I've not spent all weekend thinking about this but it has come to a head.
How on earth do you get near 12% down in a day with no news whatsoever?
I'm made some terrible stock picking decisions as of late 😣 Hopefully get some good news soon to change the direction of this one 🤞

It’s just the algo’s mate. Spread is tight so the software doesn’t know what’s what. Doesn’t effect the actual price
29.99k was my buy but marked as a sell. MMs hiding buys.

Entirely agree, every now and again this pest comes in with yet another nonsensical post, just trolling without any thought of what he actually posts,.. he's a bloody danger to himself and needs to be banned from this bb.
"look" forward.......obviously :)
Whilst I wish the new BoD well and appreciate the need to loon forward, and whilst acknowledging how this is probably a dumb question in as much as I can probably guess the answer........Was anybody from the previous BoD or wider WAND management ever held legally accountable for what went on here previously?
Have never posted in TG group. Just not sure how Wandisco is going to make money. Though new signing from Sage was positive.
So what is Wand for .. ? What it’s good at is spending investor cash ..£250m raised so far?.. to go backwards. Still at least Sheffield Wednesday gets some benefit!
It is not a stupid question though - sorry if you don’t like thinking about it - but they have been trying to sell their patented large data migration tools for over 10 years - and it hasnt exactly flown off the shelves! In fact most (all?) of the real revenue still comes from the tail of their legacy product according to annual report. So fair question - and having read their blurb .. I don’t think it is at all obvious.
And this isn’t trolling, this is just a different view ! Ignore as you wish!

"The rebranding of the Company does not alter the Company's business operations or financial framework."
The Company's turnaround is quickly gaining momentum with a new leadership team; new and effective governance and control mechanisms; an energized group of talented professionals; and a focused go-to-market and growth strategy
Also suspect they will want any new business reported now under the new name. Big month ahead I feel.
Got all excited then! Still onward and upward.

We might feel like patients, but we all need patience at the moment..............
How far off can an announcement now be that WAND has won some new contract? There must be some stuff to be announced very soon - I expect another institution to load up shortly accordingly.........
Buy hold see where your at in a year, was stated 2023 would be re branding and fixing things in house and going after big contracts, big contracts I assume take time to put into writing terms ect, 2024 was when we were going to see the fruits of labour, good luck long term holders think will come good 😊

FrDick, and that was even below the closing sell price. Think I may reinvest again once it gets below 55p, after that not much downside.
Chill, massive £8.45 buy at 16:57:27, will definitely rally in the morning.
Took the words right out of my mouth,.. the silence is deafening in here. I have a small portfolio of 6 stocks and beginning to wonder what is happening. All my other stocks have healthy amounts of trades and vibrant bb's,.. getting a little concerned with this one.
Can someone please wake me up when the share price starts rallying again?
This is beginning to get repetitively boring each day

only problem with that is that they are ****e and bottom of the league ( sorry wednesday fans from a swans fan who is in the same boat !)
Just noticed that the hoardings around the Hillsborough football ground are promoting Sheffield based 'Cerata', so at least we're getting some exposure for our pre paid sponsorship of Sheffield Wednesday.

Any new business would not want association with WANdisco's past, so hopefully the launch of Cirata will coincide with more contract announcements.
Contract announcements under the new Name sounds very plausible.
Prob going to announce a few at once fwith new name change going official next week.
To my mind they're going to need to start producing RNS's of new and large contracts soon if there is to be any possibility of meeting previous guidance, it's been extremely quiet here as of late.
Well, i was hoping to be close to my buy in price today but still highly confident in this share. Hopefully October brings good news…. surly it has to. May as well buy some more at this price.

This is all hugely positive in my mind.
Some after hours trades in - not huge volume but not been published until close. I think the rise should continue, stock looks to be in the ascendence.
@Guiness25

Seems a lot going on behind the scenes at WAND- thats a serious hire https://www.linkedin.com/in/destinibaxter/ she would not have moved after 7 years at Sage if things didnt look promising here. She's very much in with key people at Microsoft and Amazon. News Q4 re new name and branding, new ticker too. Technicals look good for 100p + over next few weeks. Future funding will more than likely be well in excess of where we are today, and at that juncture, could be a strategic investment.
Lots to look forward to.
@walkley Do you really think Kelly would be attracting senior hires to join, including this key hire from Sage, if this wasn't a long term opportunity...?

