Pets at Home Group Plc: Directorate Change 

Pets at Home Group Plc, the UK's leading pet care business, announces the appointment of Zarin Patel as independent non-executive Director with effect from 14 April 2021. Zarin will succeed Karen Whitworth as Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee when Karen steps down on 20 May 2021.

Zarin is a chartered accountant who spent 16 years at KPMG followed by a nine year period as Chief Financial Officer of the BBC and latterly was the Chief Operating Officer of The Grass Roots Group plc, a customer and employee engagement specialist.

Zarin is a non-executive director and Chair of the Audit Committee of Anglian Water Services Limited, a non-executive director of Post Office Limited and an independent member of the Audit and Risk Committees of both HM Treasury and John Lewis Partnership plc, although the latter appointment will end on 13 April 2021. Zarin is a Trustee of National Trust and chair of its Audit Committee.

On appointment, Zarin will become Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee and a member of both the Remuneration Committee and the Nominations and Corporate Governance Committee.
