More good news
I have not read the research from Bank of America, but press writings (which tend to be a broad roundup of professional opinion) seem to align their confidence in a future share price direction and broadly optimistic.
Typical research source will include Citywire. Recent publication includes https://citywire.com/wealth-manager/news/stock-talk-bae-systems-dunelm-ds-smith-mobico-and-onthebeach/a2442182?re=119939&ea=1674215
Yes, I read that article ‘seven income stocks to put on your radar’. I don’t intend selling anytime soon.
Good old Bofa!
The current edition of IC has an article in the Financial Planning section that cites BAE, which has evolved from a dividend favourite to a growth stock rather initiated by the Ukraine invasion. The article argues that profits are likely to be strong for an extended period and either will drive future dividends or be split to dividends and share buybacks.
Yield, the article notes for new investors is likely to be in region of 4% whereas those who bought before 2022 are heading for a sustainable almost double digit return to expect payouts rise to beat inflation for at least the next decade.
While Merrill Lynch Bank of America has changed its stance, I have not read the research to understand why the guidence has been given for the "downgrade". As ever, investors should undertake their own research, but as far as I am concerned, I am happier buying shares in BAE today than I would be in selling them.
Imho that rerating is rubbish. Bae has a full order book and with the current state of the world orders are just going to keep coming. Again imho the SP will hit £20 .
Buy on the very few dips that occur in the SP
The rating drop is counter-intuitive. Ignore!
Agree BB, RHM is a beast. Plus, there is a lot of rumours about them and Thyssen-Krupp teaming up in some capacity. Thyssen-Krupp is another arms company that people should keep an eye out for. Its been a bit volatile past few months but is currently still way undervalued. If Rheinmentall do form a arms consortium of sorts, then definitely expect Thyssen-Krupp to be involved. Those shells won't make themselves.
Buy! Rheinmetall results out tomorrow and will boost BAE.
Bank of America cuts BAE Systems to 'neutral' (buy) - price target 1,425 (1,385) pence
And we have a 3% drop!
Would be nice to close over 1400 but there may be some profit taking in the short term. Anyway, all time high and, with commitment for spending in place no reason for doubt on future sp direction.
On the days when there are dips in the SP. Trend line is continuously upwards for BA.
Alas smith and jones...comedy
Total voring rights
Now 188,797,541 was 200,421,790 down not up 11,624,249 or 155million at todays price
Now at 188,797,541 at 13.34 comes to 2.5 billion
Sigh....
Weak pound is GOOD for UK exporters as most international goods are priced in dollars
Unsure due to FTSE hitting 8000, and the issues in Gaza and Ukraine etc all settling down on the news, whether investors would have appetite to buy BA over oilies or riskier assets.
The weaker pound will be hitting BAE I’m thinking …
Good with squirrels tho
More likely that Labour will not commit to the 2.5% GDP spending when in office.
Ask a simple question, get a reply from a simpleton !

Government published this detailing the extensive aid and military investment of the UK.
"Building on the historic UK-Ukraine Security Agreement, marking the start of a 100-year alliance, we are committing
to provide at least the current level of support to Ukraine until the end of the decade or for as long as required."

Err can someone tell me how they are still doing a share buyback
200421790 at last total there still buying at 13.785 that's 2.762 billion a bit above the 1.5 they are meant to max out even with the large 1 billion trade
Now max shares 305567916 at 1.5 billion is 4.9 per share or when this started
Err what the heck
