It was early 2019 John ...Tell you what Claret. if it reaches 3p I'll come up an see you, if it reaches 1.5p first you come down and see me...……..!
You have to laugh, its been to 6p and back since then, one day Rodders, one day.
I'll be having a pint of Blonde Witch tonight (or maybe 2)
John, I too think this is a very good company, and for that reason I'm probably going to stay put for a while yet...hopefully. There's a lot to look forward to, but unfortunately its going to take a few years to get there. I'm not too worried about the divi being paid in 3 tranches, as obviously compared to some I don't have lot of shares. I still think AAU may sell their stake in Salinbas sooner rather than later, and the timing of this may catch people out who are in and out on a regular basis.
Its good to be back working again and fully fit ready for start of footie season, my season ticket has arrived, just hope I get to use it, or will they try to lock us out of the grounds again, even though we've just had the Euro's, Wimbledon and a Grand Prix, only time will tell.
I'll take the money but certainly won't be adding anymore. SP has fallen back from over 6p, and may even drop further. I suspect dividend paid this way stops pressure on SP. Ariana seems to have lost its way recently, maybe due to rubbish PR from Yellow Jersey, and no II's have jumped on board, and lets not mention how long after announcements things actually take place. Tavsan running behind schedule and Salinbas is light years away. Anyway, the sun is shining up north so off to enjoy the day. Take care all.
Not so sure about todays RNS. Not the best worded and still means the JV isn't yet all signed off, its just had government approval. I've been around here for a few years but my belief is maybe starting to wane.
I'm now at an age where I'm thinking about retirement ,and have just come out of hospital after major surgery due to the bloody C word, and hoping to have some good news whilst convalescing at home.
In my eyes its not all about the dividend, if we still have to wait for upgrade to mine at Kiziltepe and Tavsan coming on line which could be maybe 2 years off I can only see the SP stagnating for some time. The only positive is maybe that Ozaltin will want a quick return for their money, but how soon is quick? People comment about large uplift and blue sky but that's not what I can forsee in the near future. I may sell up but obviously not guaranteed that where I put my money would guarantee me decent returns either, so I will have to be careful with my decision making. It doesn't help being stuck indoors for next few months, its cold and wet and the Clarets not doing too good. Maybe we should get back to cars and nice beers. Apologies for the ramble but that's maybe the drugs, and all done on phone as no strength to fire up the laptop.
Take care everyone.
Hi LoB, yes still here.
Hope you and yours had a good Christmas.
Good result last night, although wasn't a thriller.
Glad when takeover all sorted and more funds for Sean Dyche to spend. I may top up today if it drops a little more, 2021 could be an interesting year, plenty of news flow...I hope.
Been a good few weeks here. Glad I stayed positive after the share dived couple of years ago.
Hi LoB, yes still here. Its been very quiet on LSE, as I don't think its a ramp fest on here as it is on ADVFN. I'm happy to keep hold and watch this grow slowly. I'm not too interested in the dividend as would prefer the SP to increase but it does seem a long way off as Tavsan (2022) and Salimbas will take years to come to fruition. Lets not talk about football at the moment. Nice to see the other LTH popping up this week.
Glad all well LoB. I'm quite happy here with the small increases. I'd never trade any share daily as I would mess up big time although I did buy some Boohoo shares recently when they plunged, but I'm going to keep them for a while.
Not happy with the Garlick and Dyche situation but I think they can resolve it. Where would he go and know that he's a really safe job for a few years?
Have a good weekend, hope we get some news next week on the JV.
LoB, Hope you're keeping well.
Good to see you're still around here. Its been very quiet recently been might be getting interesting very soon.
Roll on footie season, whenever we can get back to watching on the ground.
Hi John
No I'm not sticking pins into you just yet, but there is still a seller around, as the share price will no doubt slip further with no news for the next few weeks.
With regards to Tavsan, 20+ million cost and wont go into production now until 2020. EIA near completion, would have completed but for the Covid pandemic. AAU talking to lenders for borrowing cost of mine, but no info for debt repayment date. Think I'm also an old cynic so add 12 months rather than 6.
Off topic again, good end of season for Clarets, until tomorrow when we play Liverpool, then 2 weeks away from the laptop for me as I'm walking the Pennine Way starting 18th July. Maybe when I get back there will be further news, hopefully.
Hi VanVan, I saw your email posted this morning on the ADVFN site and yes you mention lots of positive things which should hopefully come out of the MoU. I do want the deal to go through as I want the SP to go up quicker than it currently seems to, but still think it will rise quickly only to fall back again. I see lots of people saying 40% rise or 10p pretty soon, but I can't see this getting above 5p for a long long time. For some reason this share is not popular with II's whether its the complexity of how the company is made up or the location but when you look as some other small mining co's their SP is doing much better than Ariana's. As things stand we know that Tavsan will be 2 years away and Salinbas many more so even though I enjoy the positive outlook many are seeing I don't think I'll be retiring soon due to the increase of Ariana's SP.
Great news this morning. Should be an interesting day.
I'm quite happy with this and will continue to hold.
Blimey desertjoe, you up early? Don't normally see you around till much later in our evening.
I quite liked MM2015 target price, not sure we'll get there very soon. Gone very quiet on the MOU, not mentioned in recent interviews, so that may knock the price back a little. I'm happy to stay for a few more years though and see the fruits of KS search for gold come to fruition. Crap weather here, heating back on.
Hi L of B, no I'm from the right side, Lancashire born and bred. Mum's was from Yorkshire and we have a place in Yorkshire Dales. Love the place, but still support Lancs at cricket. Ha ha
bbtablet that's brilliant !!!
I passed my driving test in a 1973 Ford Cortina 2.0. I had lessons and failed my test so my dad said I'll teach you how to drive properly. Took me out a few times, did the test in dad's car and passed next time. Have you seen the price of these cars to buy now. Wish I'd kept my Ford Capri.
Good RNS, but poor comments from some.
L of B, nice to hear from you, thought you'd sold and moved on. No football for us for a long time I think.
Hope everyone is ok.
It looks like we have a few strange posts today, 'taking the opportunity to get out' and '5p before end of the day'. Where do they come from. I don't think I'll get out just yet as I've held for many years and we certainly won't see 5p before next year unless the merger comes off, and if it doesn't this will probably drop back down as usual.
Back to work for now.
You're going to be busy John. I thought you were coming to Yorkshire for a few beers.
FED dropped interest rates. Well that worked well didn't it.
We've never been in this situation before, nobody knows what's going to happen.
Just try and stay safe everyone and we can come back to AAU in a few months time...hopefully.
