Thank you, HH. As you will see, your assessment is quite neatly in line with how I see timeframes. I'd certainly not ascribe "long term" to anything as close as 12 months (or even 18). Except, maybe, when it comes to making marmalade :)

I'd be interested to hear people's definitions of "medium to long term". These vary depending on the enterprise concerned - from making marmalade to constructing nuclear power stations or high-speed railways. With regard to UFO would, for example, "medium term" mean we'd be talking about 2025-2030, and by "long" 2030+?

What I was getting at was the irrelevance of getting excited about iron ore prices on a daily, almost hourly, basis, when we are not yet in a position to take advantage of them. Like I said, we might just as well be talking about the price of handbags for the next few months, and then see what the price of iron ore - or handbags :) - is. This seemed to be the same message from 12Roses.

I said this months ago. 12Roses... it's like a celebrity-induced craze for high-fashion handbags is absolutely pointless to get fixated on if your factory isn't producing handbags.

Thank you for your clarification of the processes involved, Max. Maybe the email that cj has sent to the company might stimulate a further clarification as to when the Native Title Agreement negotiations that you mention are anticipated to commence after all. A few months delay, as you suggest, could take us well into the back end of this year. If that was at least spelled out it would perhaps help prevent people getting restive.

I'm a bit confused by the WA website, cj. According to that, the next meeting of the Aboriginal Cultural Material Committee is on 8 February this year, to consider submissions made by 7 December 2022. After that, the next meeting will be 7 March, for submissions made by 11 January. Unless my confusion means I'm reading completely the wrong thing, it would appear that heritage certificate turnaround is about two months and they are now dealing with the December batch of submissions. So what has happened to ours?

In the broader scheme of things it's all quite symptomatic of present-day society. Some of we Ancients can remember when you got paid a salary and that was all, however hard you worked and however stellar your performance. You might be lucky and get a bottle of whisky at Christmas, and that was that. Nowadays? You've turned up for work on time... have a bonus! You've made it all the way to the end of the afternoon... have a bonus!

It's the 'permission to mine' that concerns me. How many years does this take? As I mentioned once before, when I was in SGZ it took over two years, from start to finish, for such permission to be granted under the Scottish way of doing things. Everyone and their auntie had to be 'statutory consultees' in the process. Is it much the same in Oz?

Exactly, Dickie. Maybe Damo wasn't saying that I am the subtle deramper, but that I have been the victim of subtle deramping. I have certainly noticed this trend that exasperates you as well. That we are gradually softened up to have to accept 2023 before seeing any positive movement, before 2024 becomes the "accepted wisdom", and then 2025 is dripped into the discussion.

Don't think of me as any kind of deramper, Damo. I am desperate for this to take off as soon as possible. Just getting thoroughly demoralised by talk of 2025.

You mention 2025, Steve. I think this is what is straining the patience of even those of us who have committed to riding it out. That the end of the rainbow keeps going further and further out of reach. First it was going to be 2022, then it was going to be 2023, then 2024, now 2025. It is hard to keep the faith, even though we want to.

I do appreciate the intellectual effort and trading experience that goes into talk of candles, etc, , tacet. I always think it has great precision, no doubt, but cannot take into account the unexpected human input from the likes of Mr Putin and Mr Xi.

One thing that has always bemused me, Unclejim, is Who ARE these people who post on boards (not just this one) all day and every day? Irrespective of whether they are for or against. I am retired, for God's sake, but I'd certainly never have the time to engage in board activity incessantly.

Funny, Awp, when I was first an "innocent abroad" on these boards many years ago, I'd never heard of "rampers" and "derampers". And I may have been slow in learning too, because the first stock I was really engaged with had a board of very genuine people and great camaraderie, where all of us helped each other out with research, to the greater or lesser extent that we were individually capable of. I was fortunate enough to find another board like this too. But sadly they seem to be a minority, and most of us have to accept that we swim with sharks.

Very sorry to hear that, Forrest. UFO is my Last Hurrah on AIM. When (if?) I make anything like a reasonable profit here I am out of AIM for good. I have been successful here and there, but on balance the losses outweigh the gains, numerically and financially. Like you, the loss has not been insignificant either.

I really do not know when to dip in again and load up with more of these. As I said the other day, the 0.35 figure that seems to have become the "given" is looking a bit too optimistic for me, I said I would never be surprised to see 0.25. But on current trends - the "death by a thousand cuts" that GlenFidrich mentions - I wouldn't disbelieve that even 0.10 is possible in the short term.