Sold today after watching this SP go down for several days and before I lost all my profit. I do however think this is a good share long term and possibly after a further issue of shares at a discount to shore up finances. I do believe this will need to happen before December. I will continue watching with interest and buy back in when I think the time is right. Good luck to all still holding.
A cash injection is not needed for survival immediately post Christmas. That's simply inaccurate.
Unless the institutions who have put money in are willing to give them more time and will put more in!
Or cashing out before the discount for the fund raise …??
I’m estimating (so nothing other than public data) cash injection needed for survival beyond Christmas so RNS on raise in next 21-28 days ..??
Happy to be wrong on back of a rabbit out of hat miracle- but history isn’t on their side
I don't think there's actually been a lot of selling, merely a completely disproportionate response to any selling.
Last post: Pearls, 26 Sep 2023 22:45
Great comment TT1981
Given that for most tech firms a disproportionate amount of deals get over the line right towards the end of the quarter (this Friday) then I'm expecting at least 1 juicy RNS this week / early next week latest. GLA.
"The Company continues to endeavour to share with investors news of new contracts and renewals, including those of smaller sizes, in order to communicate the ongoing progress being made in re-engaging with current and prospective customers and positioning WANdisco for long-term growth and success." RNS 10th July
Walkley, those are fair comments but logically, given how recently they were made, Kelly is either delusional or completely aware of a level of bookings just not apparent from the current level of RNS's.
I suspect, and I think the market will agree, that Kelly is aware of a range of deals going on behind the scenes for which the RNS's merely pointed to something coming through rather than the full size of the deals. Take the Ford one for example - I just cannot believe there was not more to come off the back of that one.
Also, now the dust has settled after the rights, and things are financially normalising again and buyers of the Group's services are going ahead again with things, I thoroughly expect bookings to materially increase. I would not expect every single thing to be advised by RNS, some deals will surely have commercial parts to them that are commercially sensitive, and cannot be spelt out so widely.
Shareholders then should expect some news in this regard, but each RNS on a booking win represents, in my view, like the top of the proverbial iceberg, a much bigger potential deal underneath. The H2 bookings should confirm this view.
On 11 September stated: "H2 2023 Bookings are expected to be in the range of $4.3m to $6.0m." When the bookings come they will have to be spectacular as only $600k have been announced to date this half.

6 shares bought at 77.8p? I'll not waste any more of my time trying to work that one out. RNS'S of new contracts slow in coming but feels like something simmering.
Apologies - slight typo - the next update is due at the beginning of November.
Fascinating watching these little trades going through as the marketmakers attempt to manipulate the price for the lowest outlay. What other stock goes up and down in response to such small trades?
Separately, Friday evening's RNS makes me wonder how many other late RNS's will be advised? Also who were Clark buying on behalf of or was it in connection with Vestoo?
Questions, questions, in an increasingly illiquid market......with October's update coming shortly.....

Found this thread funny as Clark BP own these guys.
Using an AI to create FUD… whatever next?! Lol
Imminent RNS should see this back over £1. GLA!
What was the point of that post Jiffy..better stick to GGP I guess
Ever heard of Anthropic, AI website, just plugged in this question to see what it would spit out.Realise there has now been a change of management etc so don't take this too seriously . Read some of the 2022 Annual Report and strategy looks very promising if the new CEO can grow sales etc.Still, always interesting to get another view.
Question: Wandisco is a interesting company, what are your thoughts on it succeeding over the next 5 years so that it actually makes a profit?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Answer: Wandisco does have an interesting technology platform, but its prospects of becoming profitable over the next 5 years face some uncertainties:
Competition - The data replication and AI ops markets have seen growing competition from both startups and large tech companies. Wandisco will have to stand out with superior technology and execution.
Sales execution - While Wandisco has bluechip customers like Microsoft and IBM, it has struggled to convert pilots and proofs of concept into steady revenue growth. Better sales execution will be key.
Shift to cloud - As enterprises move to public cloud platforms, Wandisco will have to keep evolving its offerings to maintain relevance. Cloud data migration and management require different solutions.
Path to profitability - Wandisco has focused on growth and still loses money. It will need to optimize its cost structure and demonstrate a viable path to profitability at scale. This may require it to rethink pricing, resources, etc.
Funding needs - Wandisco is likely to require additional funding if revenue growth remains uncertain. Funding environment has become more challenging given economic conditions.
Competition from cloud vendors - The big cloud platforms are enhancing their native data replication and management capabilities. This could make Wandisco less essential over time.
Overall, while Wandisco offers some differentiation, the growth and profitability outlook remains challenging given market dynamics and execution risks. Significant outperformance of expectations would likely be needed for it to achieve sustainable profits in 5 years. But the potential cannot be ruled out.

