Well, the Finnish PFS started in January and expects to be finished in H1, which only means "before July". So, a PFS takes around five-six months to finish, which would mean Q4 for Kallak if it's started in Q2.
In Q4 there's also the Sami appeal (with a hearing a week before Q4) and the environmental application (and also perhaps test drilling with completion of analysis) so pretty much a waiting period for Kallak in the coming months.
Perhaps some action from Finland and Kosovo in the meantime, but yeah, not too much happening around the flagship project within the next six months. In my humble opinion of course.

Sorry folks, but we’re in for the dullest 2 years (minimum) as there’s nothing that Kurt can do to lift the sp contrary to his stupid smiling promise to bring value to shareholders at the last video interview. The publishing of PFS and even the submission of the environmental impact won’t make a difference as they still don’t change the fundamentals. BEM won’t produce anything until 2026/7 and that’s assuming the government don’t stall things to offer more appeals to the Sami!
Drilling KS should have been a priority years ago and it’s not a given that he can bundle it together as the current permit does not include KS.
We might as well mothball this BB for 24 months minimum…Kurt’s got his cash…he’ll continue to w6nk it away until the next fundraise.
The market might play a game walking to sp between 1.5p and 3p but let’s be honest, with well over a billion shares in play and f&@k all changing, there’s nothing to get excited about.
Kurt’s never been known for sharing a hard and fast timeline, less sticking to what he does put out there. We could all walk away from this board for a year or two and f&@k all would change…look back over the history of BEM…it opened at 5p in 2005 and here we are heading to our 20th birthday at 1.8p CSP must be chuckling!!!
Andy you are right, but early news of it commencing would be better than say if we received news in June that it’s only just begun. We need some momentum to be built here. So it’s important from that point of view. I won’t be happy if it’s late Q2.
Yep, the delivery of the PFS will be interesting (whenever that'll be), but the kick off of it in Q2 isn't, in my opinion.
Yes, thanks SJ.
It is a major inflection point and is project feasibility, that without won't allow us to Move to Bankable feasibility study and ultimately get the finance decision. So it is pretty big and will make strategic investors sit up the further we move along.
Andy, yes, Kurt seemed excited about Kosovo, but I hope he doesn’t give them too much money. After the fundraise not bringing in as much cash as he anticipated, surely it’s more appropriate now to focus on the assets that we do know exist and can be commercial, i.e. on our Finland and Sweden projects. We should be hearing more about the Finland PFS as well. Let’s face it, we need as much detailed, positive news as we can get.
Andy, re the PFS not being that interesting. It should be. I’d like to see it commence soon into Q2 rather than at the end. Taken from the 25 January RNS:
“Major value inflection points for Kallak North is the delivery of a Pre-feasibility Study, planned to commence in Q2 2023, and an application for the environmental permit due to be submitted in Q4 2023. While for Kallak South, further drilling could see the conversion of the current Exploration Target to Mineral Resources. A future agreement with a green steel producer is another possible value driver.”
Budgie is saying the KN PFS “is” a major value inflection point.
Well, we'll see - looks like there's still drilling to be done in Kosovo (sounds like it from the last interview), and if there's a hit there the possibility of spinning it off would be pleasant to us.
The scoping study was supposed to be one of the so called inflection points and yet the SP never broke stride from it’s steady decline.
I don’t see the PFS being any different.
If only the Kosovo money had been drilling the chuff out of Kallak these past 3 years.
Shocking decision priorities, in my opinion.
No it isn't, but it represents progress which is sadly lacking across all projects.
The PFS isn't all that interesting in my opinion, I'm waiting for the drilling in the other Kallak areas to begin.
And when that's completed we need to wait for the analysis of the results and all of a sudden it's Christmas again.
No need to be here every day, things move too slow for that.
The little fuker.
He wasn't vague with his payrise though... That was SMART.
Cricket, we are waiting for news of a PFS commencing on our flagship project at Kallak, but it will be sometime in Q2, the CEO hasn’t mentioned more precisely when in Q2.
That sums it up with a lot of the news here, loose timescales. The momentum is lacking as well though because the CEO decided to whip the carpet from under what was the sp, by giving a 46% discount to the prevailing sp on the last fundraise offer shares. So it hasn’t recovered, the news being as it is.
If you have a barge pole, a suggestion would be not to even pick it up.
It seems like the RNS flow rates are underwhelming, hence the limited sp movement. Is this right/ what’s the view.
Thanks Manro. I’ll take a look just to see how they go.
Good luck to you.
It's pity, Eric, because just now MATD is really great investment opportunity. And an other one possibility and object for consideration is PANR.
Just have a look and make some research.
All the best.
Hi Manro. No, I’m still only in this and KEN (formerly BMR). I don’t have any money to buy MATD but wish you well.
Well done Alan! You are clever man who was able to recognise a very good advice and take perfect decision!
Eric, I hope you are also in PM. If not do it!
Atb.
Good that Alan. I saw it drop a bit the other day to mid-3p area, so nice to see it’s up again for all involved. Still awaiting the LP I believe, but looks like it will be coming sooner rather than later, after shareholders have endured such a long wait.
Best of luck with it.
Eric very good update from MATD this morning and it’s on the way up ,I’ve a nice profit building up , let’s hope it spreads here, good luck
