Hi John, Happy but a little angry (with the ref). Did you see MOTD? Another point for the Clarets. Should have been 3 but for a shocking decision by the ref not to give us a penalty. Anyway still unbeaten in 2019 in the league.
Anyway back to Ariana, I see some of the guys on ADVFN have done some rough fag packet calcs, if gold keeps rising I might buy a few more, but need SP to drop back a bit first. News slow at the moment, so maybe we could discuss cars, or even Brexit and why I won't be buying a new Nissan...its only because I don't like them. The mrs wants a Mazda MX5 but I've told her she has to wait until we get some positive news from AAU.
Many thanks VanVan for taking the time to speak to MDV and pass on the comments.
VanVan, many thanks for your reply, some good companies on there, do like the housebuilders and we need loads more houses but agree Brexit is the problem at the moment. My average is 1.3 so not complaining with these nice slow and steady rises of late.
Hi DJ
I have to agree that I worry with the mountain of debt at Sirius, but putting funds from SXX into AAU would also worry me. There are a few PI's with lots and lots of these shares and would prefer more institutions to buy in, but that won't happen at these prices. Ah well, thats why were all here, hoping, maybe one day.
If you don't mind me asking VanVan, are you owning Utilities companies? I looked at National Grid, Severn Trent and United Utilities amongst others
Yes good point for us on Saturday John. Just a pity Southampton beat Everton. John, I'm a bit worried as I share so many of your hobbies, especially hill walking and beer. I also have 2 major holdings which are AAU and SXX. They both worry me due to market cap and the fact that SXX is just a big hole in the ground at the moment, so soon I need to make a decision on whether to sell up and buy some shares in companies that pay good dividends and just take the money every year, or stay in these for the long run, with no return yet but maybe a good return when I'm very old...hopefully.
Unfortunately John will never be able to attend the AAU presentations as they are always held in London, and unless BFC get to a Wembley final I won't be going for a long time. Next time your in the Yorkshire Dales, pop into one of the great pubs in Settle and if you're wearing the bling I'll certainly spot you, and buy you a pint.
Forecasting powers? I'll just get my crystal ball out. Hopefully after 29th March when we're out of the EU gold might go up as the bankers say it will be apocalyptic. I'll just hold onto my AAU shares then eh?
3 points today John. Not well deserved but they all help for our survival. Not going to respond to all the bickering on the bb at the moment so will let it all fade away. Love the car stuff as usual but Maseratti? Not for me thanks. Prefer the Jaguar not that I'll ever own one.
John ignore them all, lets back back to football and beer.
Excuse my for butting in Noel, but its John who keeps this board ticking over with AAU information and proper stuff like football, (Burnley FC) for me, cars and beer, which are very important in our hard working lives. If you want to worry about who holds your cerficicates could you please worry about it on another company BB and not ours. Many thanks!
Wow Paul, great present. Get yourself in that Ferrari
Hi John
Yes I watched the game but went off to bed before the draw, yes Man City away so thats our Cup run over for the year.
Getting back to AAU I also read the ADVFN site where they are some good posters. I'm not in the ramping camp I just read and absorb what information I can. If the company is solid and well run then over time we may make some money. If Trumpy and Brexit continue as they are I do believe gold may increase which may help our share price. I will keep holding and maybe buy more but don't expect anything special to happen unless Salinbas turns out to be extraordinary. Still good to discuss cars, football and beer as it takes your mind off the share price, then we can maybe enjoy the news as and when it comes.
John must be on holiday, along with Desert Joe they keep this board ticking along.
John where are you? Clarets won again
Happy New Year to you John. May 2019 prove to be a good year for Ariana. Great result for Clarets yesterday. Celebrated with a few pints of finest Clitheroe brewed finest blonde beer. Wonderful.
Absolutely brillient that DJ, keep up the good work. I want to retire to Penang, not as hot as Nevada and it rains quite a bit.
Yes John we lost again, took Spurs till the 91st minute so pretty gutted about it. Getting back to AAU I would prefer Ariana to keep developing even if it takes a few more years. Yes there are risks, political unrest maybe but the upside is this could be sold in the future for many many times the current SP, I certainly hope so, and without any stock consolidation.
Sorry John, not twice for emphasis, its because I'm too thick to realise I'd already posted it.
LordofBurnley, must say its great to have another Claret around the place, as John said its a friendly forum, not like some others I could name. Its good to go off topic sometimes, especially football and beer. I'm going to add more now to have a round number.
I presume you bought in at a very low point then John, or you have a few million shares tucked away. I'm not brave enough to buy millions. wish I had a crystal ball though, as just been hit by Sound Energy who promised the world and have delivered nothing, so have to be extra careful now.
