HH, I'm thinking of going back into SGZ in just a small way, for old time's sake. It was always a bit of an emotional involvement, living in Scotland myself. Though, as you well recognise yourself, whether I would ever benefit or whether my executors just sell up would remain to be seen :)

In my case it was SGZ. HH was there too, I believe, but it's not the one he is describing. BTW, SGZ was also the reason why I keep counselling patience here with UFO when people seem to be assuming that official approvals are all "done and dusted" in a matter of weeks. It took over 2 years to get through the laborious Scottish process of consulting with every last old wifey and her border collie.

Funnily enough, cj, the man at the top in the case I mentioned had an enormous amount of skin in the game. What sunk us all was the rapid upward trajectory in sp in those final days and weeks, which meant that the "mates rates" had been negotiated at a lower point on the curve.

Yes, Barrett and cj, patience is key. Like you, Barrett, I lost more than I ever made by jumping here and jumping there. But timing when to sell once the rewards come is also key. I once was patient and in the red for 10 whole years and then in the black for just 2 weeks! But I fumbled it by not selling, thinking, After all this time, surely this can now only continue to go up. Whereupon the BOD stabbed us all in the back by issuing a placing at "mates rates" of a discount of 30%. And it only went downhill from there.

But I am bitterly upset and offended by Max's comment about me "posting lies".

When the "lie" in question was a document IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN, quoting the then Prime Minister of Australia.

Now maybe we don't believe the Prime Minister was correct. But we surely do not call people liars for quoting and giving at least some credibility to what a Head of Government states openly? Yes, Max, I AM offended.

In the light of the current "discussion" it might be that those who complain about a "lack of news" do have a point. I know, I know, I know, that there is no point in issuing an RNS if you do not have anything significant to say. So I would substitute the word "communications" for "news". Some of this present edginess might be smoothed over if the company gave us just a little bit more informal communication about what is going on. There must, for example, have been meetings with KNAC, so would it hurt to just say so?

Max, HH, perhaps the best way to resolve this is for someone - not one of us, but another "neutral group member - to email the WA Government and ask them just what the truth is. Not about our own specific case - that would be commercially confidential - but where in the continuum between nano-second and eternity the actuality of application processes timescales lies in general terms.

Don't get me wrong, max, we are on the same side. I want this to succeed as much as you do. But I just want to underline the realism that cj invoked in replying to Going. We might well make some money in this share, but it isn't going to be soon.

Goingtomoonufo, as others have said, a bit more patience is required. I am with HH on this. With the slippage that comes with almost any project, not just mining, and the 21-month licence application process, which no-one other than HH seems to have picked up on, my gut feeling is that we will enter production late-2024/early-2025. But at most that's only two years away, less time than since the heady days of October 2020.

Looks like you're wasting your time today, Max. The "herd" will be elsewhere, all scrambling to be millionaires by 8.30 :)

pepe, please read the earlier thread that I started about KNAC Newsletter Edition 2 which was published on their website yesterday. They held a Native Title meeting in December at which it appears that IOCA was not discussed. And their calendar on their website also appears to be saying that there will be no further heritage work done until the beginning of March. I say "appears" deliberately because all we have to go on are these PR vehicles - the website and the Newsletter. We don't know from just this brief information where IOCA might actually be in the queue. It could, for all we know, be right up there at the front.

is now up on their website. There is a brief resume of a meeting held on 2 December "to consider a number of Native Title matters". There is mention of entering into a Native Title Agreement with Pilbara Manganese, but no mention of IOCA. But, as I say, this is only a brief overview of the meeting and not necessarily inclusive of everything discussed. Neither does it mention when the next meeting would be taking place, which might be very soon for all we know.

When you say "this year", livestock, do you mean the current tax year? Or do you mean the calendar year, which also happens to be UFO's accounting period? No licence in the latter would indeed be a cause for very significant delay and some concern The former, the tax year, may be of interest to some PIs, but no licence by then would not be the end of the world.

Don't worry, napthman1, we are all guilty at times of being too concerned about the calendar. But rationally there is nothing more significant about 31st January than there is about 30th January or 1st February. Unfortunately, the latest idea we are likely to get fixated on is mining starting by the end of Q4. So no doubt we'll get a bit frayed if that hasn't happened by 1st January. Maybe we should bin our calendars.

Q4 is perhaps psychologically not a bad thing. Something to cheer us up at the moment we're about to go back into dark mornings, dark nights, ice, wind, incessant rain, and another hammering on the grocery, fuel and energy bills and another "worst winter ever" for the NHS. A bit of positivity amongst the doom, gloom and misery that has become the British way of life.

The full paragraph from the IOCA update of 24th October to which Max refers is:
"The Heritage Agreement has been finalised with the Karlka Nyiyaparli Aboriginal Corporation (KNAC) which is the Native Title representative group for the Nyiyaparli People. IOCA is now progressing heritage survey works and the commencement of Native Title Agreement negotiations. This is anticipated to be completed in Q4 2022".

So this is saying "The Heritage Agreement HAS BEEN FINALISED" (my caps). It is the Native Title Agreement which is under negotiation (hopefully). How the two fit together is as clear as mud to me, but at least we can clarify the terminology which we use in our post headings and post content.

Indeed you are right, wentsland, it could land on Monday. The KNAC Newsletter to which I have referred records the various meetings with companies with which KNAC was involved between June and early-August, which does not include UFO. That was Newsletter Edition 1, September 2022, and tantalisingly, despite them saying "We look forward to sharing news...with you here every few months", Edition 2 has not yet been posted, which presumably will list meetings from August to possibly November, in which UFO might (or might not) be included, and which could (or could not) herald your Monday landing. We wait, as you say.
