C&B
Fulham (A), Liverpool (H), Villa (A), Spurs (A) in the Cup....I shall be watching from behind the sofa, I reckon.
I shall be at Turf Moor though for the Luton game when the great escape will begin. (Don't worry, I know I'm deluded).
‘ and any pleasant posters I have forgotten!’
Thank you for your kind words Precious John and on that basis I would like to invite Commie Joe and yourself for Christmas drinks here this weekend ;-)
Old Joe can bring some of his bottles of ‘ jus de l'oeil brun’ that has previously been mentioned on here. I did stop drinking alcohol last NYE so will not be able to join you in Joe’s own fantastic refreshment, but I’m sure it has a sweet crimson tangy taste to it.
Now I propose moving onto the first pub, The Staff of Life.
https://ibb.co/vcmgj1b
Unfortunately I will not be able to join Commie Joe and yourself, but it is a great entry point to thrust you into the nightlife.
I then propose we/you move onto the next pub, the Man in Space,
https://ibb.co/GFtZrhK
I am sure by this point of the night the pair of you will be spinning around in a different orbit. There is also an extra special surprise as the friendly proctologist Dr Albert Chung and the wonder urologist Dr Rena Malik will be joining you for Christmas Drinkies in your orbits. I am sure Commie John has a little topic he can discuss with Dr Chung in confidence and maybe yourself with Dr Malik. What happens in the Man in Space remains in the Man in Space and I believe they have a private function room for such occasions. Fnar Fnar.
I am sure you will have a great night and re-entry into this small planet will just simply be unbearable for you lofty pair.
Woof Woof .
Good post Stranger, good summation. Do hope that any significant discoveries are sold into Zenit on an individually negotiated basis and not this blanket 3x exploration cost (I think that's correct) if they are significant deposits.
Happy Christmas to you, Van, the Burnley Boys (good luck with Fulham and Liverpool), DJ, 4kandles, Shortarm and any pleasant posters I have forgotten!
Good points SS
I remember reading an article how oil companies will have to adapt like tobacco companies did to keep their SP at a premium by paying out bumper dividends, I can also see this carrying across to the mining sector.
Since this ESG folly, green communism and climate fraud has made interest in owning mining shares diminish, there needs to be a dividend paid out.
Have a good festive period SS, you are about the only other voice of common sense here ;-)
I think that next year will be a good one for Ariana investors.
Zenit - Zenit is now in that sweet spot with a producing mine, a mine in development and some exciting future prospects to give a long-term future as a gold producer. Zenit will not be sold off nor will it sell Salinbas to another gold producer. The price of gold will stabilise at over $2,000 per oz as interest rates drop over the next couple of years. I hope Ariana will not sell its share in Zenit unless it is offered a really high price. Zenit should give an income stream for Ariana for many years to come.
Venus Minerals – The IPO will go ahead. In November Venus Minerals was changed from a private company to a PLC, a move necessary to float Venus. It looks like there will be an increasing shortage of copper in the future which should give a good lift to the price in the medium to long term.
The investments through Western Tethyan and Asgard Metals should give the opportunity to either sell the prospects at a profit or develop prospects in conjunction with third parties (such as Proccea) to give long term growth prospects.
My wish for next year is for Ariana to develop a dividend policy to return a proportion of the profit from Zenit to shareholders whilst retaining enough to carry on developing new prospects. CAML has done this very successfully. CAML’s policy is to return between 30% and 50% of free cash flow to investors whilst retaining the rest for future investment.
I hope that everyone has a great Christmas and that next year is a good one.
Hi LoB, and seasons greetings to you also, and all the other regulars on here, although its very quiet these days. I'm hoping 2024 is a better year for AAU with the opening of Tavsan. Back to the important issue of football, Fulham away on Saturday and Liverpool on Boxing day brings the curtain down on a very mixed year for AAU's favourite team.
...and a happy Christmas to the usual stalwarts on here (John, C&B, VanVan, DJ etc). Let's hope AAU can turn a corner in 2024 and bring us a little joy in the new year.
Just read the past days posts on the other board and see that Konil had already made the point about Apliki appearing on the Cyprus slide. I would point out that myself and Konil and I are not one and the same, I'm sure he wouldn't want to be associated with a buffoon like me!
Hi VanVan
Yes, sad that this board has fallen pretty well into disuse!
It hasn't been a great year, at least as measured by the SP, but then again no disasters either. I initially didn't like the idea of Zimbabwe but as long as the investment there is paid for in services as much as it is in cash (my understanding) then it could be lucrative provided the political risk doesn't rear its head - maybe I'm being glass half full but the country became such an example of a basket case that maybe it is changing, voluntarily or because it has no option. We should remember how successful the mining was in the past in Southern Rhodesia which is where I understand Zimbabwe now occupies .
