As an aside, it's always rather amused me about every AIM board that I've read over years and years that people always adopt "Rod" or "Bill" or "Tom, Dick or Harry" as though they're their best buddies from down the pub. Do people talk about CEOs from the FTSE100 like this? Would "Rod" recognise them from the proverbial Adam? Or care?

I'd go further than perhaps most of you. I should like to see a return to pre-"democracy" and autocratic rule by the monarch, the like of which has not been seen in Britain since the early-seventeenth century. "Democracy" has served our country badly. Look where we are now.

Yes, Inittowinit2, I think you may be right and I was wrong after all. I was going by one of those 'What happens now' articles that gave the impression that suspension was implemented immediately. It's odd, though, because I'd have thought that a proper mark of respect should certainly have included tomorrow, if not next week.

Yes, jwoz, you are right in every instance. As for the suspension, yes I imagine this will now be until after the funeral has occurred. A one-day suspension would only be token and hardly a fitting mark of respect. That will surely require compliance with the full official mourning.

I wasn't thinking so much of people selling up in the open market to break even or make a very small profit, smiller, I was thinking more of being confronted by a low TO bid which those - for example any .85 placing holders still around - who hold a majority in the company might agree to. Then we smaller holders would have no say in the matter.

A concern of mine, Steviom. The longer this is in the doldrums, the greater the risk to LTHs that they will have waited all this time and end up with nothing like fair value. Like you, I suspect there would be many holders who would jump at a TO lower than 2.7, unfortunately.

Yes, nookie, I've commented on this phenomenon numerous times. That a blue day for UFO will be followed by one, possibly two or three, red days, is one of the ineluctable facts of life. Like Xmas always falling on 25th December. Two consecutive blue days are like the proverbial hen's teeth.

Yes, I am holding, as I have for quite some time now. But, as I was saying only last week, DGR, I do so hope that we can sustain this tomorrow and, if not rising much further for while, can at least break this frustrating pattern of one blue day followed by two or three red ones. It's not that I don't like it 944. In fact, in a more modest way than your self, I'm occasionally adding rather than getting out. It won't make much difference now, whatever happens. Andy, this is the same question I have just been discussing with DRG1980. Not that we expect a stellar rise on what is, for the time being, just interim news, but that it would be less dispiriting if the modest rise on any piece of news could just be sustained beyond 8 hours.

I respect what you are saying, DRB83, about "what is just around the corner". I don't dispute that you are absolutely correct. The point, however, is that many of us now - of whom Willow1974 is obviously one - have lost all confidence that this impending good news will have any positive impact on the share price. Because we are now conditioned to seeing good news after good news after good news doing nothing but whittle away even more of our investment. This is the situation. Not that we doubt that UFO has a lot more good news to announce. We have just lost confidence that it will do any good for us.
