Nobody likes a raise and dilution but this one is relativly sensible I think.

Raising at 70 seems a better option than repayment in shares at 48p and 65p and I guess it helps strengthen the books before the data readout at the end of june (hopefully)

So my 2p for anyone who gives a $hit - Annoying but sensible raise (not like they made a bonkers decision to raise to buy another diagnostic or something stupid like that)

I dont understand the infactuation with Richard Hughes. He has been around Avacta in some form for a long time (Medusa, Saturn Pass, Zeus) I am pretty sure he has done alright out of avacta over the past 6 years+ (didnt he have shares in the 20s at one point?) and my guess is will continue to do alright regardless of what does / does not happen (good or bad news there is no doubt he does, and has known before any of us). He is after all a businessman who wants to make money so I dont read too much into the chairman appointment , he will make money regardless I imagine.

Pretty good RNS it seems to me but seems the market maybe wanted more or had already baked it in?

My point was about how this reads in the context of the CEO’s comments about “new data at two conferences”.

I never at any point said the full dataset had already been released did I? I said the abstract itself looked more like matured existing data than the kind of major new-data teaser many were expecting.

If next week proves otherwise, brilliant , I will be happy. But I don’t think that was an unreasonable view from the abstract alone.

Anyway done arguing with patronising pricks for today (not aimed at you harChris) have to go and get BBQ food for the first BBQ of the year before the shelves are emptied.

To me, “new data at two conferences H1” implied something with a bit more meat on it. I have to admit im slightly disappointed there doesn’t seem to be more meat to it, but it’s Avacta… we wait, maybe they surprise us (unlikely)

Before you get battered for that post Rich, and you will, Ill say my 2p. A lot of fair points I thought in there that cant really be argued with (not making money, CLN overhang etc) but hardly a balanced post.

The science and picture has improved a lot over the past few months.

AVA6103 has moved into the clinic.

AVA6000 got the lifetime dose limit removed in trial after favourable safety.

The recent raise means we are less likely to be forced into desperate financing before the next meaningful readout.

Dont agree with the priniting shares to service debt either thats getting into deramper territory. They are using equity financing to support ongoing R&D because they are not yet self-funding. Is that not the case with most Bios at this stage?

True that does mean there is a dilution risk. (None of us are that stupid to deny it I dont think.... actually there may be a couple of clowns) but “burning cash in a vacuum” is not entirely accurate. It is burning cash while moving two assets and a platform forward IMHO

Literally broke yearly highs yesterday and is still above that now and 1.5% down for today. You are worse than the rampers much worse and you are not very good at it.

I guess what I am saying is shut up and f*** off we dont need or want morons like you here and I think on that most of us even those that dont like each other very much will universally agree.

May get close to £1 but doubt it goes over can see it hovering in the 90-100 range for a while with £1 been a massive pshycological hurdle that does not get properly broken without some solid news (which will hopefully come in the next few weeks)

Patience as always

Lots of people got excited as the share price went up dreaming of the lambo on their drive and then guess what it goes back down again as is typical Avacta. Just wish I had the balls to trade it as this is a pattern avacta have repeated all too often.

Ill continue to wait until the summer before getting excited ;-)