The Venus IPO has become a standing joke and I'm sure many (including me) suspect it's a blind alley that AAU shouldn't have turned into. But we are there now and you have to summon your inner Maigret with their presentations - I did notice Apliki appearing on the diagram during the BBR interview which gives me some hope.
Personally I don't see dividends in 2024, more like 2025 when the Tavsan operation is ramped up and the processing proven. I have no doubt regular dividends will commence. Unlike some on the other board I think a dividend stream will add to the attraction of the share in the market.
I feel the same as you about Hizzy (I wont try to spell it). I'm not hopeful because by all accounts nothing is certain there yet and it seems very, very deep. Again like you I'd like to see added value from exploration followed by capitalising, because otherwise I cant see any value there for me in my lifetime!
John
Happy Christmas John & other posters.
Don’t post here much these days, as it been pretty depressing but i really think 2024 is going to be different. I will be delighted if the regular dividend gets announced and Hizzy is proved to be a second Hot Maden. I expect that to be sold off alongside other assets which proved up, all resulting in special payouts to shareholders. You can see i have very rose tainted glasses. But one can hope at this time of good cheer. Good luck everyone. Have a great healthy Christmas. Thanks for all the valuable contributions.
Saw the RNS which was encouraging for dividends, and thought the interview was ok, note that Venus is now next year!
Happy Christmas Van Van
Kerim in the RNS
"We are currently working on revisions to our geological model based on the new data, which will ultimately contribute to a revised Mineral Resource Estimate. This in turn will be used to update production and development plans during Q1 2024, and we remain on track for first gold from Tavsan during Q2 2024."
Very exciting RNS this morning. Paid for Tavsan, the second gold mine, is on schedule to start production in Q2 and this should mean dividends are in sight. Also drill results indicate an expended LofM. What a great time for Starvest shareholders to come by their AAU shares.

Well todays RNS is a welcome Christmas present and very encouraging for 2024, I’m a happy man to be holding here, there is more to the upside.
And when I read this,
‘The mineralised jasperoid developed along the thrust contact is irregular in form’
I thought I was reading about old Commie Joe’s ‘roids, maybe we need to confer with the latest cast member in the pantomime of comedic endeavours, the friendly proctologist Dr Albert Chung!
I’m sure he is gentle,
https://ibb.co/XYzpgxp
Ho Ho Ho, he is behind you, literally.
Hi John, nice to hear from you & your kind Wishes for Christmas & Year 2024 are reciprocated to yours and most folk on this chatline.
Winter is here...still sunny but very frosty dawns. The world news speaks for itself but there is strong support growing over here by younger voters, especially " Progressives" for UN & European efforts on the Gaza " War". Netanyahu needs to be ousted asap and US funding re-appraised.
I see AAU is not gaining and there are some larger sell offs today. Our tax year ends 31 December which will be very useful since I got out some months ago.
‘ Makes me laugh’
She stood there laughing ha ha ha, even she had the consideration to think of you this time of year.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_3l5CGEEU0
It’s just like old times on here and a bit of comedy rekindles your bromance, so touching.
Don't know why you bother DJ. I filtered it years ago, Makes me laugh that I think it's that twat who puts a comment, presumably derisory, each and every time I post (which is seldom these days). Doesn't it have the intelligence to realise that insulting someone who has filtered you is ineffectual and a waste of its time?
Merry Christmas and Happy New year DJ to you and yours.
I don't have the slightest problem, Deano, with the bodily areas or functions you persistently keep attributing to your " chums" on here. mentioning on here. I had it right a long time ago. You are a troll and a nutter and quite frankly a total pain in the same place you rattle on about most of your time. Enough is enough and so I have put my blocking back on your mentally perverted drivel.
‘to shove up’
Well if that is your problem I’m here to help you with your situation,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=UKH8hPwwGXE
Woof Woof, too funny ha ha ha ha!
For your stocking filler, you need a nice plutonium masteroid to shove up where the sun doesn't shine, buddy. And by the way, I dislike dogs, Poof, poof! As Wm Shakespeare wrote..."Beware the Ides of March". Et tu, Trumpus
It is that time of year when I think of my best two chums on here and what to get them for their Xmas stocking fillers,
So for Commie Joe,
https://ibb.co/nc6hq3p
and for my fave chum of all, Dear John the most precious,
https://ibb.co/Pm9JgWX
and hopefully you can both share this one,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CP-NSUuORDY
Have a Merry Festive period chums and Happy New Year!
Woof Woof Woof Woof!
Oh no you again on here moaning as usual,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Eso3odgJlo
sort it out man you have a problem!
....that's another rubbish day in AAU Share Price land since the 6p peak. Taking account of weekends and bank holidays that's approximately day 800. Wonder if Dr S has noticed.
Any chance of something like this for all projects?

Give us some meat on the bone and a plan, or it just shows a lack of belief in what you are engaged in.
