium to long run.
Chance to top-up Mr_Big!
Looks like it's going to be Monday
Hope you're right Haggie!
Last year the results appeared on Monday, the year before on Friday. So this Friday or the following Monday I'd say.
Bugger me sideways. I though 1.09 was too expensive to top up...
Any idea why the rise at this particular point - or just the market in a small share
All of these products are great, and in the supermarkets. I have been in and out here before, it's probably a good time to buy again and check back in 6 months.
Seeing some nice movement here...I must say, Red Leg is a lovely drop! Perfect in a hippo round the golf course...
Be good to see this move further north as people begin to re-engage with the hospitality sector.
You're aiming (and firing) about 2p below the actual target...
Agreed, this has 2p all over it.
I'm reasonably happy to top-up anywhere under 2p for this share.
There go my hopes of topping up below 1p.
That sounds very promising. There aren't any young and trendy types that would talk to me, so I'm missing out on intel.
