I may have missed this news and if so please correct me, but as far as I am aware Next-ChemX are still working on their pilot plant. I think it was scheduled for completion by the end of Q2 this year and is needed to determine whether their lab proven technology can be successfully adapted for financially viable commercial use. Without this we will be going nowhere!
Can anyone provide any insight?
Thanks.
Next-ChemX update to yesterdays news ...

@Proper-Job
Next-Chem X has contracted the work out to techs / engs in India.
So, I think they would have achieved their targeted deadlines.
There is a difference in Next Chem X's news release and Clontarf's RNS.
Next Chem X states financial and Pilot Testing.
'Phase 3 of the process will include confirmation of the Clontarf/NEXT-ChemX JV partnership's financial capacity as well as demonstration of NEXT-ChemX’s pilot plant that is being built in India. Clontarf and NEXT-ChemX have been working closely together on the Bolivian extraction opportunity since 2022.'
Doesn't it all have to be completed within the next 10 days ?
NEXT-ChemX Corporation is an innovative technology company preparing to introduce its proprietary, patented novel Membrane-Based Ion Extraction Technology, known as iTDE technology (ion Targeting Direct Extraction) that has been proven to extract very low concentrations of certain ions from liquid solutions, while reducing the harmful impact to the environment using current processes. Our system uses a unique hollow fiber technology to extract lithium directly from brines, leach solutions, or recycled battery solutions. The extraction process is continuous, proven and can be used for a range of metal ions and radioactive ions.

Yes, by end of next week 'Friday' CLON should lodge the documents. By end of the week after we will get the result back.
It is EU bid rather than CLON, so plenty of support I guess.
Thanks to all who answered my queries.
In my opinion, a successful demonstration of the pilot plant within the prescribed time frame is the key success factor to this entire project. Get this right and I don't think any amount of funding will be a problem.
Perhaps this is why the share price has not 'taken off' yet.
For all our sakes, let's hope it works.
Good luck to all.
CLON (DH) wouldn’t have sought approval by YLB unless he has confidence in the technology of Clon and already discussed the back up by JV and European Commission backing and recommendations…
From the recent RNS…” At the suggestion of the European Commission, Clontarf has now broadened its "Team Europe" partnership to include financing and offtake partners representing key OEM manufacturers in the German Mittelstand. Endorsement from one of the world's leading groups of high tech, battery-quality Lithium offtakers is heartening.
The Company further acknowledges the European Commission's leadership and strong support for the European companies involved, including initiating high-level negotiations over infrastructure financing, and issuing a Letter of Comfort for the qualified European companies, which may prove critical in overcoming any remaining financial challenges. Clean, Green Lithium from brines may be classified as a strategic project under the EU's Critical Resource Minerals Act”
SP is in a vacuum and market is waiting for confirmation of the above .
It’s time to make up your mind!
I don’t believe DH would go to such lengths to achieve phase 3 without being already obtaining firm plans and backup.
Hasiba,
Yes, I agree the technology works, but has only been proven in the laboratory. To create an efficient continuous industrial process is another challenge in itself. That's the point I was making; nobody will use it if the cost of the lithium is significantly more than traditional methods. From what I've seen environmental concerns seem to be ignored where money is concerned!
All the best.
Hasiba - I agree with your thoughts. I'd also say that the EU wouldn't be encouraging/backing CLON either unless they were confident!
I'd like more detail on potential financing from EU and/or another partner.
I'm also wondering whether there are any reasons for Bolivia to favour a European bid?
CLON has to be one of the most interesting plays on AIM and has massive potential... so far, I think DH is playing a blinder - let's hope and pray that it all goes our way.
Think of it as a long term project, where Bolivia are selecting partners to work with as a JV. This isn't going to be a quick pilot plant and bish bosh bash now we'll build a full scale facility. There will be 2-3 years of consultation, fine tuning and improving, securing the Supply Chains for the filter, sensors and equipment etc is paramount and not an insubstantial task. BoL Gov is not selecting partners on the basis they can deliver tomorrow or the next day. It doesn't need to be a multi million Chinese outfit thats good to go... That Clon/Next Chem have an approach that is unique and of serious interest will qualify them as Long Term Partners IMO and then Bolivia can really support and build with Clon to get the tech working at an industrial scale. Whether it does or doesn't will be a journey of discovery for both parties much further down the line, it isn't going to absolutely determine the outcome of the contracts at this early stage. They can rip them up and go down a different route in a couple of years if needs be!!
Wow Francky hats off to you. You have very recently joined the Clon board, made around 12 posts some of which have been insulting annd provacative and all of a sudden consider yourself a ‘respected and experienced member of the clon board’. You must have felt good writing that detailed post teaching us inexperienced bufoons about the future JV arrangements aims of the Bolivians.
Why when someone says something positive around you always play “I’ve been here years”🤔 that’s not our fault you misread the company timelines,It’s about NOW either it delivers or it doesn’t 🤭
I dont consider myself anything Pauly nor do i care what your opinion of me is either. You should try a betting shop and then moan about how the trainer is rubbish and the jockey wasnt trying whilst bemoaning your bad luck. It would suit your mindset perfectly. Now is a great time to invest in Clon but sorry if you ve been in here indefinitely and feeling all bitter toward us newbies. I invested 12 months ago so not that new.
"From what I've seen environmental concerns seem to be ignored where money is concerned!"
Not in Bolivia, as it has monumental water shortages and there is no point ignoring the environmental concerns if it leads to no food production and a population dying of thirst.

