Love it. Youngster from 57, ha ha.
I'm a 58 model. Take a look at the Pegaso Z-102, built in Spain in 1958. Beautiful motor.
I watched the interview, and I think he's demure seems much better. He looks relaxed and confident, maybe he's really happy about AAU owning the Dokwe mine 100% outright and realising that giving away so much to Ozaltin wasn't such a good idea.
Congratulations to Turkey. Great result in the Euro's last night.
KS looked quite excited during that interview. Obviously a very good geologist. Just wish his timelines were as good.
Yes, many thanks for the link.
Not sure whats happening on the ADVFN site, but I won't be going on whilst the loonies are around.
I'm also in the elderly age bracket John, and am now getting my weekly allowance from the state, but look at AAU's history of missing deadlines. If I could believe them I wouldn't be as unhappy as I currently am. Surely you're looking at 5 to 7 years before the mine will be built and in production in Zimbabwe, and that's without political, social and economic issues which are never far away unfortunately.
Unfortunately worse to come tomorrow, once the merger is agreed with Rockover. Maybe new investors will come onboard once they list on Aussie market, but they'll have a long long wait for this. Didn't want to say it but more chance of Clarets winning Premier league than AAU becoming a 500 million pound company.
I have to say I'm disappointed with the recent move to get involved in Zimbabwe and still think its a mistake, but KS is adamant that this is the way forward. Maybe he does now realise that he gave away far to much to Ozaltin a few years ago. I've now just sold another tranche of shares today and hopefully I will of sold everything by the end of this year. I had high hopes of AAU at one time but now see that shareholders will have to wait a very very long time to see any gains here.
I voted against the merger, basically I don't believe that Zimbabwe is a suitable juristiction that I would want to invest in, therefore I probably would have sold out before the mine gets built, or just keep a small holding. But regarding funding the mine build costs, I hope that by then (5 years) they would have completed all works on Salinbas and would sell this to fund the Dokwe mine. SSR Mining who now own Hot Maden could be a possible buyer, don't forget before Dokwe came along Salinbas was the great hope for AAU. Just my thinking, could be miles off.
Yes, certainly will be voting against it
As you know I never wanted to invest in Zimbabwe, but now we know its going to be a minimum 5 year to construction so maybe add a few more years on to that, so I sold a chunk this morning. My only hope on AAU in the short term say 3 years is they sell off Salinbas, but I may have sold them all by then. 8 years almost wasted.
Hi John,
Its going to be a long time till this moves upwards. I should change my 3p date to maybe 2026. So annoying, could have got out a couple of weeks ago at almost 3p.
Hi DJ,
Can't say I'm enjoying the cricket either right now. Bad result because of the weather for us against Scotland, and then beaten by the Aussies. Lots of sport around for the next few weeks to keep me occupied til our footie season starts again, and we look to bounce back. Can't say I blame you for getting out, as not much to shout about last few years, but I'm still here and will keep my eye out for the right exit price for me. How's you're US weather ? 11 degrees here today, feels like an October day rather than June. Enjoy the cricket and stay safe.
I'll stay same as I put on ADVFN. 31st Jan 2025
Nice of you to pop in and have a punt Desertjoe. Hope you're keeping well.
There's not been too many RNS's that have gone down well John. I'm not sure the Q & A tomorrow will give us any answers either, as they usually end up with us scratching our heads at their answers. I'm still not particularly happy at getting involved in Zimbabwe, but it looks like Kerim wants some of the action there. I want to know whats happening in Turkey and Cyprus and whats he going to do to get the SP moving upwards as you can forget any dividends now for a few years.
You may be right John, KS is very conservative with his gold figures, but not so good with his mine building timings. I won't hold my breath that the mine will be finished in 5 years, never mind 3. I wanted big news news on Salinbas, but obviously now all efforts are going to be on Zimbabwe, and that's another issue for me, as I still think this country is a massive risk. Looking at the SP today, my date for 3p on the ADVFN site looks promising.
Once again, left feeling like KS has't done any favours to the SP with the news this morning. Why is it with KS that every RNS seems to ask more questions than give us answers. When it comes to timelines AAU aren't very consistent, and are instead consistently late, so take the 3 years with a pinch of salt. I like the idea of not having all their eggs in one basket and diversifying from Turkey, but not to Zimbabwe, and surely it would have made sense to get Tavsan up and running first. All in all, not very happy, and looking at the SP, not too many people are.
We didn't get any news John, but it looks like a bit of buying now. They are obviously working towards the revised resource at Tavsan. Maybe its going to be good news, especially with P of G as it is currently.
And another day of selling. Something tells me nobody seems very interested here.
Not for long I don't think. Some chunky sells coming through now.
Well done Van with your 2p guess. Back to under 2p now I see. I'm quietly confident of winning the 3p bet on the other site. There's not a chance of 3p for a while yet. The CEO at Panther thinks price of gold is going to go up, well he would wouldn't he, as he's the CEO, he's not going to say its going to go down. Jeez, you couldn't make it up, the stuff people want to believe.
3 points for the Clarets this weekend, as well so not too shabby at all.