At they are in the US they are not obliged to report until they reach 5%
Possibly they have just updated WAND of their current position and WAND
released a RNS.
The completion date shows as 21/08/2023 for further confusion and also 'Previous position' shows as NIA but I assume they're the same as Clark BP who hold / held 3,168,567 (2.76%). It would be good if people could get the basics right.
Agree and needs clarification if incorrect.
Surely that date has to be a mistake.
I think it should have been 21/9/23 not 21/7/23
Https://polaris.brighterir.com/public/wandisco/news/rns_widget/story/rnoopkw
The threshold crossed date is 21st July.

Predict the civilised bit won't last😄,but I have invested a 5 figure sum based on what I consider a good medium term investment, my medium term in an age of instant gratification is one year, have seen the arguments on both sides but what can't be denied is the serious money put in by people who presumably aren't in the habit of losing it,each to their own
This board has become civilised with reasonable posts discussing the merits of Wandisco. Well done everyone.
Nobody is getting their 13 quid back here soon, wait until the next cash raise and there will be profits after that

I can see the institutions filling any cash raise (what's a 30m gamble to them?)
The CEO has put his money where his mouth is and I am super confident that he will turn it around
I can see the cash raise being announced as soon as next week. They could give away half the business for 50p raising £30m which would give the CEO some breathing space to turn it around
@Ravenswell
If you cannot see the potential being in after suspension with Kelly at the helm, that is your loss..
Maybe Smallwheel can give you a lift... All of your posts have been negative here.... Kelly
has been transparent about everything he has discovered, and still believes he can turn
it around...He landed GM in months... I look forward to the next contract win and the many
after that... If you had a clue you would see someone is building a significant position
here, do come back for a chat when the TR1 lands .....
Manifesto, You really don't like anyone having a different point of view do you? Playground name calling and suggestions to depart seems to be your only reaction .. You must realise it undermines what you want others to believe?
On Smallwheel's post - they have just done the sums, like others and worked out at the cash burn rate, taking out the cost of the raise, and the absence of deals bringing in real cash, means the business will need more working capital before Christmas. My prediction as you know is in October - and its going to be very tough on existing holders because there is almost nothing other than hope in the new CEO to point at - (that hasnt been promised for years). Other businesses with these revenues and ebit profile measure their value in pence and life expectancy in months.. which makes following your money very brave for institutions.
Did i say SP , meant BP

I’m holding in anticipation for another move up
100K Buy just in...2P ABOVE the Ask...
There is big demand here... Don't be fooled by the usual opening
tree shake... GLA!
Would be nice to move closer to 80p again, but realistically I think staying at 70p without news on contracts is positive.
It shows the drop was too much and helps us build a steady base to move up from in the coming months.
For any here from before suspension I do hope you have some spare funds to reduce your average and take advantage of the current low price.
With the right news and consistency in winning new contracts we can see £1 or more in a couple months, but will take a while to be back into multiple £ territory.
I do think it's very low chance of retreating much from here though, except for fishing MMs
The thing to remember here is the VERY small number of shares in Public
hands. With the strong buying over the last week it must be less
than 10% of the total issue... TR1's often land during trading hours,
I think someone has been building a position here. Hopefully
finish in the 80's today. GLA!
