All fine, John, thanks, apart from the malaise that is Ariana (well the malaise with the BoD, really).

I've stopped topping up as , like you, I need more information to make a more informed decision. Equally, I'm not selling, purely based on the back story built up over years which I still believe in (although my patience is being tested).

I suspect your last post has hit the nail on the head. Under-promise and overdeliver but only on the basic numbers rather than laying out (and being tested against) a longer term strategy.

Two things;
1. I love your unerring optimism, John (sarcastic emoji needed).....and, what I assume was a rhetorical question.
2. It's not often I agree with Paul but found myself unable to disagree with much of his latest posting. Gosh, it is a changing world we live in (apart from Ariana which seems to be stubbornly sticking to radio silence on key issues).

As for the Clarets - deserved nothing yesterday. Very poor show imho. Hope C&B is OK.....he doesn't seem to have been around much recently. Right, off to dust off my road map of the UK to remind myself of where Rotherham, Luton etc might be, in readiness for next season!

If it drops below 4p again I'll be in for a top up I reckon.

I do know what you mean, though, John. The last week or so has been very odd with a steady rise based on nothing (other than month or so out of date RNSs or perhaps the end of a big seller)?

All coinciding with a post-Dyche return to form for Burnley. Sad to see Dyche leave but happy with recent results. C&B hope you're well, although if you've been to Turf Moor for the last couple of games it'll have done nothing for your heart rate!

Maybe I'm being thick or naive (or both) but isn't AAU's strategy to be an explorer and then exploit the assets via JVs, John? If so, then this RNS shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.....in fact wouldn't it be more of a surprise if AAU did take outright ownership?

To be fair we could have expected a slightly bigger fall, perhaps. Seems like the sp is holding up reasonably well. (I do realise I've just put a commentator's curse on things, now).

As for the Clarets, I'm feeling the pain too, like C&B. Hopefully won't have the blues after playing the Blues this weekend......

@john.......I do hope so. Another (quite unlikely) victory tomorrow evening and Burnley will be into the heady heights of mid-table mediocrity (well, almost).

Not much else to say on AAU (or any other stock really). Awful times and I wish the best to anyone suffering with the situation in Ukraine (with the exception of Mr Putin).

Indeed. A win...at last for the Clarets....although I have to say, it's been coming. Still a long way from safety.

All sounds a bit like the AAU sp.......an sp rise has been coming although a long way from where it should be (mho). Drifting down again today. Needs another of your inspirational appeals to get it going again, John!

Good Lord - is peace breaking out between Clarets and Rovers types! Think our number could be up this season but I still live in hope......

As for AAU, I keep asking myself have any of the fundamentals really changed (at least, in the recent past)? Whether a fan of the JV and general approach of Kerim et al, we've known about that for some time now, so the fundamentals don't appear to have changed that much so I can't see how the recent sp slump should be attributed to that. John - you're highlighting slippage in timescales (which is disappointing) but doesn't change what's down there to be discovered/mined....just when we might get at it.
My son - who is a fund manager - keeps telling me that if I've done my research and I'm confident in that research then I should be brave enough to hold. and buy on the slumps. That's precisely what I'm doing.

I don't know what's more worrying, though, the prospect of Burnley being relegated or the fact that I now actually listen to my son (only occasionally, though)!!!!???

So MDV has exercised share options. As I see it he's sold as many as he needs to in order to, effectively, retain as many as he can and pay any tax liability to maximise the number of 'free' option shares.

What with this transaction and the KS purchase last week, this is encouraging and should be welcomed by the market but, as ever and as John suggests, it'll (probably) only mean the sp drifts lower (sighs)

I made that trip to Newcastle just before the lockdown in 2020. You'll need the Hubble telescope, C&B, to see the game with any clarity, given where they put the away fans.

As for AAU I almost - but not quite - give up. I just can't see who the sellers would be given the (continual good) news here, nor can I understand PG note. What am I missing?

Anyhow, I hope the trek to Geordieland has been worth it for Clarets everywhere...
