Good then. Compare and contrast. Lol. Aye, extra time, 1-0 down, the Swedes having no excuses to lose this match, so it's time for them to work more efficiently and get the job done!
is probably directed as much at the inertia ridden Swedish government as it is investors. Finland 1 Swedes 0 and we are well into extra time!
Nothing positive we seem to do in Finland is currently reflected in the sp, which is a great pity, but it's at least good to note that we are busy at work on the ground again and doing what we all like to see. We do need Kallak news though, which surely can't be too far away. I'm sure Kurt is doing all that he can to remind the Swedes of their responsibilities in this permit process. As Pocko mentions, we have now waited another year plus for a decision, because of an election that occurred last September. We all know how ridiculous this is, and so must the Swedes. Let's see what the new minister can do then. Another month perhaps, and that must surely be long enough. Three months grace. Good luck all.
I think bar an outright refusal to grant the licence, which I still don't see as likely based on the facts (For what they are worth), we are already at 'worst case scenario'. We are nearing the point of waiting 6-years for a licence, which should, if my memory serves me well, and it does, should have taken "6-9 months".
As for Allies, I'm hearing a lot of chatter, but little else.
Yes, now you're giving voice to our worst case scenario but it does stretch credibility and the PM has stated that these matters Kallak and Laver are being prepared. And Mr Budge is not alone, he has allies is high places batting for us. Tomorrow then. :-)
Which also means that 'it doesn't matter who extracts it', or indeed even 'when', which puts us at an extreme disadvantage. The Swedish government has done untold financial damage to BEM without even trying. Imagine if it did...
Based on the facts, I don't envisage a 'no', but since when have the facts got in the way of the decision-making process?
Does anyone seriously think that after all this time they are going to say No, you can't do any mining in that particular spot. Remember, Mr Damberg said iron is where it is, which means it doesn't have any legs.
In trying to understand Swedish governments, never assume they are stupid because they aren't like us. ( mind you our own government is a puzzle to anybody) They have always been good soldiers and they value their independence.
For an insight into the Swedish intellect and government volte face, try "How Sweden cracked the Nazi Code - World War II Documentary" on u tube. With sub titles thank goodness. You will also be able to pick up an excellent Swedish accent.
The point is that 1 clever Swede with paper and pencil cracked Enigma before either the Poles, British or French, who all helped each other.
Have to admit that for sometime now, I have regarded Beowulf as a graphite investment.
Enjoy the documentary, probably best viewed late in the evening with an open sandwich and some schnapps.
True... but that cash will soon be burnt through. Admittedly it was a grant, and so therefore at no cost to the company. I just feel that we should be focussed on delivering Kallak. This time last year, Budge suggested that the elections in September 2018 would delay our application; And it did. We are now 2-months into a new government... what’s the excuse now?
Pocko...At least the company got some encouragement in the form of cash from the Finns.
Pocko....A
The process is no more likely to be quicker in either Kosovo or Finland... We need an update on Kallak, and whether he likes it or not, it’s Budge’ responsibility to deliver that update.
Like Aug I've also lost sight of the facts....but I think we could be producing graphite before iron...sad though it is to see this continuing delay from the Swedes.
Mention the E word:
"Playing a committed role in projects such as BATCircle, Fennoscandian is well-positioned to become a future supplier to the European Lithium Ion Battery market."
Morning. TheFarEnd, “cash burn” are we not using ‘grant’ money in the way it was intended? I have forgotten the facts. atb
Agreed, it always has been about Kallak, without Kallak today's M cap would be less than 20% of what it is now IMO.
Although it can be good to diversify, and Budge has tried to achieve this and we must be seen to make progress.
But this will only increase the cash burn while waiting for a decision that never comes.
It’s years away... it’s good news, and shows that the company is active, but still years away. It’s all about Kallak.
Beowulf (AIM: BEM; Spotlight: BEO), the Nordic focused mineral exploration and development company, is pleased to announce that drilling, targeting both higher-grade mineralisation and high-priority geophysical anomalies, has started at its Aitolampi graphite project in Finland ("Aitolampi"). Aitolampi is part of the Company's 100% owned Exploration Permit Pitkäjärvi 1.
The drill plan includes seven holes for an approximate total of 1,040 metres ("m"). Four holes, 620m of drilling, are planned to test potential higher-grade mineralised zones to the south-east of drill hole AITDD18018 (completed in 2018 and which intersected 92.5m at 6.19% Total Graphitic Carbon ("TGC")). The three remaining holes will target high-priority geophysical anomalies untested by previous drilling. The drilling contract has been awarded to the Finnish contractor, Northdrill Oy.
The drilling programme will also generate sample material to support baseline environmental studies for Aitolampi, for graphite purification and spheroidization testwork, and the further assessment of Aitolampi graphite for battery applications as part of the Business Finland funded BATCircle Project.
"I am pleased that our exploration team is back in the field, and that we are again working with the Finnish contractor Northdrill at Aitolampi, as we seek to add higher-grade mineralisation to our existing resource.
"In 2018, Fennoscandian delivered a JORC compliant mineral resource estimate for Aitolampi, and in 2019 we are focused on further developing a 'resource footprint' of natural flake graphite in Finland that can provide 'security of raw material supply' and enable the country to achieve its ambition of self-sufficiency in battery manufacturing.
"I look forward to making further updates on our progress".
Yes Sooz, we must continue to try and stay on the up. x
Lol.
Agreed, Eric, it isn't a long time to be in post. :-)
About the other thing I'm saying nowt...for the moment anyway. Lol
Hi Sooz. Yes, it shouldn't be too long before we hear something, but the new minister still hasn't really had a lot of time in his post, so not sure if Kurt can yet tell us anything meaty.
Morning Gentlemen. Nearing two months now since the government took office, but whose counting...must be time for some sort of statement.
