That two year marker was referred to in a reputable financial rag....I've just done some digging, and find, surprise, surprise - that the rag in question was telling porkies, apols for mentioning it.

The 6 month marker is the crucial one, and once passed, with explanations to FCA...it is up to them whether a company's shares are cancelled or not, all circumstances taken into consideration. It does seem however, that if a reverse takeover situation is being considered, it should be completed before the shares come back to market.

We have just over a month left before the 2 year mark...when FSA rules kick in....
