Good set of results again, with a nice jump in the interim dividend.
Simon Litherland is doing and has done a great job at Britvic.
Funny how swingy the share price is for this company, perhaps its no different to other companies in that respect?
I'm in chart looks like it wants to reverse for bit, gd dividend not a bad balance sheet.
It has hit the 52 week low today so I am banking on some upside from this point forward.
SP in my opinion, currently looks to be near the bottom of recent downturn. Just bought a few more
This share doesn't seem to attract much of a following on here. I've always thought it a steady investment and a reliable divi payer - so bought on the fall. Maybe I'm wrong but I think long term its a good buy.
More great results today. No comments in the last 6 months, probably a good sign!
Excellent set of results and good increase in dividend. This Company is going to grow further in the next few years now that the effects of the pandemic are waning
Sold some cch and Diageo today. Seems right after the Russian situation. Britvic has rights to sell pepsi max so thought may be ok.
Poor Market but a very nice price. I have been in and out of Britvic many times and it never disappoints ! Never be to hasty.
Markets are selling companies like this as current high inflation is likely to squeeze margins. Same with Unilever. If market continues selling the sector then some bargains will appear soon
The broker downgrade at one point today momentarily pushed the share price down by over 7%.
Short term there are headwinds but it’s a quality company selling strong brands.
Anyway, managed to snuffle a few sub 845p.
Agree with BPat890. Not sure why the sp has taken such a knock, but nearly 10% down so I think I'll be topping up first thing tomorrow without necessarily waiting for it to drop below the psychologically important 900 mark. HGV driver lack may slow sales but not the underlying demand for products. I think it looks like a cracking buy now.
Britvic (LON:BVIC) is a FTSE 250 share that could benefit from a reopening of the UK economy. The beverages company has experienced a challenging period during Covid-19, with falling consumption in the hospitality and on-the-go segments causing a 6% decline in underlying revenue in the first half of its current financial year.
However, the firm recently reported encouraging trading as lockdown measures have eased. It has also moved to simplify its operations, while making market share gains in the UK and other key countries such as Brazil. It has also engaged in M&A activity, while entering new product categories such as the energy drinks segment in the UK.
Trading on a forward price-earnings ratio of 23.5, Britvic could offer good value for money based on a forecast growth in earnings per share of around 30% next year.
Gosh, I return to my post near 2 years after I wrote. Like seeing a footprint of a younger self on a remote beach.... Well pandemic aside this ain't done much, still holding, considering jettisoning them......
I sold my holding yesterday at what I believe is a temporary peak. I’m happy to see a drop this morning to validate my timing. May buy in again at the next drop. GLA DYOR
Great to see these starting to creep back upto were they should be, it’s a strong company that’s gave me some great returns over the years
Thursday 28th January.
"Since Britvic floated in 2005, we have consistently returned capital to shareholders through our progressive dividend policy, which is a core part of our capital allocation. Following the prudent position taken at interims to defer the decision on the dividend until later in the year, the Board is recommending a final dividend of 21.6 pence per share, with a total value of £57.7m, maintaining our 50% pay-out policy. The final dividend for 2020 will be paid on 3 February 2021 to shareholders on record as at 18 December 2020. The ex-dividend date is 17 December 2020."
From Dividend data web site...
The ex-dividend date is the date which is used to decide which shareholders will receive a dividend payment. Shareholders who own shares in the company before the market opens on the ex-dividend date will receive a dividend payment. Shares bought on or after the ex-dividend date will not qualify for the dividend.
I am confused, almost as much as Britvics "Generate fuel for growth through efficiency". I thought they made pop?
Due out tomorrow;. I believe they will be satisfactory considering the problems caused by the pandemic. We shall see but still a good company in which to invest .
Trading in line with expectations
Been in bvic since post covid. Hoping their umbrella will come good again. Bleak for now but what in the market is not. Holding this and DGE in drinks section of PF and relaxed as can be as will always be a demand. Just rocky times pulling it back. Lets hope we see febs numbers again when things sort themselves out.kr.