What that article doesn't mention is that Bolivia is currently facing a severe crisis due to a combination of intense winter heat fuelled by the climate crisis and the El Niño phenomenon. Large portions of the country are experiencing drought, water shortages, and rising average temperatures. Seven of the nine departments in Bolivia are currently experiencing severe drought and a lack of rainfall. This has jeopardized the water and food supply for over 200,000 families, particularly in the Andean region. The water crisis, worsened by climate change, has damaged crops and killed livestock. Bolivia’s Andean departments have been significantly affected by a lack of rain since at least 2016. Oruro has been declared a disaster area, while La Paz, Cochabamba, and Chuquisaca are in emergency status. Potosí and Tarija have also been severely affected. In Santa Cruz, the country’s largest department with over four million inhabitants, some municipalities have already begun rationing. This region is Bolivia’s economic engine and produces 61% of the country’s food, most of which is exported. According to a recent report from the country’s National Institute of Statistics, the amount of rainfall in Bolivia has decreased by 28% in the last five years. Annual rainfall was 606 cubic inches (9,941 millimeters) in 2018, dropping to 439 cubic inches (7,192 millimeters) in 2022. The situation is dire, and efforts to address the crisis are crucial to prevent further suffering and food insecurity.
Added to that th silars require water and if water isn't available naturally, where do you get the water from?

Sorry the AP article I posted has little reference to Bolivia so not as relevant as i thought ...
Asimpleinvestor, who is not suffering from climate changes? Even Germany in central Europe with a climate supposed to be very stable has problems with water, to the point they could not operate ore barges with full weight since rivers water dropped considerably. Not to mention other countries where crops failed to 25% from the usual harvest.
after all electric vehicles and lithium batteries are part of the solution to this climate change. lithium will be processed with the condition to keep an eye on this issues, hence the hard condition set to accept the new JV partners.
I guess the next stage after the proof of financial capacity is to provide the proof of efficient technology which Europe is likely to be number on in this field.
rain did not come short from the average yeas in general but it become unpredictable and when it comes it comes in heavy storms rather than those soft rain falls. In general rain is more intensive in hotter climate and Bolivia is not an exception.
Business as usual and thank you for trying to warn us as I do not call it a de-ramp.
Electric vehicles are not a solution for the so called Climate Crap let me tell you.
Look into the way the Chinese are churning them out using material from coal fired power stations!!! And look at how many miles these need to be driven to be carbon neutral. They are a toy for the rich who dump them as fast as they can having owned them for short periods. They're fine for tootling around on short trips but they should not and will not be mandated onto the public. The public can spot a con a Mile away and always see through one eventually!!
Lithium is still required so Clon are in a good position at the minute, hopefully they will at long last come good and make us all a little richer!
Mr T
You ate being sold a myth bynifiots called politicians!!!
ARahim -It's definitely not a deramp when you consider the technology we provide. The fact that iDLE technology uses 95% less water than traditional methods and that this water can be recycled demonstrates its suitability for Bolivia's conditions, allowing more water to be allocated for other uses like agriculture instead of evaporating in silars.
