Are we EVER going to get two consecutive blue days after news? I'm beginning to wonder if, say, Rio made an offer of 10p a share our sp would actually go up. Or down.

Unfortunately for us, another law seems to have been written into the canon of investing - the value of your company is in inverse ratio to the number of tweets it pumps out.

If there is one thing I would "de-invent" it's Tweets. We have got to the ridiculous phase in the world's evolution where seemingly the most important way to communicate - even the fact that you are about to declare thermonuclear war - is via blasted Twitter.

No, it's not the worst. Disappointing so far, maybe, but worst? Not for me. That dubious accolade goes to the late-lamented Xcite Resources. If I had a pound for every time the phrase "now totally derisked" was bandied about on these boards in 2010, I'd have been wealthy from that source alone. If you think UFO's current sp is unfortunate, £4.50 to literally nothing I think outpaces that :)

I do wonder a bit about all these presentations and their efficacy in bringing new investors on board. Surely SERIOUS potential investors will have already been doing their research quietly and painstakingly over a reasonable length of time? Rather than suddenly thinking, "Yeah, this one looks a good idea" because they've had a few canapes and the presence of a happy, smiling CEO.

"Be patient" is the motto on the coat of arms of AIM. And like all good ancestral coats of arms it implies having a perspective spanning generations.

So today we close down 4%. Tomorrow we will be up 4%. Monday we will be down 4%. Tuesday.... Alien is definitely in there with the likes of Norwich, Watford and Fulham :):)

I gave up ages ago, B_B, ascibing any credibility to LSE's so-called record of Buys and Sells. I'd get more sense asking my dog. How can 0.646 be a "Sell" when they claim the Bid is 0.60?

Well, it's obviously not just you, cj, since 5 people (so far) have ticked you up. Sadly, of course, we have seen similar expressions of optimism every week for over a year. And voices of reality who have dampened things down with reasoned arguments why the fruits will flow the year after next. The current "year after next" is 2024, which has replaced 2023.

I got shot down a week or so ago , steve, when I pointed out that eventually you run out of chances to do more placings, when the sp is so low there is almost nothing to discount.

Yes, what a difference a day makes, livestock. Yesterday people were happily announcing big buyers piling in. This share has a very fickle following, even by traders' standards. I have been in AIM more years than is good for one's mental health, and yet I never cease to be amazed by those who will drop a share like it's diseased if it has failed to make them into multi-millionaires within half-an-hour, 40 minutes tops.

Large red numbers in portfolio red, yes, DRG. And sp red. But trades are large blue numbers. As I said before, AIM is very Alice in Wonderland, isn't it?

Good for you, Lyndon. I'm hoping to buy more, just hovering to choose my moment. Isn't AIM bizarre? It defies all the laws of supply and demand. "Here's a good secondhand motor. Yours for just £5,000, guv. Oh, TWO of you would like to buy it? In that case, it's £4,000".

I think I know the one you mean, HH :) Heavens, when I first invested there I was still in short trousers, and now I am looking at funeral plans :):)

Glad now I didn't do my first top up for months in the 70s. I'm now asking myself if I should wait for the 50s? Or even the 40s? God help us! As someone said last week, I dread to think how this would perform if the company kept releasing Bad news.
