A third of the way through what Budge promised would be ( another ) busy and exciting year and zero progress other than a partially successful fundraise.
" I'm alright Jack " says Budge as he pulls the duvet back over his head.
16 RNS' in the run up to the cash call. 1 since then about an interview. So much for the news flow to increase the SP. Left scratching for news flow again. The Kurt Leopard can't seem to change his spots! What a surprise!
I like that Maddy.
a couple of bad apples and you have got a pear"
Hi SJ. Yes, should be a fair amount of news to come before too long. Thought we may have an interim update from Finland re PFS, that’s all. Probably not though, as you say, mid-year, once it’s done. Hopefully sparks will fly before long, in a good way. Lol. I’d be happy if Kosovo was spun away, as it’s been too costly for us, on the face of it.
PFS Finland along with the business/production plan should be with us by mid year ish according to Kurt.so June onwards. The PFS for kallak should be starting any day now. And I suspect Vardar news will be forthcoming re spin off or drill campaign.
Even a bit of blue is lovely. We may have news soon too, you never know. PFS at Finland should be three months in by now.
I’m liking this calmer bb.
And thar she blows, a nice bit of blue. :-)
Afty Eric, me old seagull. x
Mornin’ me old bird. Lol.
That would be handy.
Yes, Eric, and I think we'll need at least two and of the magic flying ones. :-)
Knowing our luck we’d only get one reindeer for the entire operation.
Good idea, less emissions, heavy machinery etc. Will probably be included in the PFS as an alternative solution :)
Couldn’t the reindeer carry the ore?
SJ, it should work out well, and it’ll be repeatedly seen and noted that we are trying to be accommodating for all. The potential job creation of around 700 or more jobs is a massive boost for the area. That surely will eventually come more to the forefront.
As Sooz says, we might have to keep taking the tablets to get ourselves through the tricky parts. Lol.
Puppy was a little menace, but in a good way. Played for hours then crashed asleep.
So did the puppy.
Sooz, problem cake. Lol. Nah, lob some sherry in, sounds better than gin for taste. Or you could perhaps do both, a ****tail! Doesn’t matter what rude people think.
Afty. x
Thanks Eric...I was out all day yesterday... nice lot of details and it;s looking like as you say we can handle it, especially if we keep taking the tablets. Soon be May, glorious May. Must say I'm not looking forward to this Coronation much and having to make a cake for the Crown Jewels Competition. I don't like unhealthy decoration, I shall have to put my mind to something natural and good to eat...maybe a little bit of home made marzipan at a push, I mix it with sherry instead of raw egg because I'm not keen on raw egg. Cross sherry out and think gin, more fashionable and I wouldn't want our critical friend to know I've bought sherry because he'd use it against me.
No probs Eric, sounds like you've had your hands full. Yep the more work we do, and community consultations BEM are doing this year the more it will feed into the hearings next year when it counts. Just need to get this PFS started now..
Hi SJ. Sorry for the late reply, have been dogsitting a puppy since early eve, just back now. Yes, the hybrid combo should work well for us, to get the ball rolling. Good news re the timescale for the Dannemora mine permit. Hoping ours will be a similar timeframe then, which will do nicely. Much of the enviro groundwork has been done with our bulletproof concession application, so we already have a strong base to start with.
Soon be May already. Not long until 2026. Lol.
SJ, we can handle it.
Nice Eric. So probably a hybrid of trucking and rail until the rail infrastructure is upgraded. Fingers crossed our permit runs smoothly. On the enviro permit, the dannemora mine are expecting their enviro permit main hearing in middle of May and a decision. That would be 10-11 months from application.
I know it's a big IF but that could be us next year! Looking positively.
SJ, yes and the 28 February Unaudited Prelim Results RNS mentions that the Scoping Study included in the design considerations ‘existing’ infrastructure.
“The Scoping Study has included the following design considerations to minimise negative environmental and social impacts:
· Assessment of alternative tailings storage facility locations to reduce surface footprint and potential community health risks.
· Fully electric mining and concentrate transport fleet from start-up of operations, including trolley-assisted charging. This will take advantage of the low-intensity greenhouse gas emissions of the Swedish national grid, dominated by hydroelectric power and wind.
· Optimisation of the pit to balance value from extracted ore with waste rock production, not simply focussed on maximising profitability. This has minimised the surface footprint of the planned waste rock dumps along with post-processed tailings waste.
· Concentrate transport route planned to avoid the Laponia World Heritage site to the north.
· Concentrate transport using battery electric heavy good's vehicles and existing rail infrastructure.
· Abatements around the pit crest to reduce noise, dust and visual impacts.”
So just part of his name was missing. Sorry about all that.
Where it says “Otto Nils” in the first post, it got cut short and should say this:
“…..It's 2023 now and everyone knows that inflation has affected prices. We will make a revision of the calculation because it will be more expensive than 9 billion, says Otto Nilsson, CEO of Inlandsbanan.
How big are the cost increases?
- I do not know. I dare not comment on that. But you only have to go to the store and buy a pack of Bregott and you understand that quite a lot has happened, he says.
Before the Riksdag election last fall, the Moderates promised that the state would lend the nine billion that was then required to equip the Inlandsbanan. A year later, it is dead quiet about the financing of the refurbishment.
In February this year, Otto Nilsson had a meeting with representatives of the Moderates.
- Of course I didn't expect them to say "now it's done, we'll send the money". But they are working on that issue and anchoring it with their partners in the government, that sounded very positive.
Today, it is possible to run freight traffic on the Inlandsbanan on an extremely limited scale. To handle Jokkmokk Iron's heavy ore transports, the railway needs to handle 22.5 tons.
- Between Arvidsjaur and Gällivare we only have a carrying capacity of 20 tons. You may think that 2.5 tons is not much, but it actually makes up 20 percent of what you can load, explains Otto Nilsson.
Nice, thanks. Didn't think it would delay mining operations as they would have to truck initially anyway for at least a few years. 2026, come on!!!
Thanks for the link Andy.
:-)
