Is now over. We need some real news tomorrow otherwise we'll be back to square one. Some sale news maybe?
My Luck, did you manage to get in on Friday after we bottomed?
Definition of ‘square one’ is his/her entry point, no doubt.
Hi jc. Yes I manged to get in. Fortunately have an extra 1300 shares with the risk I took. I must admit Ive called a few wrong but I've traded these covid shares long enough to see the pattern. There was a sp netscientific plc this last time last year. It went up 150ish percent in one day. Made a fortune in less than 24 hours. You should try it
The SP is up over 45 pence in the last day and a half of trading and ended the week rising strongly.
The main competition is dead in the water.
Now approved in both UK and EU.
We were told that delays to approval wouldn’t affect sales suggesting advanced negotiations.
I’d suggest sentiment is pretty strong right now!!!!!!!
This is a really strange day for me.
To explain I am a Scottish football fan.
We have travelled from the "Beat the World" hubris of 1978 through the puzzling stage when a team of world beaters never lived up to its potential then the depths of despondency when despite the awareness we were pants our team nevertheless would flatter to deceive while finding ever more imaginative ways to pluck defeat from the jaws of victory and yet here we are and the question on every Scots fans lips is "What if...……"
Then as an AVCT investor this is also a day when we are on the cusp...……
Its the same question on our lips but as an AVCT investor asked not wistfully but with a sense of confidence and expectation.
@sleepy - what would you take now?
5% increase in SP
Win against Czech Rep
scardey….. you mean for today?
Absolutely no doubt!
The latter!
The SP will take care of itself
I knew this would happen. And I said it. I will say this. If no news this week. This will drop further to the amounts before the Fridays rise.
11:07 am
That's what time we had the last RNS. Point been that an RNS can drop at ANYTIME. May not be today may not be tomorrow who the feck knows but its 9:45 on Monday ffs and again they can drop ANYTIME. Give the doom and gloom a rest and enjoy the sun.
Global..... is that you?
MyLuck, you're a genius. Ever thought of applying to CNBC for a slot?
Agreed especially as the UK now going to be extending Freedom day by another 4 weeks!! Our test here can't come soon enough!!!
You'd think Friday's RNS would be a warning not to trade this share, but no. The stupidity is breathtaking.
Cinder, do you follow TA? ( I ask because many "traders" do.)
That said though the same has happened so many times here and probabilities are that anyone who has the balls/luck/knowledge to trade this (not me) will make a few quid or gain a few extra shares
Technical analysis is trading for dummies. Technology has democratised share trading so you have people treating it like a casino - that's why you see these wild daily swings.
I think the most significant thing for the SP right now, is the 'battle royal' that will be playing out in the background between MHRA & UK govt re: Innova EUA extension. The ramifications of a 'NO' from MHRA are humungous for the govt. Think about it, overnight they would have to stop offering free tests, they'd have to instruct people to bin any unused tests they have at home, they'd have instruct businesses to stop using them. That's why MHRA needed this 'timely' FDA report.
Cinders, its exactly the reason TA can be so helpful because it reflects peoples emotional swings when they see the SP move.
That's why you will sometimes get MM, to prey on an expected reaction when the price is artificially moved.
Its long known that many Pi's buy at the top and sell at the bottom. Why do you think that is? (or maybe you don't think that?)
I can vouch for that bcause I'm an expert at doing it! Even after the increase on Friday, I was still making a slight loss on Avacta. However, I think I'm finally forcing myself not to go into panic mode and sell at the wrong time!
That’s why I wouldn’t be surprised to see an extension, say three months, whilst they transition to another rebadged misused test from chin-ah such as Healgen or Excalibur. They’d have to have confidence in the supply chain for a sovereign test. Not sure where Surescreen and the Toyota engineers are up to in the scale up, there’s TT to consider. We know ODX aren’t churning anything out. From our perspective, not sure how the GAD stockpile is looking, haven’t heard more on our TT to BBI and ABDX - both of whom aren’t impressed with the govt. It’s a desperate shame for British biotech and a shocking situation, but it looks like the EU is the best route to market.
I’d say the best way to win on the market is to use buffets advice, find good strong companies and invest in them to the point you will never sell them. Let the markets play their games, but overtime, if the company is a good company, run by competent CEO’s with a strong product, the returns will be good.
In relation to Avacta, AS is certainly transforming into a competent CEO, and afffimers are likely to be a successful product, for these reasons, I find it hard to omit Avacta out of this investing strategy and ignore the trading noise.
Yes wyndrum, traders prey on peoples emotions. I find it difficult being a trader when I am an investor, you are a confessed trader.
@PL. That's exactly the compromise I'm expecting, 3 months extension with some wording to the effect of 'no more renewals after that'. Glad you said it, I was a bit afraid of being lynched!
@Wyndrum
All these TA traders must be millionaires. Fact is, none of them are. How many times you been to a casino and some jerk tells you they have a system? They actually believe it too. Only serious investors make serious money - there are no shortcuts.
